Abusers break their victims to a point where they go crazy. Then they sit back and say “poor me, look at this crazy woman I’m having to deal with”. I saw it all with my sister and her ex. What was scary was how composed and plausible he always remained. We used to say we’d even believe him if we didn’t know what was really going on behind closed doors, he was that believable. Obviously we don’t know what’s actually gone on here, but don’t be so quick to believe him just because he comes across well. Abusers are extremely clever and manipulative. Remain open minded!

I understand your reasoning. How can he explain a previous DV arrest/conviction (I’m not sure if he was convicted) prior to meeting Melanie? If it wasn’t all him why isn’t he acknowledging this? He may of got full custody by lying and manipulating the court. It’s too easy to blame the woman or shame her. I believe he married her for her money and he is only known due to his association with her. Just because he’s taking her to court doesn’t mean he’ll win or it’s valid

I've been in an abusive relationship, and this man is telling the truth. An abused person would never openly do anything to attract a punch or slap, they are quiet, withdrawn and try to put on a brave face in public, they're never an extrovert because you know this will trigger the abuser, yet she is loud, obnoxious, and flirts with anyone, wearing the tightest, skimpiest clothes, that no abuser would ever let you get away with, as they have total control of what you wear, who you talk to, and what you say.
The 'victim' from these scenario's always overplay how bad it was, with no factual evidence, they get in touch with the exes and suddenly become best friends to discuss just how bad their relationship was, but they never admit to how bad they themselves are. And what abused person openly shows off their fresh new bruises to the world? There is no way you would openly show your bruises, never mind to millions on a TV show, we cover them up and hide them.
I'm just pleased he's kept the evidence, their counsellor has evidence, and their friends have evidence. She's the manipulator and she's doing all this for fame and money in front of her kids. What abusive person openly shouts this to millions on tv? A genuine abusive person keeps it away from their kids to protect them, and deals with it professionally....not for money and fame. She's doing this to help other women? Yeah right, money and lack of fame had nothing to do with it, did it!

And the police can only present the case to court if there is enough evidence. DV is hard to prove. I know I lived it. Unless it’s in the moment of reporting it’s near impossible. It’s her word against his.
What evidence do you suggest the victim of domestic abuse should have? Video footage of her husband beating her up in the privacy of their home? Educate yourself on the reality of domestic violence, even the basics will do…. “Domestic” - meaning at HOME. Do you think a serial abuser of women would choose to attack their partner with a house full of people? Or do you think they would wait till they are alone? There is no evidence she cheated whatsoever. If you can’t see through the most basic lies told by a very basic narcissist, who is not very bright let alone convincing, then I’d hate to see you anywhere near a garden. God help us.

I am always interested to listen to these things because as he says there are 3 sides to every story. The truth is that NO ONE but Mel & Stephen know the absolute truth. Ive never heard her speak on the situation but am aware of articles over the years. From watching his body language there is some gaslighting and narcissim, HOWEVER there are some truths in there too going by body language and his energy alone. Anything we the public believe is our opinion, based on our own experiences and our view of the world. Likely we many never know the actual truth. Despite what we think, everyone deserves to tell their side of events, we can choose to listen or not but this cancel culture has to stop. I hope that they both work on themselves and find a way forward without further hurt and damage to themselves and those around them.

Apologies for the long comment but you might find this interesting. Johnny Depp was already found guilty of domestic abuse toward Amber years before that trial. That trial was because Amber spoke about Johnny in an anonymous article which he claimed was affecting his career so took her to court over the article. When she was found guilty, it was guilty of spreading damaging information about him publicly (regardless of it being true) the verdict was nothing to do with whether he was an absuer or not as that had already been legally sorted. Abusive partners cannot stand not having control or communication with their victims, they thrive on witnessing their lives to go to ruins, especially after leaving them, they want to punish them. So Johnny spent millions on taking Amber to court for any reason they could find and it worked. She got slated. There’s a documentary in the making on how Johnny, his management, PR team and lawyers spent millions on new technology methods that uses bots (fake social media profiles) to bend the narrative online. Having thousands of bots slate Amber across all social media platforms convinces others (the real profiles, people like us) to think the same. You know, conformism. They manipulated the public into having certain views and opinions on Amber and Johnny. It’s a very interesting tactic hence there’s a documentary being made about it. Please do your research before making such statements. If you didn’t care enough about either Amber, Johnny or the trial to understand what the trial was about, you shouldn’t have such strong concrete opinions. It takes 10minutes to read an article on a trial, rather than spending hours flicking through UA-cam and TikTok being fed memes and comments by bots, making you think the trial was about a guilty or non guilty verdict over abuse, when it wasn’t that at all. You’ve literally been a victim of the online bots tactic. In future, if you come across a situation where you’re forming an opinion over someone online, please READ about it rather than view it on social media. I cannot stress enough how important qualified, respected journalist are that can give you more legitimate information in a few paragraphs than a million TikTok videos ever will. Don’t let these media platforms outsmart you. 😌

I was one of the viewers that commented negatively before viewing based on media coverage and interviews with Mel talking about the years of abuse. Watching this now, I have to say that (based on the no charges and gaining child custody) I believe what he says. They are both very strong personalities so I don't doubt that they clashed at times but if things were as bad as Mel alledeges he would have been prosecuted and there would have been some evidence.
I have been an abused woman for a period of 4-5 years, I didn't go to the police, I never sought medical help.. I escaped! What I did do was fight tooth and nail for my child and my child's safety. There is no fear, coercive control, psychological abuse ( which for me was worse than the beatings because it lasts forever. Or said beatings that would stop me from protecting my child from the abuser, father or not! I Would rather be dead than live with the knowledge that my child was living with such a person.

So my opinion is they had a typical toxic relationship,shes always been wild always known for it shes always been feisty and loud and gobby definitely not the type to take anyones crap,ive seen lots of interviews where she is feisty headstrong and a tough girl,im not saying shes lied about everything but probably some,its messed up that they both were sleeping with other people,both sound like they were pretty wild,i feel sorry for the kids both stuck in the middle of a toxic relationship kids always suffer they should of split up long before they did, clearly she was drinking & taking drugs,hes obviously not perfect himself,im 50/50 on this now tbh also tamer hassan is a married man hes been married for years ive always liked him but really disappointed to hear he went with mel also what does that say about mel?she went with a married man thats bad you dont do that to another woman,im not saying he's never physically abused her but i know of women scared of men and in an abusive relationship the last thing you would do is cheat because you are too scared too because of the consequences also it makes you really wary of men to the point you don't even want to be with another man again,he has a right to speak on it like she did,i was totally thinking hes completely full of it before this interview but as I've said im 50/50 now he didn't stutter or take long pauses either throughout the interview he could recall everything clearly straight off the bat,i think she kept to her word and tried to ruin him,lets not forget some women are as manipulative as men,its none of my business clearly i don't know either of them personally,i don't feel sorry for either of them though i feel sorry for the children i can only imagine the trauma they now have from this messed up toxic relationship,also he wasn't charged with a single thing which is a bit telling if she was in abusive relationship,maybe shes completely caught up in her own lies now,i just hope the daughter they have together doesn't ever see this interview and shes not manipulated by either of them and gets her head messed up

Can i just say this guy has to be careful at this point what he says because he's got a court case against her pending. If I am wrong about her i will be the first to say how genuinely sorry I am. But if he wins his court case she needs to apologise publicly to the women who have been and still are struggling with DV.
