1 Livestock farming feeds livestock 80% of the antibiotics consumed worldwide.
      2. It uses huge amounts of water to produce animal flesh and their bodily emissions for human consumption
      3. livestock emit massive amounts of methane adding to the climate change phenomena
      4. consuming animal products causes immense health problems for humanity
      5. welfare of livestock is based on their status as commodities much as are; fossil fuels, sugar, tobacco etc. All of which are only produced with the desire that their shares prices increase. That is not for ethical purposes.
      6. The vast majority of the billions of livestock destined for the slaughter houses live in horrific conditions. Even the better off are exploited to such an extent that their natural lifespans are dramatically shortened and their bodies are severely harmed.

I worked many years as a agricultural mechanic and worked for John Deer and New Holland products in Quebec. I went to Saskatoon twice for training for NH combines. What really fascinated me was the difference in farming techniques that was used in the western provinces compared to Quebec and Ontario. It was like i was on a different continent or a different country . For a mechanic the adjustments and method of operating are so different . Like swathing 50ft of wheat for one combine would be impossible here in Quebec because there would be just too much material to handle in the combine and would not separate properly or have heavy losses out back. The hight of cut is also different , where here we cut wheat at 2 inches and there they cut it at about 10inches. What really fascinated me were the lawns that i saw, they were spars and not much grass where here it is thick as the hair on your head here .Here the combine are all 4x4 and are soya and corn combine while out West they are wheat combines or small grain combines and 2x4. I have a friend of mine that often combines corn until Christmas or close to it. I offered him once to put Christmas lights on his combine to be in the spirit .
When i worked for JD they had come out with the new MOCO discbine with the JD cutter bar instead of the Kunn head that was used before. Well let me tell you it was a disaster here in Quebec, it would clog up and wouldn't place the hay upright behind the conditioner for drying, it would bunch up on the right corner if you crossed a windrow that was cut. Just a disaster. The engineers were here and could not fixe the problem without a major change, which i had to do on the road on new disc mower that were already sold. Imagine what kind of shit i got when i would torch the ends to weld a rod to keep them from clogging then use spray can pain after. It looked like shit on a brand new equipement, man did i get chewed up by the custermors.

First off congratulations on reaching 100K. The reason why that happened so fast is you have a great channel and you do such a good job of explaining things as you go. Looks like you also got a pretty good rain in the last few days. Good for the crops not so good for the cows and the yard. Our rivers up north around Meadow Lake are flowing backwards as the Beaver river is the highest since the 70’s and the tributaries are backfilling. Yeah we have had enough rain for awhile.

We have a big creamery in town here and we have a big dairy 6 miles outside of town that can milk up to 5,500 cows 3x /day and they bought another dairy couple years ago 10 miles away from that dairy that milk 3000 hd 3x/day also. Some old guy commented to stop using the music. He couldn't hear you talk. But I loved it. Your music is still good. It's more the standard UA-cam, but not quite so distinctive as watching the field work from a drone view with that cinematic score. (ref. You need ceramic tile or epoxy paint in the bottom of your feed mangers. The cows will eat better and when you have to clean it the work will be a lot easier.

Your welcome! Enjoy your success, you've earned it.
On a side note, I don't understand the failure to put a simple light weight rain cover over those bunks. There are metal railings the cow have to eat through that would serve as adequate support to hold a light weight awing type of rain cover, directing the water into the central alley. That would end tonne of time spent cleaning those "pits" out. Eliminating spoiled feed to boot.
