My kind preferred work day... 🪚🪵🪓
Did I see the rare sighting of a "Bart"foot in his unnatural environment?? Lol lol
LOL!!! It is a rare sight. He only shows up when its time to cut the big ones! 🤔
@GoodWoodTJ208 lol lol
L👀KS LIKE nott well managed Replanted
True story the cable machines are fewer and fewer every year.
Thanks for the comment - especially the further north you go.....
Out west, youd be hard pressed to find a winch on most jobs
Good video guys!
Thanks for watching!
Love this
A two stroke diesel
Nice hitch!! Old school!! No doors , heat or ac,. One with nature!! Get to enjoy all smells sounds!! 👍👍🇺🇸🤟
You are right for sure! I wish I could import the smell into my videos....nothing like it! Thanks for the comment.
Limbs slap you a lot.
Where do I get that exact one
www.logging-supplies.com/ You'll have to call them. They have almost anything you need for a Timberjack!

Where did you get that block heater
@@splinx8731 www.logging-supplies.com/ You'll have to call them. They have almost anything you need for a Timberjack!
I’m a simple man. I hear CCR I watch
Why the block heater
Just trying to help it start on cold mornings. It was -3 F on this morning.
My grandpa used to start campfires under his old TJ, I run an old Tree Farmer C5 with a Detroit and I have a magnetic block heater, use it allot. Before that I used a big propane heater with a canvas tarp.
On ne ressort jamais un talon pars cette technique car risque de coinssage sur des des arbres qui tendent vraiment . Toujours couper par derrière
Great job my friend👍I know that blow downs are not so easy to cut🤘work safely
Thanks for the comment! Blowdowns are tricky for sure.
Nice skidder
👍
Bigger Skidder than your other one you run, good to see other guys hand cutting
Yup....this is my Dad's skidder. I like the extra clearance and it's a heavier machine too. Thanks for the comment.
What year model is it?
Умно.
This is where the ass,in this close should be a females with way tighter jeans! TY
Hope you have a great run this year so ole Bart can get a new pair of drawers
Haha! Times are tough at Chandler's Sugar Shack....
Looks handy
It works pretty good. Got to have the right landing setup for it though. Thanks for the comment 👍
Det cord?
It's high tensile wire which we are attaching plastic tubing.
Would love to see a full length video on this operation, both the prep work and when your producing in the spring! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comment!
I didn't know that you can do that in fall too I only have dine that in spring.
Very few people will collect sap in the fall (there is a freeze thaw cycle so it's possible) but the sap volume is much less as is the sugar content. We aren't collecting sap, just installing some new tubing for next spring. We only actually collect sap from Feb to April. Thanks for the comment!
Love this!
Me too! Thanks for the comment.
If you want to stay alive you'd better learn to do a humbolt undercut.
Poplar is nice quick cutting. It adds up fast too.
For sure...if you had a steady diet of poplar and pine the livin' would be easy!
@@GoodWoodTJ208 always fun to throw a big stand of hemlock in for fun🤣
What do use the poplar for?
This is going for pulpwood (making tissue and kraft pulp). There are some other mills in the area making OSB products though.
@@GoodWoodTJ208 diddn't now that you can make osb out of pulpwood.
good hitch
Thanks for the comment!
Nice poplar
Popple?
Popple is probably a Maine term - this tree is more widely known as quaking aspen or just poplar (all the same tree here). Thanks for asking!
@@GoodWoodTJ208 In the south, Poplar is used to refer to Tulip Poplar. We don’t have many Aspen trees here, unless they’re ornamental.
That big poplar adds up quick.
I might be cream hauling a little bit...🤔
I guess you like Husqvarna saws? Any noticeable problems with them? I use the older Husqvarna saws. 61 , 268xp, 288, just got a 36 and I have a couple Jonsered saws, Cheers
I have always used husqvarna and like them, but to be fair have never tried anything else. Like anything they will have their breakdowns but overall seem pretty reliable. I think you have to clean the inside, under the covers more often than on the old saws. If you are diligent about cleaning inside they seem to not have many issues. Thanks for the comment!
You just wanted to show off your chain sharpening ability, didnt you? lol jk nice saws brother!
Thanks for the comment!
Rippers !
👍👍
what is all the black shit on them. Clean them things up every now and then.
I don't disagree they need a cleaning. It's balsam fir pitch. When cutting fir on a steady basis you'd have to clean them daily to keep up with it. It doesn't come off easy either. Over cleaner is what I use.
@@GoodWoodTJ208 oven cleaner?
Thanks for the comparison. In my opinion, for the average working man that doesn't have extra money laying around, the few hundreds of a second isn't enough of difference to make a difference. Pick the one with the price you can afford and enjoy.
I can't disagree...but I will say the extra power in a lighter saw is nice. Thanks for the comment.
Excellent video, shows you care about what you are doing, being mindful of the new growth ,but still getting the job done.....and not working the T Jack to the bone!!Love your videos
Thanks for the comment. I'm a forester by trade so really try to take care of the woods. I'm also NOT a mechanic so try to go easy on the machine....because I'm not great at fixing them!
You forgot the timberjack.
Haha! I'd be about 3 or 4 hitches per tree I think....I'd like to know how many cords per acre there were there.
Those inverted stumps can be dangerous and hard to read. Nice work.
They are tricky....never know where the tension is!
That’s some beautiful timber.
The diameter was impressive, but the height and lack of taper was what really stood out!
Our trees are kind of a joke here honestly. We have bushes in Maine excluding the occasional nice big pine. Just look at the wood in other eastern states even. Our hardwood looks like bushes in comparison to most places.
You are certainly correct. I believe it's a function of both the soils and growing season and the Maine forests being mostly industrial and close to a lot of mills for a lot of years. Even today the forest products industry here is SUBSTANTIALLY more active than in other northeastern states. Thanks for the comment.
Nice Trees-R-Us Oregon
Yes, this was a visit to Oregon
Great video, you have the best logging road building vidios on youtube they have helped me fix 4kms of my road thank you
Thanks for the comment. The videos could be better but I'm glad they helped!
@GoodWoodTJ208 no the videos are great they helped for sure love the cutting videos too i know its a lot of work thank you for taking the time to make them
👍👍
The work before the real work.
That's for sure....the excavator does most of the work at this stage!
Тема сосков не раскрыта... 🤔
You would save time and money with a good brush axe/hook
Why would you pay double what I pay for port work and only get mediocre gains.?
@JS-oy6nn Where do you get port work done? First ported saw I've ever run, so I'm open to options for sure. Thanks for watching!
Let the chips fly!!
