    Sweet video! Great idea! I knew I should have gone out there before the rain started! LOL Likely would have run into you. Next time.

      Definitely! I always try to get some peeps to meet me when I go fly. Chances are highly likely haha

    Great idea! I have a occusync camera system that I move around from plane to plane but to have all the components together as you show is realy next level ! Hope to see version 2!

      That’s awesome! Just having a Caddx Vista on a base that I could move from plane to plane was the first the first iteration. The v2 should have all this stuff but be a lot smaller!

    Fpv on RC Cars are great, I've been thinking about using an FC in Mine and obstacle avoidance, but it's not simple.

    • @ChaddRainsFPV
      @ChaddRainsFPV  2 роки тому +2

      I hope you can make it happen! Using LiDAR may be your best bet (for doing it cheaply) but I’m sure there would be a lot of tuning. Cars often go over small obstacles and avoidance wouldn’t be wanted for those, something that isn’t an issue for drones, ya know.
      Another issue is I haven’t been able to get braking to work when using an FC. I can get throttle and reverse but braking never seems to register correctly. Best of luck tho!

    very cool, I want to make almost the same thing but with headtracking.. your vids are great, thanks

    Do you have electric noise problems on such tight setup for GPS or VTX??

    • @ChaddRainsFPV
      @ChaddRainsFPV  2 роки тому

      Nope 😎 Satellite locks in less than 1 minute (usually) and zero video issues with the Caddx vista video link. This could be built with an analog vtx and there could be noise issues if that were the case since it’s all being powered off of the same vBat rail, basically; but nothing a decent capacitor on that rail couldn’t fix 🤙

    You might want to remove the red esc wire(the one in the servo cable) from the plane if your pulling power from the brain. The two bec's will fight to the death otherwise. And I'm totally jealous of your flying buddies.

    • @ChaddRainsFPV
      @ChaddRainsFPV  Рік тому +1

      For sure^ To clarify more: Only connect signal and ground wires from you ESCs to the flight controller, or any breakout boards from the flight controller.
      And yeah, I’m jealous of my flying buddies too haha 🤙

    Imagine adding machine learning, target tracking, and obstical avoidance.

    • @ChaddRainsFPV
      @ChaddRainsFPV  2 роки тому

      It technically has a very simple form of machine learning in that it can auto tune it’s PIDs during an autonomous Target tracking and obstacle avoidance would be nifty haha 🤙

    hi, not sure if you still need help, but I work with 3d programs and would be willing to help. Good stuff

      I just posted the video this morning so I could definitely use help! The standard mounting size for the components I use here are 20x20mm. The base should be at least 40x40mm imo.
      I’m sure there are some more cleaver ideas regarding component mounting too. I just stacked everything up because that’s what was most available to me.
      I’ll be posting about this on the iNav FB group soon but if you know a better place to talk about this please share!

    I started droning in the time the emax tinyhawk and tinyhawk 2 made there debut... I remember looking for an f4 flight controller when I broke one off the tinyhawks.. It's cost was around 13 euro's maybe 20bucks...
    The pricing I saw on that chart 😱😱 insane!!!

    • @ChaddRainsFPV
      @ChaddRainsFPV  2 роки тому +1

      Dude, it has gotten insane. I hope to see prices drop for you/all of us, soon. Hopefully, swappable components catches on while prices are high, but won’t be necessary for long. Thank you for the comment!

      Super interesting! Looks like it’s really common for people doing autonomous FPV rc cars. It may be a bit behind ardurover in terms of easily setting up reliable waypoint missions but possibly ahead in it’s learning ability.
      Thanks for heads up!
