It's a very good technique, probably just needed some more time blending for the perfectionists in the audience. But this is probably the fastest technique for blending colors.

don't be discouraged but most of us watching are looking for simple diys,apparentlyyou didn't blend so you didn't have the ombre effect

This isn't ombre, 😕 but the diagonal stripes were done pretty well, as far as neatness goes.
May I ask what shades of green did you use??

Apparently not. You are supposed to paint base colour on the tape before applying another colour to avoid this kind of crap.
I thought the same thing. True ombre blends all the colors. This is just different shades of stripes.
