- My friend surprised me and took me to Kellermans (Mountain Lake Lodge) in Virginia where Dirty Dancing was filmed! So awesome to be where one of our favorite movies of all time was filmed. We had the time of our lives!

i was there with my boyfriend 2 summers ago and i just loved it..Its amazing how much still looks like it did from the 80s Its sad about the lake though
Yes maybe they should do a pond soo there always are some water...good movie back then when you try to get your girl in "snuggle" mood 😉

I had no idea that place really existed. A friend and myself saw Dirty Dancing like 5 times when it was in theaters. Love this ❤
Loved viewing the film of the two ladies and the one of Mary Moody Northern. I'm a Galvestonian and will be coming for a visit in 2024. Excited to see everything for many reasons. My family knew Mary Moody Northern and all of Galveston knew who she was. I also had the privilege of taking a few dance classes when Patsy Swayze came to teach ballet at Miss McKenna's Dance Studio and brought her 12 year old son, Patrick, who joined in our class. He was the nicest 12 year old I'd ever known. I was in my 20s when I attended those classes. I will never forget it. Can't wait for the Summer of 2024!
Wow! That's chasing some old ghosts and making new ones. I'm haunted from time to time with memories of My elders and My own. Even the 2000's were a time I need it to be again, even for just one night. I know I can't have them as We are now. When I was a kid I can remember the lament of My elders for this time and place they were wanting to be back in because they were Young and had the time of their lives. That's why Eddie and The Cruisers 1983 and Dirty Dancing 1987 were made. Two definitive movies with Golden OBG music that captivates the Hiraeth of it all.

No not at all. I really don't know cause my bff surprised me and payed for everything. She said it was pretty pricey though. I'm sure you can look it up online.
