  • This is my review on the new 2015 Suzuki SFV650, which is the newer model of the Gladius. They don't call it the Gladius anymore, but its basically the same bike. I give my opinions on how the bike feels, giving some acceleration on the streets and the freeways.
Also, be sure to check out the other bike reviews. Compare this bike to the Yamaha FZ-07 as they are in the same class.
Filmed on the GoPro Hero 3 White in 1080p 30fps with an external microphone.
Demo rides were located at Phoenix Bikefest in Glendale, Arizona.

Great review thank you. I'm in th process of deciding between these two bikes FZ-07 and sfv since I can't test ride any of them in great state of NY I got to make decision based on the reviews. I throw a leg over both and Sfv feels better. Thanks again.

Great review! I love my Gladius! I have a nice windshield on mine that gets rid of the wind issue. I'm in the process of getting the brakes upgraded, and after that I'd like to upgrade the suspension front and rear. Once I get that far, then I would look into a fueling remap and a pipe. Those three mods would turn this bike into quite a canyon beast, and it's already quite a city ripper without them. I've never felt I needed more power than what this bike has stock. The only thing that would really make me need more would be two-up riding and wanting harder acceleration once I get up into the triple digits, but those are two things that this bike isn't really all about anyways. One-up riding at less than triple-digit speeds it's got all a need. I much prefer this bike over the supersport 600s I've owned and ridden over the years.

It is a great bike for how simple it is.

+Motorcycle Extremist What windshield do you have on yours? I'm looking at buying one in June once I pass my test and would be useful to know :) IXIL hyperlow exhaust sounds good on them too, think I might have to get one of those too.

I've got this one. It really takes a lot of pressure off of your chest and head, of course depending on how tall you are things may be different. It does increase wind noise some, but I wear earplugs while riding anyways, so it's no big deal.

nice video, I'm a beginner motorcyclist, am small 166cm so which bike of this equation is right for me? I drive daily to work in the city and also the highway and sometimes during a weekend round of recreational so, which one? this or GSR600 or GSX R 600 or Kawa ER 6 N

Unlike FZ07, Gladius can not be equipped with a CENTER STAND. That's a deal breaker to me!

goldpilgrim Hmm, that is a bummer. However, the bike is a good ride...

goldpilgrim Whats the point of a center stand? Other than for maintenance.

Kirito I live in Brooklyn where criminally bad maintenance cost you an arm and a leg.

Haha so a stand is a deal breaker. you use the stand maybe 1% of the bikes useage

@@blackbird69xxx if you go coast to coast, you have to have a spare chain with you. the chain lasts 10-15K miles and you never know when it craps out. I replaced chains on the road twice and once a tire.
