- 3-1/2 over ripen banana
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
1 cup crushed walnuts
1stick room temperature butter
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar

This video may be 4 years old but when I tell you that this banana nut bread was good I mean this was GOOOD the texture the softness amazing. I recommend doing it again it was perfection.
I really like wrapping it in plastic and letting it sit in the frigerator overnight because it gives it a beautiful caramel glaze over the top. In fact I'm making banana bread as we are speaking
I made this recipe twice and will not even try another seeing it's so simple, straightforward and easy. Thanks for introducing me to this delicious recipe 😋

This may have been an older video but I saw today for the first time 🤗❗️ When I TELL you “how awesome and simplistic this recipe is” you would be able to see the smile on my face🤗🤗. I made mine with raisins and your lesson about putting added items (nuts, “raisins” ) in the flour was right on point 💯🙀 Absolutely delicious, thank you soooo much. My batches were enough for 6 large muffins and a smaller loaf cake. My picture wouldn’t upload but I am sooo pleased💯❤️🤩👏🏾🙀‼️

I just made this recipe in a bundt pan (couldn't find my loaf pan). Soooo good and easy! Done in 45 mins in a convection oven. Thank you for sharing this!

May 25, 2021 - I just made your recipe for the banana bread. I used slightly less sugar, and I added a fully drained can of crushed pineapple in mine otherwise followed your recipe and IT IS FANTASTIC. Just DELICIOUS! Thank you Gina! YUM!

I made your banana bread the recipe was great, it came out great the only difference I made to the recipe was I use Brown butter and I did not have walnuts I use Pecans and I came out so moist and delicious thanks Gina for sharing the recipe.

I made this, with some alterations: less sugar (I just prefer not so sweet baked goods) and susbtituted the nuts with chocolate chunks from dark chocolate. It was delicious. The trick of coating the nuts with flour so they don't fall to the bottom works for chocolate, too.

It didn't make me wanna slap my momma(Lol) it did make me slap my knee it was good. It was my first baked nut bread. I was getting ready to throw the bananas away until you gave me some important information I didn't know about the bananas. Thanks for the tip so the nuts don't fall to the bottom. My husband doesn't care for nuts either so I try to put them on one side....lol ....I have to add them after I put the mix in the loaf pan.

Just made this today with a few tweaks: cap full of lemon juice, half all other ingredients cuz I only had 2 bananas, almond extract, cashews & pecans and not walnuts, ginger spice, pumpkin spice, allspice, and self rising flour to replace some ingredients I didn't have and baked just one for the same temp and the time I did was about an hr instead of 45mins and it was FREAKING amazing, thank you so much! 💕😭🤤

Wonderful banana bread, great job.
I tried your recipe again, but THIS time, instead of using a potato masher to sqush the bananas, I used a food processor and pureed the bananas. I mixed the sugar, the eggs, and the bananas in the processor until smooth; then I poured the banana mixture into the flour. This time it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe ...👍🏾

Suggestion: Next time try using Pecans instead of the walnuts, as has a lighter nut taste ... I love also adding Raisins along with my nuts of choice... I also at a grating of Nutmeg and mace , as well as about a Tablespoon of Dark Rum... I am a Caribbean Lady and its all about the Rum...OH! The Rum taste burns off in the baking , and leaves just a nice flavor. Ninette Bird, The Caribbean Wife.

have slivered almonds and Macadamia nuts. One of the loaves I'm putting in a few chocolate chips as my hubby likes

Would you like to try a little twist to your recipe? Lightly butter those loaf pans and then dust with white sugar. It makes an amazing coating on the outside crust. People will fight over the heel (end) slices.
Do you feel more adventurous? Instead of cinnamon, use pumpkin pie spice and pecans instead of walnuts.
...not better, just different. Enjoy

Made this for dessert. My wife ask for a second piece. It was very tasty. I did not have a second loaf pan so I used a muffin pan. Turned out well also but just took a little less time to bake in the muffin pan. Very nice recipe and easy to make.
