New here! We are similar mommas trying to feed our families good food. I have 14 children so looks a bit bigger but great work momma! It’s been such a fun challenge we joined and love seeing all the families that have joined this year! New subscriber plan to binge watch while canning 😊
What a blessing to get a new food processor and food saver. How sweet your husband helps you❤ That is a lot of produce! You must have a huge garden. You are such a hard worker. I used to be when I was young. Now I don't can more than 20 jars a day. Pings are music to the ears. Everything looks beautiful. Blessings 😊
I am so, so happy I found you and your channel. You are a delight to listen to and watch! Where did you find your recipe for hot pepper mustard? Would you mind to share it, please? Thank you! May God bless you and your sweet family ❤
Just came across your channel. I just love how organized you are. I tried canning yesterday for the first time. I am afraid of pressure canning atm, so I made Peach Jam, Peach Pie Filling and Sliced Peaches in medium syrup. I was so nervous the entire day, but every lid popped and everything looks good. I will pray it taste as good. It was good when I tasted after cooking. I am from PA and wanted to thank you. You are someone I can follow along with. Have a blessed Sunday.
My 2nd video in and your a real fresh breath of air. It's lovely watching a channel I can connect with. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
Ohhh, I love that idea. I have never fried zucchini. I always shred or cube it. I’m going to pull some zucchini out and have it with supper. Thank you!
New subscriber. Looking forward to your channel and journey. God bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻 ❤️
We're in SW MO and just wanted to let you know we've been enjoying your videos of your garden and preserving things. Your family was very sweet to gift y'all such helpful kitchen items. Have a blessed day.
I just picked another 2-1/2 gallon bucket of green bean and shared 1/2 of them with my neighbor. And about too try cherry tomato jam, pickles, and hot dog relish mothers recipe. Mother and my aunt always did ex-large coolers full for hot dogs and salads. And chicken sandwich spread. And most of their pickle recipes they used brown sugar and white sugar.
The recipe for hot dog relish sounds interesting, do you have a recipe. I live in Australia and have never heard of this type of relish. I make a sweet mustard pickle out of chokos, which I don't think grow in the US or I have never heard of them, maybe you call them something else. My grandad was the king of pickles and sauces (and apple pie, so delicious) and made them every year and not one visitor left without a jar or two. He was famous for his pickles and I have been making them for some years now and gained a reputation of my own for my cooking.
I really enjoyed watching you and your husband cooking and preserving today. You did some recipes that I haven't seen before. Smoking the vegetables beforehand would make such a lovely salsa. I am not into really hot stuff but the heat can be regulated to your taste. The mustard was interesting, how was the flavour, it is interesting. Keep on what you are doing, I would love to have the garden you have and be able to do all these preserves but we live in a suburb of Newcastle, NSW, Australia and the land size allows for a garden for two or three but certainly not in the volume you have. It is winter here now, although it never snows here but does get down to the low figures in celsius of a night. Looking forward to the Spring and more heat. You are a breath of fresh air.
First time viewing you! You guys are so cute in the kitchen working together! I’m so sorry you were sick. I just got over something. Not fun! I have to get in the garden to get the cukes and tomatoes. We had drought here in PA and then TONS of rain then the hurricane came up the coast so all the tomatoes split ☹️.
My family helps like that too and too repay them I pass on canned goods, witch they love. I sure will be set-up better next year for garden harvests. This year was a spare green beans ,cherry tomatoes only, lettuce, radishes, and a 2nd set of beans and 6 butternut squash plants, potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
Good afternoon, I really did enjoy this video everything looks so delicious. I was looking at those fresh eggs on your counter wow if I was your neighbor, I would be purchasing some love yard eggs you all are a beautiful blessed family.🙏🏾❤️
Hello, your family is so sweet to send you those gifts! What a productive canning session you had. Nice to have family members who can help out! Oh i just love your dining table, just beautiful. I am so inspired by what you are doing that i have decided to make a move where i can actually have a bigger garden than just my balcony. Thank you so much for you and your family sharing this video. Have a lovely evening.
Watching you for the first time. Enjoyed seeing husband helping out. Just FYI, if you put a couple tablespoons of vinegar in your water bath canner you will not have that lime on your canning jars
i love vacuum sealing/freezing but it implies so much plastic for all the bags... which often are not reusable. i wonder if there's a more sustainable way?
At 14:28- blot peppers? What are these? Hard to decipher what you are saying. They look like green peppers that are yellow and red. You say they’re sweet. What exactly is the name? I’m interested in all sweet peppers as I don’t like green peppers.
you can make this in loaf pans and can be frozen: CHOCOLATE ORANGE ZUCCHINI CAKE Favorite Recipes of the Sutton Families & Friends Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups flour (unsifted) 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup cocoa 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 cup soft butter 2 cups sugar 3 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. grated orange rind 2 cups coarsely shredded zucchini 1/2 cup milk 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Recipe instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, cocoa, baking, powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside. With mixer beat together the butter and sugar until they are smoothly blended. Add the eggs; one at a time, beating well after each addition. With a spoon, stir in the vanilla, orange peel, and zucchini. Alternately stir dry ingredients and the milk into zucchini mixture, including the nuts as a last addition. Pour into a greased & floured 10 inch tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Turn out on wire rack to cool thoroughly. Drizzle glaze over top. Cut into thin slices to serve. GLAZE: Mix together 2 cups powdered sugar, 3 Tbsp. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla; beat until smooth. I like to replace a tablespoon of the milk with 1 Tbsp. orange juice.
Make sure you label the bags with a black sharpie before you bag them. I learned from experience that you will not remember what they are. I thought I was laying out meat for dinner. It was white chocolate macadamia cookies.. Dessert first.. !!
Did you try the mustard. Your face when you tried the salsa !!!!!!! So funny. You still don’t look totally well. I know you need to push through but try to take it easy. Have the girls help some

I didn't try the mustard as I don't like spicy, but my husband and a friend both said it's delicious!
your smile is infectious !! Thank You :) Glad you're feeling better, life likes to throw lemons :)
You guys did a great job! What was the sweet pepper you added to the smoked salsa?
So sweet, thank you!

Yes, I love sharing what I can!
you might try portioning out the squash into bags, freezing them and then sealing. That's what I have to do with eggplant. LOVE your channel
Thanks for the tip!

I was swooning over her table and I love her kitchen too!
Exactly!
My husband built my dining table, I absolutely love it! Good luck on your future gardens, I pray they will be abundant!
For not being up to normal. You and hubby did a great job. That was a lot of produce. I'm jealous. Glad your feeling better ❤
Thank you!!
How awesome is that! Well done!
Thank you!
neat to see you two working
More to come!
Amazing!! Love your video’s!!
Thank you so much!!
The flowers are BEAUTIFUL!
I think so too!
Glad to see you are starting to feel better! You got a lot done! I get the having babies and coughing thing haha!
🤣 it is such a pain!
Now that's what I call a massive charcuterie board! Lol!!
Mmm!
I recently heard that zucchini bread recipes account for the extra moisture in the zucchini,, and if you remove it, you will get dry zucchini bread.
I'll make a loaf and try it out, hopefully since the zucchini is frozen I won't have that issue.
Hi so many good ideas
Thank you! 😊
I'm intrigued by freezing the zucchini squash in a ziploc with the seasoned breading. Do you blanch the zucchini first or do you freeze it raw? thanks
I just freeze it raw!
Watching you for the first time. Enjoyed seeing husband helping out. Just FYI, if you put a couple tablespoons of vinegar in your water bath canner you will not have that lime on your canning jars
He is a great help when he has time! I do know that tip, I just seem to always forget.
i love vacuum sealing/freezing but it implies so much plastic for all the bags... which often are not reusable. i wonder if there's a more sustainable way?
I'm not sure, I feel OK with it because I am still using less resources than I would if I was driving to the store and buying prepacked food.
@@6Heartson6Acres that's absolutely true
I use those mild peppers for chili rellano, great in a burrito!!!
I plan to make burrito in a jar during this challenge, hopefully I'll have more peppers in time!
I’ve never tried patty pan squash. Do you eat the skin too? Is it just like zucchini
Yes, just like zucchini

They are blot peppers, seeds from Baker Creek.

Does anyone pressure can cabbage soup?
Hi from Mississippi.
Hi Carolyn, so glad you're here!
what kind of food processor do you have
It's a ninja, it works so well.
Make sure you label the bags with a black sharpie before you bag them. I learned from experience that you will not remember what they are. I thought I was laying out meat for dinner. It was white chocolate macadamia cookies.. Dessert first.. !!
🤣🤣 oh no! My sharpie ran out of ink, I actually picked another one up from Walmart today. I have some unlabeled mystery bags in my freezer as well!
Sorry had to leave due to the music. Lovely start
I tried something new, the rest of the videos in my channel don't have much music.
Did you try the mustard. Your face when you tried the salsa !!!!!!! So funny. You still don’t look totally well. I know you need to push through but try to take it easy. Have the girls help some
I did not, but my husband said it was great! I am such a wimp when it comes to hot stuff!
Hello get a paper towel put some oil and rub inside of your pot and it won’t over spill.
What?!?! I've never heard of that, will definitely try!
Hi, we really enjoyed your video and would like to know if you're considering a collaboration at this time.
Thank you Cassie. What kind of collab are you thinking?
Hi do you have other social networks where people can follow you as well?
I go by the same name on tik tok, facebook, and Instagram. I'm not active there yet, but I plan to be before too long.
