- My first time visiting Stevens Pass was pretty great. I had a tour guide that showed me these signature locations which was awesome! It's much better than trying to find places on your own.
This video of Stevens Pass features three locations: The Slot, Gaynor, and Merritt.
It was total luck that I visited when I did and got such vibrant Autumn colors from the vegetation. I was very excited about that and was extremely satisfied with the rainbow that decided to show up at Merritt. I was fighting the rain most of this day but that video at Merritt made up for all of it.
These scenes were filmed with the professional DJI Inspire 2 drone.

Your channel and this camerawork and your videos are not just for railfans. They are near perfect works of video art and stills could be entered in photo contests. I care little for technical issues about locomotives or rolling stock, but the scenery on this and other videos is great and appeals to a wider audience. Yeah, I'll admit the train is needed to complete the picture.

Dan, your videography is great, as is your ability to fly a drone while maneuvering among the mountains, trees, power lines, etc. The trains surrounded by magnificent scenery is most relaxing and enjoyable!

I would like to but I've never been out of the country in that kind of capacity so it's definitely out of my element.
Can you do between skykomish and scenic the line goes up a canyon crosses foss River on a curved trussel then goes along a shelf to scenic.
From about 1:20 to 1:40, what kind of cars are those empties? Fabulous scenery up there!
Those are empty well cars. The cars that haul the containers.
