Yea it's weird, I don't follow Dan Bilzerian but i gave this a listen on Spotify and thought he gave some good advice and had some interesting points. Then i checked this UA-cam video and see 4.8k likes, 2.2k dislikes and tons of hate comments. People need to learn to understand that nobody is perfect and just because you don't like someone it doesn't mean you can't learn something from them.

They tend to overgive, even without reciprocation. The subconcious mechanisms are usually overlooked by both men and woman. This guy plays the guy he wishes to be and says controversial things because he’s floundering and out of money. That’s what happens when you’re immoral and do t have a bigger goal. Big house and girls won’t cut it.
Sounds like a guy searching for something. The words that come to mind: Purpose and Fulfillment. He chose a life of purposelessness and now is looking back on it trying to figure out how to make something of it and turn himself around. Picking up women is probably the only skill he could see as valuable from his hedonism experiences. Fwiw, I think his advice there is actually really good. What he struggles with is figuring out how to apply what he learned to people who aren’t worth millions. When Chris pressed him on the social proof/lifestyle setup, he didn’t have an answer on how any regular guys could do it. So really his book is most useful for very rich guys who want to make dating easy.

I think he can pull chicks just fine without his fame and bank account, just less chicks and less attractive chicks. But even if we assume that he can only pull women with his fame and money... so what? He has the money and the fame, it's up to him whether he wants to use it to bang/date hot chicks or not. It's not like he can get a time machine, go back in time, pick hotter parents so that he can become handsome. He played his cards the best way he could. It's far better to be rich, famous and plain looking than poor, not-famous and plain looking. At least the first guy has a chance with beautiful women, even if it is up to some extent transactional, the other guy is stuck with the meh looking ones. This guy plays the guy he wishes to be and says controversial things because he’s floundering and out of money. That’s what happens when you’re immoral and do t have a bigger goal. Big house and girls won’t cut it.
Sounds like a guy searching for something. The words that come to mind: Purpose and Fulfillment. He chose a life of purposelessness and now is looking back on it trying to figure out how to make something of it and turn himself around. Picking up women is probably the only skill he could see as valuable from his hedonism experiences.
Fwiw, I think his advice there is actually really good. What he struggles with is figuring out how to apply what he learned to people who aren’t worth millions. When Chris pressed him on the social proof/lifestyle setup, he didn’t have an answer on how any regular guys could do it. So really his book is most useful for very rich guys who want to make dating easy.
