    Found your channel a few weeks ago because I searched for fine curly hair. It's been so helpful. I'm still trying to figure out what works for me. I just got the Evolvh curly kit and love the products so far, except the leave in conditioner. I had been using Fructis curly lately and it's ok. My problem is like what described you had yrs ago, more wavy hair than curly. I had straight hair up until about 5 yrs ago. Now I'm trying to learn how to deal with thin fine wavy curly hair. I need help, but I find inspiration in your journey and will be patient. I also love your tips on finding products. Thank you so much

      Thanks! Don't have your heart set on a curl pattern. If it's wavy that's still curly, it doesn't have to get curlier. Just style it how you like and as you learn about your hair you'll figure out what it needs.

    Wow...great Giovanni results. I love the leave-in and gel. I want to pick up the shampoo and volumizing conditioner. I literally have the mouse/foam sitting on my desk to research ingredients. I bought it months ago, tried it but I couldn’t figure out the right routine for it...plus I was not reading all ingredients yet. Have you tried it? Last summer was the first time glycerin became a problem for me. I live on the opposite coast...it may not be as hot as Florida but SoCal can be very humid. I had some success with Kinky Curl Knot Today leave-in and Giovanni LA Hold gel, but not consistent. I have fine, high porosity, low density hair...like yours, but I had been reading advice from people who had more medium texture hair. For example, I used to DC prior to shampooing but stopped because so many people shampoo first. In reading your blog today about your DC process, I realized I used to get better results. Sigh... I’m 18 months into a curly routine and finally realizing what ingredients “might” work for me and finding people with similar hair. I’m so glad to have found your channel and blog. Everything just seems to be clicking...now I just need to adjust routines and test. Thank you for all your posts and videos! Now back to binge watching more of your videos 😀

    Ty for this! I have been struggling 😩 this summer with frizz & hold. Dew points in the 70's. Want to try Treluxe. When you use the Giovanni gel, do you apply it to soaking wet hair? I always get confused how to apply gels that are thicker like the Giovanni. Tia! Blessings!

    when would you use a curl cream versus a gel? ive been trying to figure this out.

    • @HolisticEnchilada
      @HolisticEnchilada  2 роки тому +1

      When you want more moisture and less hold. I would not ever style with a curl cream alone because it doesn't offer any hold. Typically you use it under something with more hold like a gel. But only if you need the extra moisture.

    Ok so is glycerin bad/ cause frizz in high humidity or what? I'm confused cause it's in so many curly hair products. My hair is porous with highlights type 2b2c.

    • @HolisticEnchilada
      @HolisticEnchilada  3 роки тому +1

      It's bad if the products doesn't also have anti humidity ingredients in it. Lots of curly hair products have glycerin because it's great for curls but I tend to avoid those products in the summer to help with the frizz.

    According to ur opinion I shouldn’t use styling products w/ glycerin or humectant in it for the summer. Why is that? What drug store brands would you recommend? I live in IN. I have 2b,high porosity,low density, medium length really thin hair.

      A good gel is not your mother’s hard hold gel. It gives me almost frizz free curls in high heat and humidity.

    any really good conditioner with slip? I have thin hair falls flat easily as in the picture lol.
    I was looking for mop top but it has an ingredient there that I found on CG that is not so good. Treluxe has glycerin. Please help!
    should I try Jessicurl conditioner? im open to any conditioner under 20.

      Which ingredient in Mop Top is it? I've never seen anything on their ingredient lists that concerns me or isn't cgm.
      TreLuxe, Curlsmith 3-in-1, LUS, and Ecoslay Rice Pudding all have really good slip.
