Inflation hits people a lot harder than a crashing stock or housing market as it directly affects people's cost of living that people immediately feel the impact of. It's not surprising negative market sentiment is so high now. We really need help to survive in this Economy.
I think I could really use more guidance to navigate the market, it is completely overwhelming, I've liquidated most of my assets and I could really use some advice on what best to invest into.
Your best option if you are unfamiliar with the markets is to seek advice or help from a consultant or investing coach. I know it sounds simple or generic, but talking to a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 65% since January. For me, it's the best method to enter the market right now.

@@gen_z_hippichikk When I was a little kid, I was trying to see if rabbits laid eggs. Then the colorful plastic eggs with money in them pitted kids and siblings against one another. The old divide and rule/conquer came out of the old countries.
Some food items have gone up 50% or more and have become something that no longer is affordable for many families. Meals out have become unaffordable for seniors and large families and this includes fast food and beverage takeout. Everything has gone up in price in the last 3 years, Large corporations show huge profits, now, stock market is being manipulated daily. This is exactly what happened in 1929, 1989, 2008. This time when the bubble bursts, the big corporations and stock market will take most of the hit. Every generation has to relearn this.

It has been true for several years now -- people food is cheaper than pet food. Fake bacon treats for dogs are 4 or 5 times the price of real bacon, for example. And even the cheapest options for canned pet food is twice as expensive as giving your furry friends real food that you cook and prepare yourself. Homemade pet food and treats used to be a cute novelty option, but is now the financially smart thing to do. So buy some eggs, liver, beef, pork, oatmeal, lard, etc and make your own pet food -- and your pets can eat the same food as the rest of your family -- all while saving money. :)

In 2019, a filled grocery cart that fed my family of 4 for about 2 weeks was consistently between $200.00 and $250.00. Today, the same filled cart to feed us all for about 2 weeks is $400.00 to $450.00. When it comes to groceries, the stated 15% or 20% or 30% increase is NOT what I've been experiencing here in the pacific NW for the last 3 years. Here, groceries have quite literally been DOUBLE what I paid compared to 2019 and earlier.
That because you are buying all the convenient ready made factory junk .. cook from scratch & say no to factories & convenience

I remember going to Stew Leonard's when I lived in fairfield connecticut.
If people knew how much meat and produce is thrown out because it expires, would be appalled. Many of these things could be frozen or preserved but are instead tossed because the grocery stores do not want prices to crash. So when you complain about apples me 2 a piece, you're not paying 2 for that apple, you're paying for all the apples that wont sell and they must toss.
Well that sucks, I use Cocoa as medicine. I buy it by the KG.

Mostly, producers get blamed for higher prices, but RETAILERS are the ones jacking up prices at far greater rates. If the Retailer has to pay 6 percent more, they push their prices up 26 percent or more !!!
AND -- prices of already finished and paid-for goods already on store shelves and in distribution centers get their prices jacked up immediately, too. Most of those products were paid for weeks or months ago, but they get their prices jacked up immediately.
Foreign investment and acquisition of limited assets controls inflation.
It makes it so certain jobs become unviable to support family.
Every year that bullied country and others around become more dependent on closed nations for production on those types of jobs because their own people can afford to live in their place doing it.
