After I had surgery on my ankle I was on morphine. I had to sleep on my back. Otherwise I can't sleep sleep on my back for long without popping my eyes 😴 back open.
I'm glad I just saw this! I just woke up exhausted, and I have severe sleep apnea. I have been sleeping on my back lately and have been more exhausted than usual. Thank you for yr videos!
@@pattygravs6354 🍀. Opium is the only thing that let me sleep on my back. That's after I ankle surgery. Some kind of numb that doctors use after surgery.
Really ? I didn’t know . Though I am a side sleeper, I find myself sleeping on my back with my arms fully stretched when I wake up in the morning and that happens frequently. Thanks Dr. Mandell for this knowledge. ❤ God bless.
Spiritual one is difficult to show but you can only feel and understand. Every time I learn something from your video. I always appreciate and respect you my dear master 🙏🏻 Merry Christmas to you !
good info Doc ! i had faced a heart/lungs condion [PE: blood clots in lungs], that time i could only sleep on back and that too on a soft towel behind my back, it was like this for almost a year, your info is helpful reminder to try to go back to side sleeping,
Ty Doc, you're content is always excellent. ANY suggestions for people with neck and lower back issues when sleeping? Ie. On my back is great for my neck but I always end up sleeping on the floor because my back needs really hard structure. But it's not a good sleep (even after years of this) and curling up on the floor even with pillows just ends up giving you sore shoulders and ribs etc... Open to any ideas anyone has! Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season 🙏🎅❣️🎄
Put a large piece of plywood between your mattress and box spring. It will give your bed the firmness/ hardness you need but still be comfortable. Shop for a pillow good for your neck. Find soft pillow/ pillows to fill in body areas you made need support with. Pregnant women have known about the joys of pillow support around the body or between the legs when sleeping sideways. Try different ways to figure out what will work for you🛌
@donnawatkins8404 the pillows is something I haven't tried yet! Thank you 🙏 I have floor boards under my mattress and got the firmest one I could find. But admittedly that was about 5 years ago. So you're definitely thinking the way I thought and my body has been telling me. So perhaps my mattress needs to be updated and 8 haven't used pillows aside from between my knees for years. So I like your suggestion! Maybe I need a pillow but just the right fit 👍 (I removed that years ago, but I guess we have pillows for a reason). Thanks for your ideas much appreciated. Have a good holiday season 🙏👍
HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR, may yhe Lord Bless everyone of you, znd may your year start off as a peaceful and happy one with yhe LORDS BLESSINGS 🙌 🙏 ❤️ BRINGING YOU ALL YOU NEED 🙏 🙏 🙏 AMEN ❤❤❤
Great advice as always. But Dr. Mandell if you could please speak more slowly, because if you speak so fast I don't understand everything and I have to watch your video from the beginning many times.
I’ve been sleeping on my back, corpse pose-ish, for 15-20 years. I don’t move as my legs are elevated for circulation purposes. I’ve been doing mouth taping for a couple of years now. Suggestions?
It is best for good body posture your body becomes full relax lying on your back one day doctor will say dont sleep it is bad for health sleep what makes you relax naturally nature is best
Hello and thank you for ALL your awesome and informative videos. My question is about sleeping on my back, I always fall asleep on my side my left usually because I get a lot of heartburn at night(another issue) but, I wake up on my back and am uncomfortable. I've had some arrhythmia type issues in the past and I'm not as healthy as I should be ...I smoke mostly marijuana and a couple cigarettes a day I'm a recovering addict from opiates (4 years free of heroin) Anyway, how do I keep from turning on my back at night No haters please I'm trying my best Thank you Dr Mandel
I always thought back sleeping was the healthiest. This is news to me. Thanks again!
Thank you so much every time I try to sleep on my back I wake up short of breath you are awesome. Thanks for reminding people.

S N O R I N G 😩😵🥴
@marrieimmaculate 🤫😒👍
LEFT SIDE IS THE HEALTHIEST ❤
I do but my arm shoulder gets so painful
I would say RIGHT side, because you don't press down on the heart area. I turn a lot and end up on the right side, starting from the back. :-)
Left side to help lose weight as well - I toss all over the place LOL...and I do have sleep apena.
Hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas!

side sleep is also good for the glymphatic system/the brains cleaning system. studies say having the head on the side is better for this function.

Who are true royalties?
Are trumpites true royalty? It would make sense. Lack of oxygen makes them stupid.
Please make a video for sound sleep
