@@zacharyparis I've had no issues with the tops on any of my SLs. The hard tops advantages outweigh its disadvantages.
@@keon5779 The advantages are it's quieter when up and slightly more aerodynamic. The disadvantages are that it's more expensive, higher center of gravity, slower to operate, more ways to break, and heavier. Looks are subjective.

Biggest advantage of M4 cabrio is that kind of no b-pillar option which is missing in regular M4

It's really weird that this guy prefers a standard exhaust over the amazing M Performance. Personal preference I guess. M Performance sounds miles better than the standard one IMO. Much louder, way deeper and more characterful. Fantastic sound.
Buying a soft top because its "commiting" to convertible life more than a folding hardtop is silly. In the real world, more practicality with convertible fun is all win.

@TheStraightPipes I agree with Jakub. The pillarless coupe part of it it is great. In addition, living in an area with snow in the winter this top beats a fabric top every time, and no need to store a separate hardtop in the garage (or have someone help to remove it). I prefer the rakish roof of the hard top convertible to the sloping rear window of the coupe, too.
They always both shut the car doors at the exact same time in the intro and it’s so satisfying

Love the blue, it's definitely a convertible, no B pillars is legit bad ass, wheels look perfect and can't believe they got rid of that awesome body line down the side.

I think that the M4 looks brilliant, sounds amazing and I agree with Jacob because the coupe versions of the cabriolets are compared so the cabriolets should be compared as well.

Love the side profile of this car. Love, love, love. And, this front end looks better than Bimmer's latest redesigns, which look less aggressive and more blah. I also think this is the best blue in the industry.

Love this car, prefer hardtop verts to soft top for security and interior noise top up. These colors look good but my spec would be black or a green with the peanut butter interior. Good review guys!
Despite the slightly outdated styling, I LOVE the fact that it doesn't have B-Pillars behind the front windows.

I agree with the hard top convertible point of view. In my opinion it is a better convertible but also keeps the hardtop solidity. Plus no B pillars, excellent.

That roof looks fantastic! Not better than the hardtop, but just as good. They're just different. And the cool movement tops any other cab.

Living in Calgary, I've always loved the idea of a hard top convertible. You see guys here driving all winter with their convertibles and a hard top makes sense to me. However I am excited for the new 4 series convertible since it is a soft top!

If the roof drops, it's a convertible, whether it's soft top or hard top, there's no way around it. I prefer a hardtop, soft tops begin to tear after a bit and patches on the tops just looks hideous. Great review as usual, keep up the good work boys.

@@keon5779 That's what I plan on doing. My biggest concern is the ride quality, and possibly the build quality of materials. There isn't a plethora of reviews on UA-cam for this car.

I waited for the new 3, then grabbed an 18 when they released a few gen end ZHPs. (Mine isn't actually a ZHP because it's a Northeast Xdrive but looks the same with staggered 19s). I honestly prefer the old style and old school interior. Especially the gages. Added Dinan air and tune and couldn't be happier.

Just got the 2020 M340i. I had the chance to get the M4 but I passed. The M340i is so much newer feeling and has all the new tech. And feels almost as fast.

I've always found convertible versions of sports cars (with exception to 911s) kinda weird looking....like that rear window & trunk area.

@@jeremystig98 sadly not everyone lives in sunny California. Where I live the summers are beautiful for the top down experience but it lasts a solid 3 months. then its back to rain from October-Spring

It's LED... It sometimes appears as faulty in front of cameras, something to do with frame rates etc.
