Amen, I was an alcoholic, drug user and porn watcher. I finally gave up trying to quit on my own, and cried out to God, begging Him to give me the Holy Spirit. I told God if He doesn’t do something, nothing will change. I said I want the Holy Spirit bc I’ve failed so much and I KNOW I can’t do anything on my own. Well, yesterday I just celebrated 10 mo clean of it all bc God took over and gave me His Holy Spirit. When I got to the end of myself, God could finally work in my life🙏🏼
It took me 4 years as a Christian to stop watching porn, smoking weed, and drinking a bottle of wine a day. Now through the grace of God its just a thing of the past. But during those 3 battles, I remorsed every day, until God gave me the victory. It takes time people. And the battle doesn't end. Now with 10 years I'm trying to turn off any TV show that curses Jesus every episode. Trying to stop exaggerating to make myself look good. Trying to stop worrying and pray when I feel it coming on. The battle never ends but each victory brings us closer to holiness where more and more of His prescene is felt. And for those battling lustful or intrusive thoughts, you can't stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop a bird from building a nest on your head. You've got this, you've got a caring Father and He is the Gardner. He will prune you and trim you and kill all the weeds so that you can produce fruit that satan won't snatch away. A tree can take a hunted years to grow, and needs a root system embedded deep into the earth. If you grow too quickly the wind will blow you away. This is a long marathon not a race. No one skips the trials on their way to the throne of God and those who are first will be last.
I’m 15 I was struggling with the sin of lust but I was doing great for a few weeks then I fell into sin last night I watched Porn then felt guilt and repented I don’t ever want to do it again it’s just hard but I know god will never make something so hard to get out of for I love him and Jesus Christ is my lord and savior AMEN!!

This is not the truth look up what repent means... it's impossible to not sin over and over again were saved by grace and believing in Jesus not by following the law
If there is a SIN you keep falling back to over and over, that is a stronghold! You have to pray and fast, and seek the Lord with all your heart ask him for help he is here to help us all, and to deliver us from our afflictions and iniquities. God is good!
Yes. you can struggle in sin and ask for God for help. because he is our father. Christians need to understand struggling, and just sinning without trying to stop cuz “the blood saves me” is so hypocritical
Repentance is turning to God in faith knowing that you'll never turn from sin perfectly but trusting that Jesus is my perfect righteousness and only hope.
II Corinthians 7:1 NKJV [1] Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. John 17:20-23 NKJV [20] “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; [21] that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. [22] And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: [23] I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
@emilymccary04 It's actually not a laughing matter. How do interpret the scriptures I posted? The evidence of the fact that GOD will destroy all those who are not living perfect lives through JESUS CHRIST is overwhelming: Genesis 6:8-9 NKJV [8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. [9] This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. (Only Noah and his family were saved from the flood, GOD destroyed everyone else and I am sure there were lukewarm people which leads to what JESUS warned of in the next set of verses) Revelation 3:14-16 NKJV [14] “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: [15] “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. [16] So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
@PreparingYourSoul It certainly is NOT a laughing matter, because if what you're saying is true, then you are going to hell, and so am I. A hopeless theology, is what are believing my friend. Jesus Christ fulfilled, all requirements of obedience to the Law, so that in Him, we become the perfect righteousness of God. Please read Romans.
@user-ei6ci4cy2r It's not what I am saying, it's what the WORD of GOD is saying and I agree with. GOD's standard of living is perfection in JESUS CHRIST and He deserves that. When we are born again, we no longer live a life of sin. While we are not without sin, because it is in our flesh, we are commanded ro crucify the flesh daily, deny ourselves and obey the Law of GOD/CHRIST. What is your idea of who the bride of CHRIST is? A people who call themselves Christians but live in sin? No brother, it's a bride without spot and blemish, a holy priesthood, a living sacrifice pleasing to GOD in every way! I John 3:4-10 NKJV [4] Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. [5] And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. [6] Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. [7] Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. [8] He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. [9] Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. [10] In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. Don't be deceived, live perfect in JESUS CHRIST led by the Holy Spirit
A few years ago I confessed Jesus as Lord and saviour at a bible camp. Went to high school through the world, thinking I am just saved simply by believing the Lord our Christ. During Covid, I got real sick for a month, I got sick. Was out of work. One night my lips were blue and was cold, I thought I was going to die. I said Lord if it my time take me, and forgive me. Litterly a day after I was healed, I was on fire but it died quickly because I still did not understand. Went back to my ways. Drinking whisky everynight, smoking cigarettes, hanging out with not so encouraging folks. I was introduced to weed. I started smoking everynight, to the point I left work early to go get high with these guys. Fast forward a couple months I was getting tired of my surroundings. April of last year, my job offered an out of town position for the summer. Nobody took it, without hesitation I took it, knowing I needed to get away. I was getting healthier after a month, but was still getting high, and smoking cigs. My childhood friends took me to a Wednesday night church service through the summer about David. July 1st I made my own decision to follow Christ. I gave up everything was even wanting to get high, but my conviction said look it up. I watched a video, and went down a rabbithole that summer about how there are literal demons connected through us, and even through secular music. I got focused on demons more than Christ, but I was serious about him. I fast, prayed, put him first. I got prideful though "I got this" I thought. Soon I fell back into lust, but repented. Soon my old coworker came to the town I moved to. I woke up one morning having in my heart I wanted to smoke, sure enough got a text. Hey want to hang out, I fell. Got back up, another month a few friends came down for his birthday. They wanted to go to a club, I said no quite a few times, but started to second guess myself. I got super drunk and liked it. I got up for church the next morning. Little did I know how much this would affect me. I prayed in September I heard "you leave me, but I dont leave you" at the end of October I just did not care I got a pen, got high every night agian. I was in a deep depression through that winter. I kept ignoring, soon I just got angry at my job, bitter at those sent by the devil. Started going in a spiral. For just a couple weeks I went back to the Lord, I decided to move farther away. "Lets smoke some cigarettes on the way up there Friday, just this last time" of course I caved in went back into backsliding. Even then the spirit of the Lord was in the back of my mind reminding me why I was running from the truth. Went back a third time for 3 weeks, got discouraged by family, once agian went into backsliding. I started to get used to it, I was not feeling conviction. I said Lord make me tired of this, still was in my ways. Soon I started litterly not trusting anything around me, even closest to me, besides the truth that was revealed to me last year. Now, last week Saturday I went to my friends lake, and decided to get baptized there. I prayed Lord, meet me in the water. This past week I got my zeal back, I cut secular music out, threw my pc away. I cried, asked to cleanse my heart and create a new one. I gave to him my addictions, and by his grace he took them away. However I still lack, with reading, and fasting, I still find my distractions. Praying he will continue to take the scales off my eyes, and let me love what he loves, and hate what he hates. I know he alone is my refuge, my safety. He is my God, and I trust him. I learned to not rely on his presence, knowing I can never flee from his spirit, which he has proved to me. He is a good God, kind and merciful, slow to anger and abounded with love. I give him thanks that he preserved me whilst in my sin. He is concerned about us. If someone finds themself in a situation of back sliding feeling like they cant get out, I thought the same. He will make a pathway in the wilderness, and he will make stream of water flow through the wasteland. His love through our Lord Jesus is unmatchable. Amen🙏
@@blue-xk7gj >Grace is not a license to sin The grace given us in salvation allows us to sin without loosing salvation. You could say we have a license to sin without the repercussion of losing salvation. But it is not a license to sin that permits freedom from repercussions in this life, (chastisement, and suffering loss when the day will reveal it by fire) 1Co 3:11-17 KJV
I prayed like this before and the next day I had no desire to smoke... I smoked a pack a day 12 blunts and vaped daily You can't THE HOLY GHOST CAN WHOOOOOOOO GLORY TO GOD AMEN!
I find realizing that you want to sin. But desiring not to. Helps. If you’re truly honest be humble and ask God for a way out. I’ve been amazed by how my desires just left when I realized the urge creeping up and me begging God to help me be strong and not give in. Equip yourself with scriptures and remember his promises. “ his faithfulness will be your shield”
It's still repentance... we stumble every single day. Some times it takes a while. If we are struggling with an addiction I can have real repentance, even be clean for a week or two and still stumble again. I've been struggling with this for a while. I'm still on my knees praying every single day
@btctrader4lifeSee what you said there? Will "I" be successful at repenting? When it is GOD doing the worm in you? If you rely on your own strength, if you're not truly ready to repent, then the word means nothing to you because there is no faith. Jesus said in John, apart from me you can do nothing.
Real repentance is the power of God, through his Holy Spirit, granting you the grace to turn away from sin. My testimony is that I was addicted to porn. I couldn't stop watching it. I was a truly disturbed and disgusting individual. I won't make any excuse for myself, but, before I was even SAVED, God delivered me from pornography. In ONE night, I stopped doing it forever, after YEARS of trying. Almost 13 years of slavery, stopped in one night. And God can do that for anyone, for anything.
”But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,“ Titus 3:4-5 ESV ”I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.“ Psalm 119:11 ESV
Bro it crazy people just be forgetting wat Jesus did for us on the cross he died for are sin and once you believe in him you are washed off all sins and clean from unrighteousness. It's Sad that people don't know the truth may God guide them to the truth in Jesus name 🙏🙏 aman

Repentance (metanoia) is a change of mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ alone not of sins to be saved it’s only by his blood we are forgiven once and for all.
This is the truth! This guy is contradicting himself, it’s either trusting entirely in the Lord and that His death and resurrection was enough to cleanse us of Sin, or we can can chose to take it upon ourselves to please God… and I promise you with the second option you will always fail! Christ died for us as a free Gift, we do not need to please Him, He loves us like a father loves His son! With no conditions
@@ShawnRuth-pm6mo The way I understand it, we are saved through faith in Jesus; the belief that Jesus lived a life free from sin, died on the cross for our sins, effectively trading our sin for His righteousness, and was resurrected 3 days later. This is the fundamental belief of christianity, the backbone. We are saved by the grace of God through his son Jesus, for the Lord loved us so much that he sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins. So we gain salvation as a gift from the Lord, through the death of Jesus, which paid for our sins in full, and makes us appear holy in the eyes of the Lord; however, the bible also says that faith without works is dead. As christian’s we must take up our cross daily and try to walk the way He did. In doing so, we must make an effort to live a life free of sin, and break any sins we may be struggling with. Imagine how Jesus would feel if we say we are christian, and yet cozy up to the thing He died for. The Lord will forgive us of our sins, but it is hardly an excuse to continue sinning. We must not abuse His grace. In short, it is through our belief that Jesus died for us which saves us, but if we truly believe this, then we must turn away from sin. Pray to the Lord for help, if you fall into sin, pray again. Just make sure you do not willingly sin, feel bad, get up, and then willingly sin again. If I say “Lord forgive me of my sins, I have turned away from You through my abuse of alcohol (for example), and I repent of my sins. I know that all sin leads me away from You, and that it is only through the blood of Jesus, Your grace, that I may be forgiven, pardoned, and given the chance to enter heaven. Help me to break this sin and turn back to You, for You are my Shepard, and I am lost without You.”(this is my general outline for repentance.) Then you get up, and drink more, than you haven’t really turned away from the sin, right? Sow in your spiritual garden seeds of the Lord, not of the world. I hope this helped, normally people only have one perspective or the other, I believe both are correct, faith saves, but works “proves” it.
@@ShawnRuth-pm6mo Also, if you can’t tell what is sin and what isn’t, pray to the Lord to sharpen your ears and tune your heart to the frequency of the Lord. When I sin, I feel this deep feeling in my chest, almost like there is a spiritual hook pulling me to my spot of prayer. It’s hard to miss, but easy to ignore. Pro tip, don’t ignore it. In doing so you harden your heart just a tiny bit, and after many, many, many, (i'm talking so much that it will probably never happen to you) you will harden your heart completely, and commit the unforgivable sin. though, if you have convictions about whether or not you committed the unforgivable sin, you probably haven’t, because it is the Holy Spirit that leads us to conviction.
@@ShawnRuth-pm6mo Also note that faith is not a feeling, rather it is knowing. Some channels that help me on UA-cam are Imbeggar and Impact Video Ministries.
John 3:16. John 6:28-29. John 6:40. Repentance is just turning to Jesus. And Jesus will do all the rest. Just rest in his finished work. Hebrews 4. Enter into Jesus rest. Stay Awesome!
Yes. This is a dangerous message when people try to gate keep repentance. None of us know the heart therefore none of us can judge what is and isn’t “true” repentance. Although we know for a fact that someone can be repentant, in union with Christ, and still do what they hate due to weak flesh. To label that as “well you still do it because you’re not _truly_ repentant is presumptuous, cruel, and can even lead people to stop trying all together or delete themselves.
Yes! The Lord Jesus paid an extraordinary debt that He did not owe, all because we owed a debt that we could NEVER pay; this is the greatest love ever known to this selfish ass world, and I truly love Him for it!
John 3: The Word of God came unto John the Son of Zacharias in the wilderness and he came into all the country about Jordan preaching the baptism of Repentance for the remission of sins; As it is written in the book of Isaiah the Prophet, saying The Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be be brought low abd the crooked will be made straight and the rough ways shall be made smooth and all flesh shall be made smooth; and All flesh shall see the Salvation of God. Then said he to the Multitude that came forth to be baptized of him O generation of Vipers, who hath warned you of the Wrath to come? Bring forth Fruits worthy of Repentance and begin not to say within yourselves we Have Abraham as our Father: for I say unto you that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now is the Ax laid to the root of the Trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. And the people began to ask him, WHat shall we do then? He answered and said unto them, He that has two coats let him give to him that has none and he that has food let him do likewise. The came also to him publication's to be baptized and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And He said unto them, Take no more than thay which is appointed unto you and the Soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, and what shall we dol? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falslrry and be content with your wages. The Scriptures specifically show that John is telling them to turn away from their sin and to show forth good fruits toward their neighbor as required of YHWH ELOHIM ADONAI in the Law. He does NOT tell them to change their mind about believing in Christ because they didn't even at that moment know that Christ was the Messiah as they were even asking him if he was at the moment. Going about and seeking out definitions based on the language is causing you to err from the commands of the Word of God which in the Begging the word was with God and was God. I also suggest that read heavily tje Scripture quoted from Isaiah in this passage from Isaiah 40 to 66 because it contains all of what The Messiah is and commands which includes turning from your sins. Changing your mental opinions is nothing but the flesh of mam still trying to justify abd stay in his sin. It is the scripture itself that tells us what Repentance is defined as.
@@Donald_RayAmen. we cant do anything to owe him that. now we walk in faith in repentance. and go live with love like him. We habe to let our flesh die. it is a fight between flesh and spirit
We have to acknowledge that sin isn’t an act, it’s our identity. Repentance simply means to change your mind. Repentance is trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ, developing a relationship with Him and as we walk we learn to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. Repentance doesn’t mean to never sin again. Repentance is my acknowledgment that I need Jesus because I can’t do this for myself.
That's a nice lecture on repentance, it made me think of claiming to know God and repent and say a prayer but not having the mindfulness that God is aware of me and what I do. May God forgive us for our sins grant us what is best in this world grant us what is best in the next and save us from the hellfire.
amen. You cant fool God’s heart. Christians need to understand that yes, Jesus blood saves. But that doesn’t mean to take advantage of him and think a “sorry” then doing what unbelievers do will grant you a spot. Jesus cant give you his blood if you reject him. Jesus is willing to fight your battles. you have to let him do that tho. he is so good to us. Christians need to know God said believers will suffer a worse fate knowing the full extent of his grace and still go back to the vomit. That doesn’t mean u cant struggle in sin. you are most definitely saved. Struggling means, you are trying and have a repentant heart. doesn’t mean to take advantage of the blood and keep sinning because “the blood saves me” argument. The blood is power and it does clears hs from everything but God knows your heart. u cant fool him. its sad christians think they can.
We are all siners and fall short of the grace of God. You can try to live a clean pure life and turn from sin, but our lord and savior is what redeems us.
I needed to hear this I was able to overcome lust, drugs and video game addictions these past couple months with god, it was so much easier giving them to God than trying to do it myself with God, but I still am struggling with vaping, please pray for this sinner. Ily❤
@yes..77 I agree but disagree in the meaning of repentance just means to turn to Christ. Repentance is a changing of mind period. We repent all the time as believers we try to do good when we have the option to do bad. God himself repented in the old testament.
@@akilliezno, God never repented. A holy and perfect God cannot repent because he has no need to. Repentance demands a sinful being in order to be true. I agree in the sense that repentance is not overnight, nor is it an easy task. But, it’s full submission and yielding unto God. It’s falling into his grace and being transformed by the Blood Jesus shed in our place.
The ONLY reason believers argue about this topic is because they've never taken the time to study Biblical Repentance. True repentance involves the mind and heart - the Bible gives us plenty of examples. Also, there's obviously a clear difference between God repenting vs man repenting. If these truths were understood, there would be not more arguing about this. (new video on Biblical Repentance coming soon !!)
Only Christ was sinless, that's why we need His forgiveness and grace, Jesus blood is what cleanses us from All of our sin. It's not about me, it's All about Jesus and His death and Resurrection! This causes us to give Him all the glory, and honor due to Him and not brag about our good deeds. Even the Apostle Paul who lived to serve and witness every waking hour said he had not attained sinless perfection. This doesn't mean we deliberately sin, of course not, said Paul. Repentance means to turn the other way and to agree with God and His word, not mine. His way is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for your Salvation. Loving him should cause us to have the fruit of self control against sin. Please read Rom 7, Eph 2:8, Rom 10:13 Sanctification is growing in grace and letting Holy Spirit work in us to help us in our walk, but Salvation is through Christ alone. Read your Bible, especially New Testament if you're a new Christian. 🙏🏻 ❤ God bless

@@PreparingYourSouldo i sense biblical doctrine involving perfection (a sinless, holy life)? if so, then i’m in! 😄
@emilymccary04 It's actually not a laughing matter. How do interpret the scriptures I posted? The evidence of the fact that GOD will destroy all those who are not living perfect lives through JESUS CHRIST is overwhelming:
Genesis 6:8-9 NKJV
[8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. [9] This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. (Only Noah and his family were saved from the flood, GOD destroyed everyone else and I am sure there were lukewarm people which leads to what JESUS warned of in the next set of verses)
Revelation 3:14-16 NKJV
[14] “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: [15] “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I John 3:4-10 NKJV
[4] Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
Amen🙏
Amen! Tired of running back to the same sin day after day! Praying the Holy Spirit guides me to stray from these sins!
God's word says he put before you life and death.he even says choose life!
Grace is not a license to sin, but even if you could stop sinning, God wouldn't accept it. Only what Jesus did on the cross will save.
@@blue-xk7gj
>Grace is not a license to sin
The grace given us in salvation allows us to sin without loosing salvation. You could say we have a license to sin without the repercussion of losing salvation. But it is not a license to sin that permits freedom from repercussions in this life, (chastisement, and suffering loss when the day will reveal it by fire)
1Co 3:11-17 KJV
It takes time to change.. don't ever expect perfection the very next day...

thats why u give it to the lord. not do it yourself. Fight it. if u fail. faight again. God knows ur heart
I'm still on my knees praying every single day
Pray for me please
God says in his word he put before us life and death!..which one will you choose?
5 year's with 2 year's complete experience.
”But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,“
Titus 3:4-5 ESV
”I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.“
Psalm 119:11 ESV
Strong. Holy spirit gives not a spirit of fear but of love, strenght and a sound mind.
Paul says the things I want to do, I don't do and the things I don't want to do, I do. Sometimes it's a process.

@@calebtabert4013I'm so confused. "What must I do to be saved?"

Amen.

Repentance is a daily thing. Sometimes we please God sometimes we dont. Thank God for Jesus Christ.
No you got it wrong. Repentance means to change your mind to unbelief to bekief in Christ alone for salvation
If these truths were understood, there would be not more arguing about this.

repentance unto life amen...
I’m gonna walk in the Grace to never sin against God anymore.
Please read Rom 7, Eph 2:8, Rom 10:13
Sanctification is growing in grace and letting Holy Spirit work in us to help us in our walk, but Salvation is through Christ alone. Read your Bible, especially New Testament if you're a new Christian. 🙏🏻 ❤ God bless
