YES
And on today's episode, he'll be taking a look at *game name* weapons
He’s great.
I am also here because of Johnathan Ferguson, keeper of firearms and artillery at the Royal Armories Museum in the UK, home to thousands of iconic weapons throughout history.
@@erikasan3299 Right. Over to Johnathon.
Love that the legal expert has a whole rack of lightsabers behind him.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! 😆
I was like am i really seeing this. Also if i need a legal expert this is who i will call.
Can't decide if you're going to jail or not if your lawyer has lightsabers.
Probably going to try the old "This is not the defendant you're looking for" defense.
First thing that caught my eye!
was gonna say the same thing, id hire him just on that
The scales of justice, right next to the lightsabers. Love it. Lawyer by day, Jedi by night.
I definitely got the vibe of Grievous instead. Lawyer by Day. Sith wannabe by night.
Jedi by Knight.
He's a lawyer, definitely not a Jedi but a Sith.
Q.J. "Grievous" Sheelal esquire, attorney at law
I think they call that a Jedi Consular.
Love to see the man, the myth, the legend, the King Jonathan Ferguson the keeper of firearms and artillery at the royal armouries museum in the UK which houses a collection of thousands of iconic weapons from throughout history
At this point, that's just his full name.
Millions now
not going to lie, "Keeper of firearms and artillery" is got to be the one of the best title there is
The tie to his dog goes a little further than what was stated. The dog was a gift from his wife, delivered right after her funeral.
Also, from the beginning of 3 on, it's self defense. We do see him repeatedly give people an option to not try to kill him.
Additionally, it's implied that the world of the assassins is in fact integrated into every aspect of John's world. They may in fact be untouchable by the law, or have infiltrated the establishment so much that the legal system is theirs to control.
I mean, the cop that comes to John's house
"You working again, John?" He clearly is in the know
The Continental has a deal with the NYPD that business is not to be investigated for the benefit of all parties involved
The High Table is run by the most powerful crime lords in the world. Even in real life those people have government ties to keep them out of trouble. I'm sure in the series they have stuff in place to prevent any sort of legal interference in most places.
Always a pleasure to see Johnathon apply his "this is silly, but you know what? It's cool, so it gets a pass. But it's still kinda silly..." approach.
Leaving the theater after the first John Wick, one of the first things I said to my wife was “you know what was weirdly one of my favorite parts?… he reloads” haha
I'd like to see an ER physician do an Honest Action review of how many injuries he'd suffer including how many lethal injuries.
That's kind of already a thing. Doctor ER did a video reacting to John Wick fight injuries.
@@MiosPanties Do you have a link to the video?
@@nicholasmaude6906 Dude, just type "Doctor ER John Wick" into the youtube search bar and it's literally the first search result. Stop asking to be spoon fed and do some leg work for yourself...
13:48 "The John Wick style of handling difficult emotions" OK that's it, that's the best sentence I've heard this month. It pretty much sums up the whole saga to be honest!
...I could actually see Mr Wick, after completing his vendetta and getting his "victory"...just going to a jail cell. He'd see the NSA strike team (because no way would it be just PD at that point) set down his guns, and let himself be taken into custody. By the end he's just battered, tired and completely worn and done. Spend the rest of his life in a quiet Max-Security facility, just reading, taking up hobbies and resting and maybe playing with the occasional dog or puppy until he meets the long dark? He'd befriend the guards, the Warden, and be an inoffensive and polite model prisoner. His war is done, after all.
Firearms, Lawyer, & Psychology Experts sounds like the setup for a bad joke "Firearms, Lawyer, & Psychology Experts walk into a bar"
7:50 fun fact based on Vigo's statement from the first John Wick movie: *"The bodies he buried that day laid the foundation of what we are now"* with that statement John is a kin to a founding member
The 4th movie really opens that plot up. Even Winston says "goodbye my son" after be buries john.
Officer Jimmy makes the smartest decision of all." I ll leave you be then."
I thought Jonathan would've suggested John bring an "emotional support HK MP-5" to the fight.
It also seemed to me that the longer barrelled AR-15 variant wasn't ideal for the close quarters "gun-fu" shown in the scene.
If John had an emotional support MP5 it would have been a gift from his late wife that then got destroyed at the start of the movie
I agree with you - if we think that Wick was prepared for THAT close quarters of a fight.
I think that he, being an expert assassin and also knowing that he was not-so-slightly above the cut, would've picked a weapon for his preferred fighting ranges, but a weapon that would also not fail him at less than desirable ranges.
"Hope for the best, expect the worst" and that kinda stuff.
My two favorite Johns in the same video
I appreciate the comment about hearing protection.
About the home defence:
"Aren't you gonna call the police?"
"Why? No one know you are here"
Narrator: “Bailiff, arrest that man…..Bailiff?”
Bailiff: “No thanks. I choose life.”
Props to the lawyer for the lightsaber collection!
I need Library books...lots of library books
Another benefit of using the Glock 34 and Glock 26 is the Glock 34 magazines will work in the Glock 26. This means your spare magazines will function in both guns.
In one of the old Firearms videos I commented on how they should get Jonathan to react to films too, specifically thinking about John Wick and that scene from the second film with Peter Serafinowicz. Looks like I got exactly what I wanted!
Glad you did… he good, is there any more of his work on UA-cam?
@@rielo9725 - my dude, you're in for a treat then - the Gamespot UA-cam Channel has him reacting to all sorts of firearms in video games. He also does videos for the Royal Armory youtube channel
@@rielo9725 He is in a bunch of Forgotten weapons videos.
I was impressed with the grappling scenes. The choreographers knew their stuff.
Techniques from Judo, Jiu-Jutsu, Aikido... Exchanging punches invariably goes to ground. Once you grab hold...
Omg what I'd watch to have Jonathan Ferguson be the next sommelier...
Did anyone else notice the collection lightsabers the lower has hanging on the wall of the lawyers office? My respect for this guy just went up. My the force be with you.
Minor correction: Iosef was the son of the Big Bad mob boss. While he was definitely a punkass wannabe, he was not a 'low level mob goon.'
Considering John was able to eliminate Iosef, Viggo, and dozens of their men without consequences of any kind from the High Table, I'd say "low-level" is an accurate description.
@@obviouspseudonym9345But it's John Wick, I don't think that counts lol
In the context of the John Wick universe, he was a nobody who pissed the wrong person off.
@@obviouspseudonym9345 If I remember correctly, they were trying to get a seat at the high table, so the fact John Wick killed them means nothing to the High Table. If anything, John Wick only proved they were not worthy of a seat at the High Table.
@@TheOmegaRiddler No where in any film is it mentioned that Viggo had any plans or aspirations to gain the seat at the High Table. Viggo and Abram's operations were likely just a distant offshoot given the blessing of the Ruska Roma (think of it like a small colony). After killing Iosef, Viggo, and getting his car back, John went back into retirement with no worries whatsoever about repercussions from the High Table. Only thing that brought him back was the Marker held by Santino.
Really didn't like how the Sommelier hears "Robust...precise" and has to think for a minute before recommending the second most common firearm in the world 😂
It boils down to the fact that guns and Sommeliers are antithetical concepts. What makes guns such an effective weapon is that (1) they can easily be mass produced and (2) require very less training to be deadly (although there are levels of proficiency, gun safety, etc.) compared to say a sword.
Revenge isn't supposed to give peace. Its more like a "if I'm gonna suffer, then so are you. I may or may not feel better, but that doesn't matter"
The Keltec KSG has the ability to alternate loading from each magazine tube when you have the selector in the middle position I believe. Combine that with firing mini shells, and you can go through a surprising number of rounds before needing to reload.
2 tubes which can fit 7 shells, that's a lot of lead in store.
it's jonothan fergeson keeper of firearms and artillery
This is a pretty all-star cast for analysis
Why do insane ruthless killers bother to have so many rules? It brings to mind a favorite Doctor Who quote.
Madame Kovarian tries to dismiss concern about angering the Doctor. (“The anger of a good man is not a problem. Good men have too many rules.”) The Doctor corrects her in his reply. (“Good men don't need rules. Today is not the day to find out why I have so many.”) The High Table society has a similar issue; when your group members are all self-interested and morally dubious, you need a comprehensive set of strict guidelines to keep from tearing your collective apart.

"There's no way he doesn't end up behind bars"
Brother a man with his skills and connections, if hed use them in service of the state, would most definitely get a deal.
Should have gotten a pro driver, hospitality manager and for goof measure a dog trainer.
I always wanted to know if someone like Caine could exist in real life, a blind assassin who's extremly skilled and go toe to toe with someone like Wick.
I'm sure it could be doable. The human brain is good - really good in fact - at adapting to disability, and Caine is shown to be very alert of hearing and at times even echolocates.
He is with the Force, the Force is with him.
Only in the comics, my friend.
The are a few examples of blind martial arts even wing chun has drill where you practice sticky hands blind folded
No. Only in the movies.
I think an assassin really isn't worried about the legality of what he does
I love comparing the backgrounds for the 3 experts. What is behind them? Lawyer? Scales of Justice. Psychologist? Plant. Jonathan? Dozens of rifles and machine guns, a couple rocket launchers and a ROTARY GRENADE LAUNCHER. He just had to flex.
I love how if you look at the wall behind the lawyer he has a display for light saber hilts!
1:43 yo does the lawyer have lightsabers?
I mean, honestly, he could claim self-defense against the bad guys that just kept on coming at him
If you're going to kill somebody, use a book...got it, heading to the library tomorrow.
I wish they had a doctor to explain how much CTE Wick has.
1:47 wow, he has an entire wall of lightsabers. now thats an attorney
Unfortunately they are all sith originated 😂😂😂
Jonathan Ferguson is the best.
There is ZERO chance that Jonathan Ferguson mentioned the Uzis on that rack without also pointing out the MP5s right next to them. Why cut his favorite SMG?
Random recommendation that did not disappoint
I see Jonathan Ferguson, Keeper of Firearms and Artillery at Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, UK...
I click like.
The ultimate genre mix
I saw Jonathan Ferguson on the thumbnail, so I clicked the on the video.
The benefits of the shotgun are well documented (or should I say "highlighted") in the fourth movie.
With the topic of John wick being slower in gunfights in the first movie, lets not forget he'd be retired for years at this point...This is him rusty
The science of revenge... Dope phrase
The horse was in chapter 3, guys.
The biggest problem is the very premise of the first moving into the second film. Why would the High Table EVER allow a marker or ANYTHING ELSE to be used AGAINST THEM?!🤦🤦 The FIRST rule of being the big bosses is 'make sure no one is allowed to harm you for any reason'...🤦
granted i do think it’s true that they shouldn’t have a rule that could potentially go against them, i do think that if they tack on some more details in their rules then there will be possible ways to exploit the rules against them anyway, so keep it simple can be a good approach i guess
@@XDD50Hz I get what you're saying, but having a 'Rule 1: No action must be taken against any member of the High Table' wouldn't complicate things, and can't really be used against them.
@@MichaelBerthelsen then it would also go against other rules, say the duel in the 4th movie, since duel is there to settle differences between some, volatile parties who potentially could also be a part of the high table. it wouldn’t be a smart thing if you have two rules directly contradicting each other would it
@@XDD50Hz Haven't seen the 4th yet, so not sure what that scene involves, but honestly I'd argue that the rules only apply to those NOT at the High Table anyway.🤷😅 So if a person of the High Table challenges a duel, then that is their prerogative, but someone NOT of the High Table could try, but if not accepted, attempting anything would be against the rules. In other words, a duel would still require consent from someone at the High Table, which they can do, being above the rules.
@@MichaelBerthelsen not that im against the “don’t target high table” approach when setting up the rules, i just think that it’s already an ordeal to establish a “perfect” law in relatively stable societies, it would be even more difficult for an organization this volatile.
I love me some Jonathan Ferguson the keeper of firearms and artillery at the royal armouries museum in the UK.
If you watch the movie, the dog was the last gift from his wife
14:30 I've seen the police call a skateboard a "deadly weapon" before, so yeah.....
While I too came for Jonathan Ferguson keeper of firearms & artillery at royal armories museum. But I thoroughly enjoyed the other two experts insight
What about his survivability?
Yeah what's a doctor got to say about him falling off all those roofs
John Wick with stationery is more dangerous than a group of men with assault rifles
This video is literally watching Oppenheimer and Barbie in split screen cinema
6:46 lawyer has a collection of lightsabers on a wall rack. Confirmed Jedi Knight or Sith.
John wick is just the mortal version of Kratos⚔
Welp, so now we can expect another library fight :)
Jonathan Ferguson crossover episode!?
I ain't gonna to spoil the fourth movie but he finds peace
Good, he deserves peace :)
Self Defense expert is wrong the moment he starts speaking. John Wick lived in NJ, which is a duty to retreat state, not stand your ground. Even with castle doctrine, he had a durty to retreat, before engaging with the 12 intruders... "legally speaking."
If revenge doesn't make you feel better, you're doing it wrong.
4:31 how do you heal, find inner peace/let go and move on? i'm stuck (i would very much like that person that hurt me to know what they did and for them to be equally hurt somehow, i know they can't fit me and put me back together but i'm just horribly stuck in that state of unresolvedness)
The idea is more or less that eventually, whether or not you want to, you adjust to life without whatever it was that you lost and not obsess with hurting whoever it was that took it from you (you might still think about it, but it can't effectively remain your purpose for continuing to exist while keeping you a functional human). The unresolvedness eventually dulls and fades away on its own if you do something else but remains if you continue to obsess over it.
It's not really an answer, and frankly I can't give one. It ultimately boils down to "You'll forget about it, unless you actively choose not to."
The best answer if your financial situation and such allow for it is to figure out how to find a clinician that specializes in the problem you have. For example, the specific kind of trauma you went through.
In the absence of that I'd suggest taking the time to educate yourself on trauma and also working out how to figure out what info is good and whats bunk or too speculative. Find good expert opinions from reputed and well respected sources, and look for evidence based methods.
Also read up on people who've gone through the kinds of things you've gone through. That helps a lot.
Just don't fixate on it, and always return to the basics like taking care of your sleep patterns, eating well, having structure and routine, etc. I had a friend who got stuck in their head trying to process their trauma and pushing themselves to and they'd get stuck in cycles of getting really upset. Doing basic things helped their recovery a lot
Dr. Drea... am I right? good lord!
14:32
Shhh
Desantis may hear you..
I'd also like to hear a medical doctor's opinion of how likely it is that JW was still alive after the first fight.
And the reactions from special-forces people, the kind who know how to do gunfights, and let them point out how many times they would have killed JW if they were the bad guys. I mean; JW stands in the middle of the room reloading his weapon while he can already hear the next batch of badguys coming. Surely they would have heard the gunshots, they'd know that JW was close, would a trained assassin even think about just running into the room?
it wounds more like a flashbang/handgrenade type of scenario, ammiright?
What I'm saying is; the only thing that they got right in this movie is how the guns work and how they should be handled. Everything else is completely wrong.
Let's face it tho every action movie gets it all wrong because they have to
Do not forget. John Wick loves his car. Viggo's son killed one loved one and 'kidnapped' another. After the death of his wife, the love of his life.
Lawyer: some interesting info with a lot of cool niche knowledge.
Arms expert: very precise, almost clinical analysis of each weapon used and its effects.
Psychologist: shallow trivia you would find reading your horoscope or a tabloid.
13:20 Abusing his dog to death??? 😅🤣😂😂
Are those lightsabers on the lawyer’s wall?
Na man you can't defend yourself when someone comes in your home trying to hurt you if you live in California, NY or Chicago because then you go to prison :)
i guess it's time to get a library card.
Jonathan Ferguson
No more to be said.
You could make a hilarious movie about a movie action hero on trial.
not committed by john wick but the drone flying through a tunnel is a crime against physics and logic
I clicked because of Jonathan Ferguson.
Johnathan Ferguson is my new fave person.
I cannot believe what I am watching
Johnathan Ferguson is carrying so many channels on UA-cam these days. I'll watch anything he's in.
I am really curious about the bullet proof suits. Is that a real thing and would it depend on the caliber of ammo and how close one is when is shot.
Is he really a contract killer? Only one of his numerous kills over all 4 movies was contracted.
Yes, or at least he was because he’s a *former* hitman. The difference between the one contract kill and the rest is that the majority of his kills are either his own choice or in self defense from people targeting HIM.
@@cxnnibal-qveen73 Tha'ts my point, he doesn't get contracts, he IS the contract now.
Yes everything John does in the movies is illegal, but who's gonna arrest him? You?
It will be all chaos and havoc by the end of this decade.
It's a triple threat episode.
Well if it isnt my favorite gamespot firearms expert. No enotional support STG however.
What about the crimes of the High Table?
7:20 I don’t think this guy knows what a corrupt government is😂
well there is a way he "walks free" expect he won't rly walk away but be who he is, just for goverment
i thought she was gonna say, "hi my name is dr. dre."
you guys maybe should do ex hitman too john alite to react john wick would be great
01:43 How much do you think Doug Ridley spent on Star Wars Replica light sabers? $2000?
You guys know that he trained for this, right?☠️
Who? The character or the actor?
Give me those lightsabers!
