    Agreed that the x fly 5 special edition is fantastic l, also tried it for the first time this year. Definitely best synthetic leather I've ever tried. Though I have to say I just picked up a pair of sokito devista vegans a few weeks ago for a steal and am very impressed with those. Also tried the alphas this year and agree that they are insane. Can't believe I held off so long before trying them!
    My personal boot of the year probably is still the f50 messi. Just a perfect blend of everything I want personally.

    I’m just surprised Nike being placed very low or directly is not in some tops ,considering they probably have the best selling boots in the market ,with awesome colors and having the boot that most of pros wear

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  7 днів тому +3

      So sales doesn't really equate to performance, that's simply about marketing. If sales = performance the marketplace would look very different.
      Similarly the boots that most pros wear, this is true, but I'm most cases pros are being paid to wear those boots, take the premier league for example, there's probably very very few prem players that don't have some kind of contract with a brand, they're being paid to wear the boots.
      None of that means that Nike don't have good boots, I gave both the GX2 and the Vapor 16 very very good reviews and recommend them to people, there are just boots for me that are currently better.

    Great Video as usual👑
    What do you suggest in terms of outsole to play on a FG wet (not muddy obv) pitch?
    I try to use the SG the less I can be cause I have problems with my knees and Back so I am looking for a FG outsole Who can give a Good balance on a wet pitch too…
    GX2? Predator? PumaUltra? Mizuno Morelia4 beta?
    Keep up with the great vids, cheers form italy mate ❤️🇮🇹⚽️

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  7 днів тому +1

      If you're having knee problems you probably still want to stick to something that isn't too aggressive so probably stay away from the Puma Ultra even though as an FG boot I think it's excellent for a lot of SG pitches.
      Something like the predator with a longer stud that isn't too aggressive might be a good shout.

      @Coco94117 7 днів тому

      @ thanks for the feedback, That’s what I meant.
      I am “scared” of something too aggressive, in fact I usually play with a Nike AG outsole on FG pitches (very hard grounds tho).
      But still I need “big” studs that can penetrate soft grounds and give stability

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  7 днів тому

      So personally I go TTS but that does leave a little room, but I have also tried half down and for me that's too tight, so it depends on your own foot shape really, a lot will go down half.

    Most of European football is played on soft ground, the SG boots are the first to sell out in all stores, how come there's almost no reviews for SG soleplates? I feel it's an untapped market, I know there's a lot of people who would watch them.

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  6 днів тому

      I think you're probably generalizing quite a lot there regarding most European football, most UK & Irish football for sure and that still doesn't always mean the SG sells out fastest, in most instances the FG will go first if it's an in demand boot, some of that is due to collectors etc, but it's still the most popular choice overall.
      Either way the reason that the SG doesn't get a review from most people is because the SG traction is going to be very similar across the board from most SG soleplates. The 6 SG studs are pretty uniform and provide a very similar traction, there wouldn't be much to breakdown and the differences to point out would be much more minimal than an FG boot. So, for a review the FG is simply more interesting with more to talk about. I do have a video on SG boots coming, but, I wouldn't expect SG boot reviews to become commonplace for any reviewers.

    • @seba247
      @seba247 6 днів тому

      @@BootWizard there's no league in Europe who uses FG from November until March. Even the warmer countries have rains in this period. Yes there's more variety in FG soleplates, I get it, they are more collectable, but if there are views on an AG review, I don't see why there wouldn't be on an SG review, there's plenty of good points to make on traction and stability and the responsiveness of the soleplate, if the studs hold their shape after use, if you can change them easily, then there's the changes made in the boot by applying a different soleplate (fg vs sg in the same model) like in the Mizuno Alpha there's no karvo insert in the SG boot, but the responsiveness comes from other tech and the actual fit is a bit different from the fg, the non-changeable SG studs vs the changeable ones, the extra plastic studs and how they help on different SG boots, how in Nike boots the SG soleplates have a lot more stability than FG, plenty of good videos to be made.

    • @BootWizard
      @BootWizard  6 днів тому

      @@seba247 I disagree, you're massively generalizing Europe, it's a big continent and rain does not = SG required. Yes there are plenty of places that do primarily use SG over the winter, but to say all is just not correct, and it's still not the most popular soleplate purchased or the option most searched out by people.
      I agree with you that there are some interesting discussion points on some SG soleplates, but, in most cases the more interesting and diverse conversations are going to be around the FG soleplates, they are more varied and provide the biggest performance distinctions from boot to boot. Traction across SG soleplates is very very similar and this is the main thing people are concerned with in a review.
      For your suggestions I do understand there might be information that a few people look for, however, things like how easy it is to change SG studs is not an interesting continued discussion point for the majority of people and a discussion around the longevity of SG studs across multiple boots would require such extensive testing of the boots that it becomes almost impossible to make simply for time.
      I'm not saying there's no videos to be made on SG boots and nothing interesting to be discussed, the Karvo vs non Karvo you mentioned for example is an interesting discussion point, and as I said above I have a video on SG soleplates coming soon. I'm saying that it will never be the primary review for a boot and especially for a person like me that pays for all their own boots, I simply can't justify the time or expense to review the FG AG & SG models and if the reviews that are primarily searched out are those for FG & AG boots (this is what the analytics say) then those are the reviews that I and many other reviewers will focus on because it's what the majority of people are looking for and in the majority of cases the SG is in most discernable ways the FG but with 6 metal studs added, the AG is a completely different offering.
      In short, if it made sense for me to review SG boots because it would allow me to make great content and it was something that was in demand then I would do it, it would make perfect sense for the channel, I want more views, however, everything I know about what people are looking for from me and what makes a great review from doing it for 6 years points me in the direction of not doing SG reviews regularly.
