If you put the berries in your pot with about a cup of water and just cook them for a few minutes to soften them up then pour them in the strainer and use your wood spoon you will not get any seeds in your jelly I've been doing this since I was 17 years old and I'm 71 today😊❤❤
Your girls are amazing!!! They just help and help all the time! That's so wonderful. They will always have some great memories and are learning great skills canning with you!!! I love your channel. You're teaching me so much
I use my juicer for tomatoes on my berries. I don't have the attachment for my kitchen aid. It works great--and my ladies in the coop love those scraps. Love watching your girls help--I miss those days. Enjoy every minute of it, it goes by quickly.
Your girls are learning all the things. I love this for them. It brings back so many memories of my mom, myself and all my brothers in the kitchen processing all our food. Question - I don’t have an attachment for my kitchen aid - would a hand mill get rid of the seeds ?
Beautiful jam!! Wish I had enough berries for jam. I have blackberries but not enough. I'm really hoping to go somewhere and get a bunch of peaches for jam and just canned or frozen!
Now that was quick thinking and so clever re: the food mill! Hate it broke, though! I need to look into getting one of those because I love blackberries but they have soooo many seeds. Well done on getting this challenge started with a bang! :) Looked into some reviews of the strainer attachment and it seems there were other people who had issues with using blackberries through it. That's so sad!
Wonderful and heart ❤️ felt canning activity for family 😀. Do you think that a food mill (used for tomatoes) can work?? Thank you and looking forward to watching and learning for this month. 🌞
You recently came across my recommends and I’ve been catching up while I’ve been canning. I think you’re inspiring, informative, and just plain impressive! I’m sure you’ve mentioned in a past video and I haven’t gotten to it yet, but how many jars do you think you put on your shelves each year?

Thank you, I'll try that next time!
Thank you so much💗 I have a question. In a recipe calling for a certain amount of cups- do you count the cups before or after deseeding?
That looks so delicious 😋 you have some beautiful helpers. Great job girls.❤
Thank you so much 🤗

I love having the opportunity to teach them! I think a handmill may actually work even better!
Renee ❤ your channel been here about ten days. New sub 😊❤ God send you many blessings for this years bounty 😊
Thanks for subbing!
Heating the berries a little might have made the job easier. /such a joy to see the girls working in the kitchen with you.
I think so too!

I'll be buying peaches too!
I heat my berries first, then put them through the strainer, I get a tone of juice then make jelly!
😊canning is fun!!
I'll try that next time, thanks for the tip!

My mom had a stainless steel, hand operated food mill. Rock solid, non-electric, reliable piece of equipment that worked for everything.
Yummy

Yes, absolutely!
Today was pickles for me
Hope they turned out great!
Try every so often putting a cop of liquid through to loosen the seeds..just switch dishes so it doesn't get in your berries.
Good tip!

I'd like to know that as well.😁
Thank you so much! I have never really kept track, but if I guessed I would say 4-500.
