James, go for it! There are plenty of GT's that have been converted already, I know at least two that have been converted by @trinitt himself.

Great video. I know you edited out the bits of installing the trim. Any chance you have a video of the actual removal and replacement of those trim panels? Wanting to tackle this on my R8 but would love to see it in video form if you have

I'm pretty sure it's possible with the right electrical engineering knowledge, but unfortunately I don't have that background to tackle that type of project.
