How could they have made, in 1983, mind you, the definitive 80s song? A song that captured the decade and all it entailed so perfectly so early on? I'm always mistified. The older the song is the more.
Such a Classic Record by Killing Joke. God, I used to work at a clothing store in the 80"s called The Factory in Downtown Los Angeles. We had a DJ that would play all the KROQ and Disco records while the customers were shopping. Loved It! and my co-workers and I would hit Hollywood after work to go to the clubs. Had Great Fun. How time flies now I am 66 and retired.
So Iconic..fuckin great, music and video..one of my fave guitarist and rythym sect..Jazz is cool always..what the fuck has happened to the underground..imo festivals...scenes were created in shit hole places, and $5 a ticket.. Festivals...always too hot, too many and too many jerks.. Dark, dingy, sticky carpet, hot sweaty gigs.. Even if u were a nice boy like me..🤔 It just felt rebellious just being in an inner city gig..just to get away from 'the burbs..✌️
My daughter was noodling the Killing Joke riff in her guitar class and the instructor said “That’s Nirvana.” She just stared at him in ‘80s kid’s offspring pity.
What's with the shots of a dog wedding instead of the scenes with coke and the alternate shots of Geordie Walker where the scars on his back are now hidden?
a good artist copies a great artist steals-picasso...yes kurt did rip off KJ eighties..who cares..im greatful we got 2 great songs [personally]..no doubt killing joke got there cut from nirvana one way or the other..he regurlaly mentioned KJ to the masses......every songwritter does it on some kind of conscious/sub conscious level...im sure kurt wasnt expecting every mf in the world to hear it.This is my mates page im just writting on it but im a songwritter and ive had my songs ripped to and by far less talented artists than kurt c...thats when it truely f.ing hurts....lol.. i think id feel humbled [and of course mildly annoyed] to have kurt c all over one of my songs...rip kc...and yes im a huge killing joke fan to so dont slip into some pathetic purist bullshit mode ...its all f.ing punk rock.theres no rules

Come as you are Nirvana
Right you recognize the riff. But its from 1984 by killing joke.
The Damned had the same riff in the track "Life goes on" 1982
Nirvana did it way better and a bit different 😊 Killing Joke borrowed it from the Damned.

❤️💯🍻
What's with the shots of a dog wedding instead of the scenes with coke and the alternate shots of Geordie Walker where the scars on his back are now hidden?
This is 1984
Yeah Geordie!
I though thumbnail guy will tell joke from 80's
Underrated comment.
It's not gone unnoticed how much the riff from Nirvana's Come As You Are smells like this song... hope you're getting some royalties action from it.
I hope the Damned is getting royalties from both Killing Joke and Nirvana (Life Goes On)
Nice
I thought it was recorded in 1985 mate
That bottom thing is really distracting. Why didn't they cropped that out?
Come. As you are... ops, wrong song.
Why all the comments from serbian people?
Because we have a good taste in music? :)
Because kosovo je srbje

Damian Burge and the Damned?
it's not copied, here is no any plagiarism
I totally agree, only way it would've been immoral is if someone won't admit they took a melody or got inspired by it
You never saw nirvana play i take.
NIRVANA FOREVER ❤️
No.
