I've never seen that hanging test in a car review before but I'm thinking everyone should be doing this test! I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate being able to compare body stiffness, whether it be for crash safety reasons, or overall longevity of the vehicle, and it's ability to remain tight and rattle free over a number of years
Yes. You'd be surprised at how much better the Russian car reviewers are than even popular English auto reviewers. The Russian reviewers are objective and don't bullshit through flowery words. They eliminate the reviewer's bias. It's unfortunate that most Russian reviews are... well, in Russian. More power to 2hp. I hope they translate more reviews to English in the future cause they have a lot more car reviews in their Russian UA-cam channel.
Oh... I'm sorry about that. It's like the difference between USA and UK. Sometimes you cannot tell if you don't know the accent. Still, thank you for the superb car reviews.
I don't think it's a good idea to let the driver disable ESC. These are not racing cars, I don't understand why you are comparing them for 0-100. And yes, the bodies are or aren't rigid when you put the car on the hanging test, but realistically when is the car ever going to be in this situation? In 30 years I've never even seen it. You should be comparing these cars for the situations they are likely to be in. Also, none of these vehicles are serious SUVs, they are marketed towards families. You should be comparing how safe they are, how easy it is to get shopping in and out of, how easy it is to put a baby in the back, how smooth the ride is so it doesn't wake the kids, how safe it is in a crash, how quickly the air conditioning/heater is able to change the cabin temperature, etc. Things that are actually meaningful to the target market. If you want to test 0-100 then pick a sports car. If you want to test hanging, then get a Hummer. If you want to test snake then get a rally car.
Funny, but I'm not agree. What are you asking to test would be good for a Minivan I guess. An SUV of course is important safety, but for a test that it wont show every single aspect, is good to know how it goes in a hanging test, even when you wont do it, it's a car that has more chances than a SUV to be in that type of situations, probably not that extreme, but will still be driving in a irregular surfaces where will flex more the body.
Not possible to compare without specifying the use to which the vehicle is intended. The analysis was very different from mine because they were compared as cross overs not as urban vehicles as they were here.

If design and good looks was the only option, the winner is: Nissan Qashqai.
