Hello i've been watching your vids and shorts for around 7 months now But now i need a new keyboard So pls What can you recomment for a pc gamer with a 500 dollars budget and thx
There's only really so many videos you can make for keyboards, eventually you end up becoming a glorified review channel unless you delve into gimmick type videos. Viewers also can only stomach so many keyboard vids before it all becomes kinda samey: here's the hot new custom mech keyboard with a metal chassis, trendy PBT keycaps, trendy switches, the same types of case dampening material, etc.
Aww my first hot swappable keyboard! The little added screen is a bit wonky at times, but I love my Silent Sea Salt Switches. Quiet, with just the right amount of bump. I have the brown color scheme, so I switched out the keys for little cat with coffee themed keys and not only is it smooth, it looks CUTE.
I bought a $200 keyboard earlier this year and god I wish I had found your channel when making that decision. It’s a good keyboard and I love it and I’ll use it for years but I had no idea of all the options there actually are
I’m currently working on building my first custom keyboard with a royal kludge r75 and putting on some different key caps and you and hipyo tech are my biggest inspiration.
Hey Betty. Any reason you guys haven't uploaded in quite a while? Completely understand if that's personal information. Just hope everything is okay! Look forward to seeing more content from you in the future :)
They got a kid on the way. So Im sure yt is gonna be on the back burner a year or so since they probably went back to private sector work. Got to get that good insurance. Im sure they’ll be back once all is stabilized.
Seems like in an effort to make budget boards look more high end with as much bells and whistles they can cramp in, it kinda makes them look more tacky than their price point suggested sadly, either way, good time to go back to the basics and tone down on the added functionality
Good morning Betty! Your keyboard list is the best. I'm new to the Keeb community but I've already run out of desk/room space for all my keeb stuff lol I see why everyone has shelves for them now
one day, u'll find out that u've run out of shelf space so the only option is to work hard, start up a company so that you'll be able to have a reason to rent an office space to have more shelves for your keyboards. #truestory Welcome to the rabbit hole of keyboards.
I own a different Epomaker gasket mounted keyboard and I can confirm, the only way you can tell that it has this feature is if you open up the keyboard and look at it. The plate is incredibly stiff and there's no bounce at all. If you press real hard there is a little flex but don't expect much from this feature.
It's not that I don't want an LCD. Rather, the LCDs I've seen are way too small. Check out the classic HP calculators (12C, 15C etc) which are STILL popular 20+ years later, to see what a "good" setup is. Then imagine an LCD that covered the width of a 60% keyboard. Heck, make it a touch screen and you could re-implement Apple's touch style function keys of a few years back. If you wanted. Or use your keyboard as a standalone text editor, calculator, dumb terminal / KVM.
Stupid question maybe. I wanna save my son from my old K800 keyboard but he like the feel of it. So when I can afford it I will get a 65% or TKAL. What switches would you say is close to this specs? Key Switches Scissor Feel Tactile Operating Force 65 gf Actuation Force 30 gf Pre-Travel 2.2 mm Total Travel 3.2 mm Noise. dead silent (Don't have to be completely silent but ... tinnitus saving kinda
Always look forward to another Switch and Click Video! Was thinking of getting the grey as a present for someone but it's a little darker than I thought so may get a different colors if I don't build out a M5 for them instead.
Is there a better option in this price range, with a numpad? Because, even being 4 starts, there aren't really many options at an affordable price. The others I can think of are from Keychron, but they get pricey.
Hello. I'm new to this custom keyboard. I found this VGN N75 pro keyboard and hoping that you can make a review on it because it's a budget keyboard and I heard that it already sounds really good out of the box. much appreciated.
Keyboard with num pad must have all num key caps properly labeled and address this con will stop corners cutting and would make this review perfect. Thank you.| PLS make a tutorial video what NUM key does?
Would you consider doing a video on a Tex keyboard? Tex Shinobi or Tex Shura? I’m new to the hobby and I can’t live without a TrackPoint. I’d love to see your thoughts.
got this keyboard, am pretty happy with it for when i feel like switching from between it and my tofu for variety. screen's cute and fun. got the light purple one and some pastel keycaps
Thanks for the review. Loving these 80s retro keyboards. But they're mostly going back towards TKL and full size though. Have you seen 8bitdo's take on it. And Kemove has a neat one too (the 1980, with easily removable and replaceable battery, which i;m sure they're prepping for the EU)
Dude. Mx switches are not "1980". Those are the model m, Leading edge dc2014, or any you know, board from the actual 80s. Mx are probably the worst of the 1980s keyboard designs (save a few). Switch designs like ALPS and such have the best feeling in the world. Smoother and actually tactile compared to mx designs
Great video and review, that little display should be on some type of ratchet so that you can change the angle ( just like you said). I like the look but a bit to0 loud for me. I would have to get the yellow switches, I guess. On Amazon Canada it is $180.00 CAD, a bit too expensive for me. Thanks for all the information you've given us, over the years. I have an Epomaker 85 key (Yellow Switch) and a RK TKL (Red Switch) over the past few years and love both of them...
Um, this is probably not a good place to ask but im building my first ever keyboard. I am using a Polycarbonate plate and decided not to use plate foam. When I put the PCB(tape mod and has 1 layer of PE foam) and the plate together and put back on the skirt(required to assemble the keyboard), the bottom row of the plate keeps getting pushed down by the skirt causing the switches to pop up. And even with plate foam, the plate still get pushed down(still only the bottom row) Pls someone that has experience help pls!!!
Hey, i have a challange for you! I have had an "Aula aegis mechanical keyboard" with blue switches for 3 years now. Can you mod a aula aegis keyboard? because when i tried it broke down and now it doesnt type anymore.
The idea behind the display is neat, but I just don't see it being usable at all, everything on it is just too small. At most, it should just be a 2x2 clock, six digit date, and the simple indicators, or a singular image/video that populates the full screen, nothing more. I feel like system monitoring is a bit redundant anyways, if you're keeping an eye on that you're likely to have a system monitor open anyways especially as the various monitors are supplemental to the various process tools, such as Task Manager's Process view; plus a variety of actually usable monitors wouldn't be displayable on this kind of display due to its size. Displays can be legitimately useful items if implemented properly, but this just seems like a novelty that isn't even angled correctly.
Can u make a review on the redragon k631 castor pro? It is very cheap at 50$, hotswap and doesnt sound that bad out of the box (it comes with custom redragon switches which arent outemue)
Hey, can you do a review of all the low-profile keyboards, before and after moding? I have been looking at the LoFree Flow, w/ ghost switches, but want to know what the difference would be between stock Nuphy Air 75 v2, Keychrone K3, Logitech G915 TKL as well as modded/lubed version. Also I saw that the package came with foam for the LoFree Flow and am wondering if you could incorporate that into the mods...
What are the best affordable switches to go with my Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60%. Bc im trying to make my keybaord sound better trying to decide thoigh wether i want creamy or thoky. But more leaning towards creamy for more asmr. Any sudgests for switches that sound really creamy but are affordable as well and work with this keyboard?
I really wish the mechanical keyboard market would offer more keyboards with a full size zero key on the numpad for those of us that work with numbers all day.
omg i missed this girl shes such a cutie patootie aaaaand i actually need new switches for my other keyboard cause those akko blacks are annoying to press
Love the look and sound of this keyboard. but the screen is a disappointment, Most of its functions like CPU and date/time resets when you go wireless mode. Plus the software is just attrocious. And its VERY flimsy. bump the screen the wrong way and its bye bye to that USB C connector.
Please make more videos. This is soo good ❤️. Ps is there any type of keyboard on the market that already has a creamy sound that one can buy or do we all need to customize the keyboard with example banana switches? All the best ❤️❤️
I`m curious what would you choose between Royal Kludge RK98 and HyperX Alloy Elite 2 as they come from the factory, no mods? I don`t plan to make changes to the keyboard, but for me RK sounds a bit better and HyperX looks better and the use will be both work and gaming.
Who ever decided that the original layout of a full size keyboard would have the numpad on the right side? Makes no sense at all... It get's in the way of your mouse forcing you to separate your arms so far apart that it's like you're about to give your desk a hug... I understand some people use the numpad more but why didn't anyone think to put it on the left hand side away from the mouse area. Wayyyy more ergonomic and out of the way. I get why people need them, maybe you're an accountant or own a business and need to use excel on the same keyboard you game on but imagine clicking away with your mouse and having your other hand soooo close to your mouse hand you could literally clap. The other option is every time you click on something you can take your hand off your mouse and type in a number quickly, but didn't the keyboard inventor realize that people have two hands most the time? Then switch to gaming and you're bashing your mouse off the keyboard non-stop because the numpad is on the wrong side... how long have computers been around ? We are just figuring out how stupid the original setup is now. Also why is / first function and ? second function... I feel like people use ? more than / am I wrong?????////??//? Don't even get me started on why the \ and | key below backspace is bigger, wouldn't it make more sense to have a bigger key for something you use more often? Ugh Qwerty is so odd. Also, the standard way to put your hands on the keyboard to type is A,S,D,F and J,K,L, then.... ; wait ... 1 out of 8 or the most important keys is the semi colon? Most people don't even know how to use that in a sentence. But alas, everyone is used to the layout now so no one wants to change it. I wish a company would come out with a totally different english layout that isn't qwerty at all. Anyways, rant over. Good video, sorry for getting sassy I'm just utterly baffled.
