Funny thing...2002 is the year I quit my realtor job, basically stopped using any fragrance and moved to the mountains to homestead with my husband. Before that, I'd just pick up a body spray from Walmart and spritz it occasionally, the last one being White Diamonds Lustre. This is the year I got back into fragrance-after beginning to wear and review wigs in 2018 and hence, had to learn how to apply makeup properly for the camera and it seemed that fragrance was a logical extension of my rise back from being just "farm hand chic", LOL. For the first time this year, I truly began to learn about them, though at this time in my life, living on fixed income at almost 66 yrs old, I only purchase affordable ones under $25-30 so I have a lot of dupes and some samples of ones I can't/won't purchase due to the price (quality wigs are insanely expensive and don't last forever). Smelling a paper sample of Coco Mademoiselle is what started me trying to find a bottle of a CM dupe and it was all crazy from there, yikes! I was curious about Bora Bora, had taken it in and out of my cart, so a timely video. I'm not a huge fan of J'Adore and already have a very inexpensive dupe of that one, so your assessment helped me decide about it, thank you! ~Cynthia
That was fun! I have only smelled two of these, which I have and looove...Acqua e Zucchero and Gucci EDP. Heaven knows what I was wearing in 2002, probably whatever I had in the 90s.
You are bringing me back Tara! 😂 I did wear & love the Vera Wang fragrance. But my “signature scent” was the original Body by Victoria’s Secret. It was a your skin but better type scent that was an easy everyday grab. Back when VS had some decent perfumes. I was devastated when they reformulated and eventually discontinued it. I didn’t like JLo Glow either.
Aww i loved this video I graduated high school in 2004 and was in my mid teens when these were released of course I remember some of these like it was yesterday but didnt not wear any. Chance by Chanel was also released in 2002 i liked that for a hot minute 🥰
Hello Tara, it's like time travel listening to you talk about these fragrances. It's so disappointing when reformulations ruin a good fragrance. Thanks for the revisit video! - Jenn
Well, I wore nearly every Jlo fragrance 🤣. Currently have a bottle of Dior Addict original formulation: and the new version isn't as good to me. Aidan turned 20 in 2022, too! Great video, Tara. ❤️
Polo Blue! Probably the third blue fragrance that I remember wearing after Adidas Blue Challenge and Moves. Actually quite nice at the time, but it's been changed more than a bit since then. I know a few articles (and the all-mighty Google) say that it was released in 2003, but no, it was 2002. In fact, Nautica basically commandeered the 2002 Polo Blue TV ad for their Voyage campaign in 2006. Spot on with Lacoste Pour Homme! Ps, "Al - May - RACK" (Almairac). 🤫🤭 Cheers Tara!
I think the only one of these I got around this year was Ormonde Woman. I think 2002 was around the time I got in to niche. I bought a couple of Serge Lutens and a Malle soon after.
is someone having a 20th high school reunion this year.? congrats on Landmark 150 it's your party and you can paint your nails any color you want. LOL festive
Hmmm … Vetiver Extraordinaire is that old? To be honest: it probably is still one of the best fragrances by FM. I just checked and Bigarade Concentrée was also released that year which happens to be my first ever in store purchased niche fragrance. Another one from that year was Arber by The Body Shop (I was a huge fan of their range in my adolescence … and just realised that it lists mint 😂) as well as Kistna by the same brand. And off to the fragrance cabinet I go 😂 …
Hello Tara!I‘ve been watching your videos for a while. I really love the opening music, so exciting and uplifting, good choice👍🏻 Today I wanna say something else which is not so related to fragrances. It could be a suggestion or just my personal opinion: Have you ever considered to cut a hair banges to cover your forehead lines? I think this might be an easier, simpler and saver way to look younger. I noticed that they were disappeared and come back again. (Please forgive me for being frankness) 🌹🌹🌹
Did you wear any of these? What are your favorites from 2002? Let me know! Thanks for watching!!!
I love vetiver extraordinaire.
2002? I would have never guessed 2002. Welcome back, Tara.

What a fun idea for a video!!! 🥰🥰🥰Loved learning about these oldies but goodies!!! 2002 was a pretty solid time for fragrance!!!
I have Dior Addict in vintage and current ❤️❤️❤️I love this fragrance
Nice! I'm very jealous of that vintage bottle!
That was fun! I have only smelled two of these, which I have and looove...Acqua e Zucchero and Gucci EDP. Heaven knows what I was wearing in 2002, probably whatever I had in the 90s.
She’s really back. Yay!
Thanks!
@@Olfactofiles Fierce is a must try if you don’t know what it smells like.
Avignon by Comme des Garcons is my 2002 fragrance, that and Trumper Sandalwood Cologne are the only ones from that year that I own.

Definitely a trip back memory lane, isn't it?!
Your face when you mentioned JLo Glow was priceless! I miss Dior Addict when it was good! Nice to see you, Tara.
Lol! Thanks, Christie!
Great video ! I would love to see a video of the best of the 80’s and 90’s :)

I still love Fierce!!!❤❤❤
I loved Bora Bora. I had the lotion as well lol. My mom had Vera Wang. I always loved the shape of the bottle lol. Tfs!
Great video idea!
Great video Tara! What a walk down memory lane. What was your SOTD? Your look today you represent G&B Sunset Hour. So fresh pretty and flirty 🌅🍑🥝
Thanks! I wore Musc Des Sables today. Definitely not a fresh scent, though! 🤣
Always great to see a video release from you!
Thanks, Ryan!
I wish they would bring Sensi back.
Me too!

That's awesome! I didn't get into niche until around 2012, because I was a broke student before then... and still sort of after then as well. 🤣

Trussardi My Name is my replacement for Sensi ☺️

J Lo Glow literally smells like mosquito repellent.

Dior addict. Reformulation. Tragedy. There in ends the sermon lol 😆 😂
🤣🤣🤣 You're not wrong!
Reformulations… sigh. It kills great scents.
