- Basically, the left and right movement keys are disabled here, but we have a stack of 9999 teleportation potions. Not an ideal way to play Terraria, but it could be interesting...

I think a timer would've helped us understand just how long it took to get anything useful. We _can_ rely on the number of teleport potions, but that's not as visceral.

You caused me to look up the definition, and the 5th one is the one that feels the most accurate to me: "Proceeding from emotion or instinct rather than from intellect; deeply emotional; 'a visceral reaction'"

Trying to battle WoF in this challenge would be a battle of extreme luck since you have to teleport close to the WoF and ALWAYS in hell since he just insta-kills you if you leave it.
Theoretically he could find a way to damage himself lightly to push himself away
Luckily it’s not expert mode or that would definitely be impossible

Well, after starting the fight he would definitely just not teleport. There has to be a way to just kill it before it kills you, eapecially since this is not expert mode.
Or just nuke it while he drags you with him.
Meteorite bars are a loot item for chests in the hell biome, usually exclusive to shadow chests. If a gold chest spawns low enough it can end up generating them. You have more patience than me to try this, good luck!
you can also get whem from the gold chests which are close to the underworld
but did you know meteorite bars can be found in chests just above the underworld
One thing you didnt mention is that meteorite bars can also generate in golden chests just above the underworld level
adding on to that, gold chests can actually contain meteorite bars if you're close enough to the underworld
Another fun fact is that you can find the drax in gold chests near the underworld
There's a type of ice block that will let you keep momentum , if you make a hell bridge... oh that would make it difficult actually. But if you could somehow, you could get hit by the wall and keep momentum the whole way
he could randomly teleport to hell, use the sand technique, die 1000 times to hell enemies, and repeat until he has a frozen slime bridge. thats not even considering killing king slime for the solidifier to craft the frozen slime, getting enough gel and ice for a bridge, and the fact that once in battle, if he gets knocked too far, the wof won't be killable anymore
...but nonetheless though, i do actually like that idea in theory.
@@FlareDrafox I mean, if it was the only way, that'd be better than trying to facetank WoF, right? Obviously there's probably other methods I can't think of right now, but it doesn't seem like there's a much easier way (other than zapinator cheese).

Frozen slime blocks could be a decent idea for arenas, they have no friction, so you can slide on them forever.
you can right click to grapple onto minecarts and move a little bit similar to chairs without pressing any movement keys, iirc it removes knockback and it's relatively fast
That’s kind of its own challenge though, the fun part here is using potions and knockback to get around
Unconventional movement is more interesting than simply banning wasd
But that defeats the challenge of moving only using teleportation potions...

Maybe the game doesn’t count blocks only partially filled with lava as lava blocks so they teleport you there
Pro tip: if you make it to hardmode, use explosive bullets, you can shoot them at your feet to scoot along the floor.
does it damage you too like most explosives

Wand of sparking has the calmest voice in the whole terraria youtubers.
This challenge absolutely makes even Classic mode brutal. But I always laugh at how pitifully trivial classic mode is outside of the most painful challenges. Definitely helps with challenges that would have been impossible otherwise. Or if not impossible, than challenges that would have just been brain numbingly tedious and unfun to do in expert.

I just had an interesting idea for a playthrough but i don't know how good it would be
You can only use items that don't match your world.
If your world has Tin, Iron, Tungsten, and Gold, you can only use stuff made of Copper, Lead, Silver, and Platinum. If your world is Corrupted, you can only use Crimson items. If the alters give you Cobalt, Orichalcum, and Adamantine, you can only use Palladium, Mythril, and Titanium.
I feel like this would be either really easy or really hard, is hard to tell.

What if it was just "you have to teleport potion every minute, and cannot teleport voluntarily besides that" instead?
I'm curious to see how this will turn out. I might end up doing this on my own at some point.

The reason you can fall into lava upon using a Teleportation Potion is because the code doesn't check for slopes.
One could say that's some sloppy code... I'll see myself out

I thought of a similar challenge in the past, only being able to move in one direction with multiple Worlds allowed. I'd thought that water buckets could do some work for cheesing movement, never thought about sand though, that's a good tip.
I think bombs might be useful for disabling dead man's chest traps, sticky bombs might be handy, a little late for this run but something to keep in mind if anyone else is trying.
Please give us the number of Teleportation Potions used afterwards.

after BoC/EoW, one can buy tons of bear, and shimmer it until sand, I like it, cuz it means that I can avoid destroying my deserts, but for u it'll be just easier i think.
The main problem will be finding tavernkeep i think.
Maybe you could use chairs to move around too, just place one, sit on it, place another one farther away, sit on it, etc

Would the Rod of Discord be considered allowed for this run? Because it seems like it will be necessary to dodge the moonlord deathray reliably. It would also help a lot for bossfights, and the whole playthrough in general.
Gungnir in his how tanky can you get video showed that u can tank the beam very well (u just would need a ton of grinding)
id love to see a tas of this that manipulates rng of both teleporting and mobs to help push you

Heyo, I got a idea for a Terraria challenge, for mr. wand or anyone.
You have to beat master mode with the "feral bite" debuff.
The feral bite debuff is gotten through bats or duke fishron in expert mode, but I imagine it could be applied infinitely through mods. It basically boosts your attack, but lowers life regen and applies certain additional debuffs randomly. Imagine fighting WoF, and you die because you got the confused buff.
Oh... just realized this buff appears to be removed from computer versions. Hopefully a mod exists to get it back, or someone seeing this will make a mod for this.
You should do Terraria but you can't place blocks, that would be interesting
Block swap with conveyor belts will be very useful
you could use a line of hoiks to move yourself (you enter the hoik with the sand method)
Good vid idea, start with sheild of chthulu and that's the only weapon u can use is the dash
well, stacking bunnies might not work anymore, but nothing's stopping you from making a row of bunnies. you just need to be careful with spacing

I used one of these early on in a hardcore run; it spawned me near the ocean, on a cave. I took one (1) step to the left and I instantly blew up via a dynamite trap. I will never forgive these potions.
Pro tip, you can use chairs to travel.

Consider frozen slime blocks. Once you start moving on them you don't lose your momentum.
there is a way to move sort of if you dont think jumping is movement you can hammer ice blocks into a diaganol shape and jump on them

i think the lava teleport at 4:00 happened because they were technically teleported on a sloped block, but low enough to touch the adjacent lava

This is my kind of challenge. Teleportation potions are my favorite
A way to make this challenge some what possible would be to be remove the mouvement restriction and every 30 seconds you have to teleport with the teleportation potion
I did something similar to this, though it was more what could happen and what can I do, than fighting bosses
That being said, if you stretch some limits (like how some actions in the game don't count as moving), no player imputs/no wasd only (Minecarts, reminiscent of the Minecart elevator in Minecraft, expensive though), and it also makes knockback viable
(Also for no wasd hooks shouldn't be allowd, otherwise itd be hooks only)
Overall, pretty easy and fun, unless you truly don't want to kove, in which case... Enemy knockback
you might be able to use conveyor belts as long as those are pre hardmode
You don't teleport, you just get so drunk you black out and wake up somewhere else

Classic mode might be the only way this challenge is possible, its a shame that he won't be able to get the spore sac because of that since it would have been a phenomenal accessory here. At least the Shiny Stone is still on the table.

You could probably use buckets of water to move too
you did end up using the magic mirror (who wouldn't) in this playthrough so I think you should have access to any form of teleportation (shell phone, pylons, teleporters, etc.)

Imo this challenge shoulda been approached on Journey Mode, to bypass the excruciating loot roulette a bit, and ensure you had ample supply of anything you needed for retries once you got the initial supply

Ok, I got a new challenge idea: A no-move challenge, but you can move using conveyor belts and the Mirrors/shells/cellphone/shellphone. Since it's a hard mode item, you can start with a full stack of them, but no more until hard mode, and you can also have a wire cutter before hardmode as well, if chat allows it.
How about digging a lot of sand, then dropping some on yourself? It knocks you back and you're still not pressing the movement keys

when you got the meteorite armor, but said you didnt have enough mana for space gun, the set bonus is it not using any mana
