Great video Jeff. Informative and very coherent on these two topics. Hope to see more videos on this channel from you, so much to cover and teach a hobbyist like us that are just starting out with this species.
Jeff - thanks so much for a super informative video! I got a beautiful female artic conda last week, she already a pinkie a couple of few days ago and I held her for the first time yesterday. One little hiss and a bluff strike, and then she just chilled in my hands for a bit. Watching this video has me wondering what % of hognose are more of the "bitey" types that you were showing that wanted to eat your hands? It seems like in most of the adults that I see in YT videos (like Snake Discovery, etc.), the majority of the adult hogs seem to be fairly laid back. (I'm sure you picked those specifically for the purposes of how to remove a biting hognose, and you knew they were typically the biting types. ) Thanks again!
Yoooooooooo! Jeff! I don't have any Facebook-related accounts, so I haven't found a way to leave a review (MorphMarket requires the sale to be made ON MM, apparently), but I was the cat you held the male arctic conda for a couple hours for, at Tinley. Just wanted to tell you how completely he (Dirge) has stolen my heart; I suspect you socialize them before sales because I can't believe how non-flighty he is. Eats consistently, right from the jump (a week after I brought him home). 6/5. If I get more hoggies, I know where I'm getting them.
I can verify that this works! I used this method on my little food motivated male. He actually stopped biting now. He bit me let go and grabbed back on. I guess he grew out of it because he doesn't try to eat me anymore!
If I have just one pet hognose and no other reptiles should I still wash them for mites? Can they still get them from the environment or are they contracted from contact from other snakes?
Lmao the dog vs the monkey analogy had me rolling
First!! Excited for your channel to take off Jeff!!
Thank you Ryan!

Nice to see you on UA-cam. Great info and helpful to have a pro explain it.
Thanks for the info! Beautiful snakes!
She was ready to eat the whole a table 🐽
Yay you finally made a UA-cam 🎉
True!
This was so helpful and informative, thank you
Hopefully Deliah settles down! She tried to eat me once but I was too fast for her. She lives to eat though! Lol 😂
Great video very interesting and informative we are going to try to get into the hobby this year
What’s the best way to condition them to not want to eat you?
Target training, using some aromas like rosemary for example can deter them. Was going to make a video about that one too :)
Good stuff! ❤
Hey Jeff can you tell me where I can go to look at the hognose you have available?❤😊
