- Lightning struck a truck in Mooresville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, Jan. 4, as widespread showers and thunderstorms crossed the region, according to the NWS.

the rubber thing is a myth
The metal body of your vehicle acts as a faraday cage and the lightning only travels along metal surfaces. If you're ever inside your car and it gets struck by lightning stay away from the doors.

Wow great video, sure wish we had thunderstorms like this, and NOT these 2 snow storm of 8" of and last week we had a blizzard of 2' + of snow and -25 below 0 temps, pipes frozen and broken pipes ECT, 😭😭😭😭 give us the thunder storms, we could that greatly use this, over snow. Sure hope nobody got hurt.🙏🙏🙏🙏.
