Excellent review as usual. Edge has not been updated since 2015 and feels a bit outdated. Rumors have it next year is the last one for Edge production as we know it. Escape is a lot more agile and nimble, handles a lot like a car, definitely more fun to drive especially if equipped with 250hp engine.
Thank you! Agree with you about the look - it's definitely time for an upgrade assuming Ford is keeping it around. It's looking like the Edge may be in final year in 2024 but there's the chance Ford decides to bring the Edge L from China the same way they're bringing the next gen 2024 Nautilus
@@CarsWithSteve oh ok thx, one more thing I ordered a st elite hybrid literally the same color as the one you reviews (grey). A lot of people say the interior is cheap for the price....what's your opinion ?
There are pieces of it that could use an upgrade but for the most part it's comparable to the build quality in other crossovers at the same price point
50k is luxury car territory, I don’t understand why regular cars can be optioned up so high. Genesis GV70 is 48k - 58k therefore imo Ford shouldn’t allow the edge or escape price points to go into luxury price levels.
The Edge seats recline I don't know about the escape but I'm 6'5 and that's a nice feature in the backseat.
Both of them recline, but I do find the seats in the Edge to be way more comfortable and spacious
Can you upgrade openpilot on 2023 ford escape st line
The Escape doesn't have an autopilot feature.. There's the option for adaptive cruise control but it has to be added on as a factory option

My Mom has an Edge. My Dad and I have the Escape.
Nice! Which one do you like better?
could you do a drive test in the escape hybrid ?
I did a test drive in the plugin hybrid and had a blast - it's part of this full review: ua-cam.com/video/LWltF9_MkEw/v-deo.html

North American vs Korean manufacturing will do that...
