What a blessing to get a new food processor and food saver. How sweet your husband helps you❤ That is a lot of produce! You must have a huge garden. You are such a hard worker. I used to be when I was young. Now I don't can more than 20 jars a day. Pings are music to the ears. Everything looks beautiful. Blessings 😊

Just came across your channel. I just love how organized you are. I tried canning yesterday for the first time. I am afraid of pressure canning atm, so I made Peach Jam, Peach Pie Filling and Sliced Peaches in medium syrup. I was so nervous the entire day, but every lid popped and everything looks good. I will pray it taste as good. It was good when I tasted after cooking. I am from PA and wanted to thank you. You are someone I can follow along with. Have a blessed Sunday.

I just picked another 2-1/2 gallon bucket of green bean and shared 1/2 of them with my neighbor. And about too try cherry tomato jam, pickles, and hot dog relish mothers recipe. Mother and my aunt always did ex-large coolers full for hot dogs and salads. And chicken sandwich spread. And most of their pickle recipes they used brown sugar and white sugar.

The recipe for hot dog relish sounds interesting, do you have a recipe. I live in Australia and have never heard of this type of relish. I make a sweet mustard pickle out of chokos, which I don't think grow in the US or I have never heard of them, maybe you call them something else. My grandad was the king of pickles and sauces (and apple pie, so delicious) and made them every year and not one visitor left without a jar or two. He was famous for his pickles and I have been making them for some years now and gained a reputation of my own for my cooking.

I really enjoyed watching you and your husband cooking and preserving today. You did some recipes that I haven't seen before. Smoking the vegetables beforehand would make such a lovely salsa. I am not into really hot stuff but the heat can be regulated to your taste. The mustard was interesting, how was the flavour, it is interesting. Keep on what you are doing, I would love to have the garden you have and be able to do all these preserves but we live in a suburb of Newcastle, NSW, Australia and the land size allows for a garden for two or three but certainly not in the volume you have. It is winter here now, although it never snows here but does get down to the low figures in celsius of a night. Looking forward to the Spring and more heat. You are a breath of fresh air.

    At 14:28- blot peppers?
    What are these?
Hard to decipher what you are saying. They look like green peppers that are yellow and red.
You say they’re sweet. What exactly is the name?
I’m interested in all sweet peppers as I don’t like green peppers.

you can make this in loaf pans and can be frozen: CHOCOLATE ORANGE ZUCCHINI CAKE Favorite Recipes of the Sutton Families & Friends
    Ingredients:
    2 1/2 cups flour (unsifted)
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 cup cocoa
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 cup soft butter
    2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. grated orange rind
    2 cups coarsely shredded zucchini
    1/2 cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Recipe instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, cocoa, baking, powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside. With mixer beat together the butter and sugar until they are smoothly blended. Add the eggs; one at a time, beating well after each addition. With a spoon, stir in the vanilla, orange peel, and zucchini. Alternately stir dry ingredients and the milk into zucchini mixture, including the nuts as a last addition. Pour into a greased & floured 10 inch tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Turn out on wire rack to cool thoroughly. Drizzle glaze over top. Cut into thin slices to serve. GLAZE: Mix together 2 cups powdered sugar, 3 Tbsp. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla; beat until smooth. I like to replace a tablespoon of the milk with 1 Tbsp. orange juice.
