Holy cow, this would actually be epic. I doubt it's going to be this way, but some deeper characters And story could go a long way in helping the fame and flushing out the world of pikmin. Very solid idea bro. Only 10 more days till pikmin and I can't wait. Lol
I highly doubt shepherd would every be evil because you need her in order to upgrade ochi and if she disappears before the end of the game then you just can’t make ochi stronger
Rescue Corps HQ lost contact with the team sent to find Captain Olimar, so you were tapped for an emergency mission to track them down. What could have happened to such a capable rescue team? Immediately upon landing, Rescue Pup Oatchi rushed to greet you. Together you found Collin unconscious on the ground! When he came to, he explained the rescue team's current predicament. With high hopes of finding the other Rescue Officers, you all set out for the S.S. Shepherd. Passing through the cave was just supposed to lead you to the S.S. Shepherd, but when you boldly leaped in, you encountered a terrified Rescue Officer surrounded by strange creatures. To make matters worse, that officer is the captain! Time for another rescue! To the captain's relief, you saved her from the creatures surrounding her. Luckily, she knows how to reach the ship from there, and the four of you continue on your way to the S.S. Shepherd. You made it to the S.S. Shepherd, but there were no signs of the other Rescue Officers. What's more, with the energy tank empty, you can't use the radar to find them. Escaping this planet is now the least of your concerns. How will you find the other castaways? Thanks to the puzzling Pikmin creatures you encountered, you managed to collect some treasure that could be converted into an energy source for the S.S. Shepherd. With the radar back online, you begin your search for the other castaways in earnest, using their SOS signals to guide you. Guided by the reactivated radar, you started exploring a new area and soon found a castaway deep within another cave. After getting them out of there safely, you discovered it was the team's scientist, Russ! Another Rescue Officer is back in the fold! The whereabouts of 3 Rescue Officers are still unknown. During your search, you were surprised to find an unidentified castaway. Apparently, the Rescue Officers and Captain Olimar aren't the only castaways stranded on this mysterious planet. Science aficionado Russ figured out how to make use of the raw materials scattered around the planet! What's more, you saved the Rescue Corps's gruff ranger, Dingo. Only 2 more Rescue Officers remain at large: the doctor and the pilot. According to Dingo's story, the -beings with leaves growing out of their heads-are attacking castaways and turning them into leaflings too. He believes the missing pilot could be a victim himself! You need to get back out there and find Bernard. The energy supply for the S.S. Shepherd continues to grow, and you've traversed even more of the planet. During your explorations, you located the missing doctor, Yonny. Only 1 Rescue Officer is still out there- the pilot. But has he been turned into a leafling? Could the leafling you rescued be the pilot you've been searching for? The only way to know for sure is to have Yonny examine them and, hopefully, come up with a way to cure their leafy condition. According to Yonny, to cure the castaways with leaves growing out of their heads, he requires a special medicinal ingredient that is extracted from \ Emphasis\ Default\ which only appear at night. The risk is high, but you have no choice. You need to go on a night expedition! Using the glow sap procured during your night expedition, Yonny was able to cure the rescued leafling! However, the team's celebration was quickly cut short by the realization that the castaway they had cured wasn't the pilot after all. This newly rescued leafling may just be the missing pilot, Bernard! But to find out, you'll need more glow sap to create the cure and restore them to their non-leafy state. You'll have to make time for a night expedition while continuing to search for more leaflings. Is Bernard simply moving from place to place? Is he even a leafling at all? As the questions pile up, the team decides to not only rescue and cure any leaflings you find but to locate that one leafling who keeps slipping through your fingers. You found Bernard, the pilot! Now the original mission to find and rescue Captain Olimar can begin in earnest. Sadly, none of the SOS signals match the location mentioned in Olimar's last Voyage Log entry. You'll need to finish repairing the S.S. Shepherd to expand the radar's range. One mission remains: rescue Captain Olimar. According to the Voyage Log, he had been searching for ship parts inside a large structure in the exact area where a new SOS signal was recently picked up. It has to be him! After opening the locked bunker in Hero's Hideaway, you found something interesting inside... The leafling you've been looking for lying in wait! Could they be Captain Olimar? You emerged victorious in the final Dandori Battle against the leafling presumed to be Captain Olimar. Now it's time to bring them back to the Rescue Command Post and return them to their original form. Could that leafling you rescued really be Captain Olimar? If that is their true identity, once you restore him to his non-leafy state, the Rescue Corps's mission will be complete! All that stands in the way now is a dangerous night expedition to harvest glow sap for the cure. You rescued Captain Olimar! With all the Rescue Officers and other rescued castaways on board, the S.S. Shepherd can finally depart this strange and dangerous planet. Having rescued Captain Olimar, you were on your way home, when Oatchi suddenly started showing signs of distress! You turned back to find the Koppaite veterinarian Nelle, who might know how to help poor Oatchi. Soon after setting out for a new area to look for the veterinarian Nelle, you came upon Captain Olimar's subordinate, Louie, and Moss. They made off with a castaway that looked a lot like a Koppaite. You located Louie and Moss! Though you tried to convince them to hand over the castaway, they ignored you and fled into a cave. Don't lose your best chance at curing Oatchi now! After you defeated Louie in a Dandori Battle, he and Moss ran off together, leaving the castaway behind. The castaway appears to be a Koppaite. Their rescue is now your top priority! The rescued castaway was indeed a Koppaite! As they might have information about the veterinarian Nelle, the team decides to start asking questions as soon as they wake up. The rescued Koppaite was one of Nelle's companions! She and two others were split up shortly after arriving on the planet. Next you'll visit Giant's Hearth to search for the remaining 2. Another Koppaite was found and rescued. You have to find Nelle the veterinarian ASAP-for Nelle's own sake and Oatchi's. You head back to the Rescue Command Post to ask the Koppaite about her whereabouts. According to what the two Koppaites told you, Nelle was dragged deep into the forest by a giant doglike creature. You'll need to upgrade the radar even more to continue your search for the veterinarian. You located the veterinarian Nelle! But no sooner did you find her than she was dragged away again by Louie and Moss. You're determined to get her back to cure poor Oatchi, no matter what it takes. Louie and Moss escaped again, dragging Nelle into a cave with them. You don't know what their goal is, but it doesn't look like they want to let her go anytime soon. Louie escaped, but thankfully he left Nelle and Moss behind. As Moss heads for the Rescue Command Post at Olimar's command, you need to hurry up and rescue Nelle so she can treat Oatchi's tail. The giant dog that Louie is pursuing is most likely the creature that kidnapped Nelle. To cure Oatchi, she'll need the cells of that dog, since it doesn't have a leaf tail. Clinging to a sliver of hope, you head out to continue your search in the Primordial Thicket. You found Louie's journal next to a cave deep in the woods. This cave looks like it might be the giant dog's den. If so, Louie and the giant dog are sure to be inside! While searching the giant dog's den, you happened upon a lurking Louie! Ignoring your calls, he disappeared into the back of the cave. Just when you thought you had Louie cornered in the deepest level of the cave, he got on a terrifyingly giant dog and attacked! To get your hands on the dog's cells, you'll have to find some way to quell its rage. The giant dog fled, leaving behind its collar and Louie. Using the dog's cells left on its collar, you should have what you need to cure Oatchi. You also have an unconscious Louie. It's time to return to the Rescue Command Post. Oatchi's tail is back to its fluffy self! You can set off into space anytime, but there may be some unfinished business left to complete on this planet. If you're not in a rush, you may as well explore for a little longer...

In the demo there is a gameplay guide that explains game modes or features including night expeditions where we learn we get glow sap to reverse the leaflings. We also see a new game mode we never learned about being Olimar's Shipwreck Tale, where we collect 30 ship parts like in Pikmin 1. There is also just a lot more information on Dandori battles and challenges
@@MySnugglePuppy just because its in the demo doesnt mean i wanna know about it 💀i didnt look in the how to play section cuz i didnt want to know how to play 🗿
@@mikmin2.0 You are also watching Pikmin stuff, which after the datamines puts you in big risk of being spoiled. I already have been, and even this comment section has some trolls who are posting big spoilers. Just a heads up.
I noticed that the area map for the hub actually includes the higher up strip of land where the ss dolphin is. The map only includes areas you can explore eventually, so I think that you eventually either find a builder castaway who builds a bridge up there, or there is a certain point that allows you to further upgrade oatchi’s jump ability. Getting up to the ship with your character could unlock the “Olimar’s shipwreck tale” side mode that was in the gameplay guide or unlock the last main area of the game (like wistful wild) before unlocking the finale area.
Ngl each time I played through the demo I found shepherd to be pretty annoying. Don’t know why she feels the need to talk down to me when I had to save her from 3 small enemies. Collins a G tho
@@Oracledraws I agree with that. And I understand why she talks the way she does but I don’t know I just don’t really like her so far. Guess I’ll see if that changes once the game comes out
Just to add a doublt twist, imagine a leaf person we find later is the real captain shepard and she absolutely confused about the backstory she supposedly had...this leads to the reveal the fake Shepard is actually another wraith enemy who can mimic other creatures apparence, which makes the final boss a short of boss rush until revealing the creatures true form
I think the hub world will also get bigger! if you move those blue plastic flower pots you have more area to explore as well as Olimar’s ship! at least that’s my personal take on it. Ps. I also had my own little theory that Olimar was rebuilding society with these Leaflings! Go check it out if you have the time!
(fyi, this is speculation, I haven't seen leaks). If you use the survey drone in the hub world, you can see an unreachable area. However, this area looks like it has been designed for you to be able to walk around in and not just some background element. I believe that the more castaways that we rescue, not only does the population of the hub expand, but the playable area itself.
I saw a tip when I was just loading into the demo area and it said: A Legendary Skill Once all other skills have been mastered, you can finally learn…the legendary skill. This made me go crazy! I was just thinking of what this “legendary skill” is. There might be a bad ending like in Pikmin 1!
Betrayal or not, I strangely like the idea that some non PNF-404 creature, like another captian or full company could see the hocotate's gathered treasure hoard as a threat, and also see Olimar as the strongest link in that company, thus targeting him. It would feel fresh to have the threat be non alien, and someone targeting olimar for his place at the company, rather than his connection to pikmin and PNF-404
Ghost come in this is price Shepard's men attacked us in the airplane graveyard soap get down ghost I repeat again do not trust Shepard I said again do trust Shepard SOAP GET DOWN-cpt price

we already know that Yonny the doctor is both the access to night mode and the cure for the leaflings. WIth enough context clues it should have been obvious to put together without the in game confirmation in the players guide how its going to work. The captains themselves say they need a doctor and we see in the trailers that Yonny lets us go to night mode... Without saying what it is, it should be clear if the doctor is sending you out on night expecditions it must be necessarry for whatever is needed to cure the leaflings.
Imagine Nintendo seeing this video and saying "That's a good Idea! Let's make a last minute addition and make the ending as unfinished as the entirety of Sonic '06!"
1. This is now my headcanon until the main game comes out and we get the real story. 2. I guess I've been doing a hell of a good job dodging spoilers bc I didn't even know the game leaked and I haven't seen any videos covering leaks besides a few enemies. Dw I won't spoil. I don't even know their names
even though we already know you cure leaflings with the glow stuff, it'd be the greatest troll of all time for us to cure the leafling olimar only for it to turn out to be louie the whole time
It will be cool if olimin was controled by the green puppy is plan being spreading evil bush onions for the whole galaxy and the final boss will conist on 3 faces: Face one is the dog and olimin who as revealed is true form, they attacks are evil vercions of otchi's abilities and using some of olimar's own abilities(witch includes using the sprays) , The second face begins wen the dog is defeated but it was only a distraction for olimin to start the fly of an mutant onion (with part of the dog"s consonce is on it cuz the dog was just a part of the evil plant's) that is fushioned with the other castaway ships that landed on the planet (including olimar's ship) that is going to go to space to infect the galaxy (the final battle appens in an closed place just to be clear) so we chase the onion for destroying so can't reach the outside and go to space, the onion trows seeds representing various pikmin" red explodes in fire wen lands, wen blue creates a puddle that obstaculised the path, yellow explodes in electristy, purple stonds wen lands (and can be reflected by othci),white make's a poisonus cloud, pink are homing missiles(that can be destroyed),rock create obstacles wen land(and can be reflected by otchi too),cyan makes ice clouds that frezze everything that touches and green makes that explosions that ghost pikmin make"( if ot whistle's on an seed after explodes can spawn some pikmin from the respective color)and the onion uses is vines to attack wen we are close to him gotta have is atention to more easely destroy the weak parts to destroy the onion that have's an fine in the center in every weak part to destroy , The next final faces happens wen the onion is destroyed and olimin falls from it and olimar is free but olimins esence (the only thing left from the plant) and everyone think they destroyed the evil plant but wen the onion was destryed part of olimins esence absorbs some pikmin that sprout into an evil pikmin( how to boss looks and attacks depends on the type of pikmin that you have so if you don't have some espesific type of pikmin on the fight like red or purple so the monster don't have's his abilities) who have's the plant's concience still on it so the monstermin(that's how i call it)want's to take revenge on the rescuer and the pup that ruined is plans so he says with an demonic voice "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING" and starts the battle , the monstermin have's leaves like the pikmin alien fushion having one color of one of the pikmin type they absorbed : red can breathe fire, blue can spit water and create exploding bubbles, yellow can create elevtricity, white can spit poison and poisonus clouds, purple can creathe shock waves and is the longest one to beat, pink can fly can use is wings to blow air and send you away and atack like the broom from banjo kazooie, rock can create shock waves too and spawn stalactites from his back, ice can create ice clouds that frezze everything that touches and ice stalactites, green is almost invisible and can create energy balls that explode(an olimar back to normal will trow pikmin if you don't have many pikmin)the monstermin can use is leave to atack like normal pikmin and can use is own soul to absorb pikmin to regain life and some faces too and only the wisthle can free pikmin from the soul, After the battle the monstermin explodes and the castaways are freed from the plant's esence
The game play guide says that after completing a night expedition you get a special nectar that can cure one leafling. So uh, I don't think all hell will break loose.
In one of the end-of-day dialogues between Shepherd and Collin, Shepherd actually has a nightmare about an army of pikmin invading the S.S. Shepherd. Perhaps this is foreshadowing an event just like the one you describe, where Leafling(s) invade the home base with their pikmin armies. Although if it is foreshadowing, it probably means someone other than Shepherd is the villain behind it all. I don't know if the end-of-day dialogues are chosen randomly, or if they always arrive in the same order. If it is, then I saw it at the end of Day 11. Edit: Here's an exact transcript, for reference. Shepherd: N-nooo... Halt! Come no closer! Collin: Captain! What is it? What's wrong?! Shepherd: They're here! On the S.S. Shepherd! Pikmin...so many Pikmin... At this rate... we'll be crushed... Collin: Uh, Captain? I'm not seeing any Pikmin... Shepherd: BWAH?! Oh my! Thank goodness... It was just a nightmare. Shepherd: I-I mean it was a dream! I was giving the Pikmin orders! And I wasn't afraid at all. Not one bit! Collin: Of course. I totally believe you, boss.
Omg so in one of the end of day logs sheperd says her mom made her gold pikpik carrot smoothies so what if shes mad because her delivery was eaten by luie
Shepherd can't be affected by Hocotate Freight finding the treasure as treasure is only found AFTER Olimar makes it back from PNF404. And since Olimar is still looking for ship parts, he hasn't made it back to Hocotate yet. So Shepherd has no reason to hate Olimar.
It would be cool for the dandori battle royale they brought back bulbmin, and they are here because they were disturbed by everything going on and thought there was food or something. Idk it would help because what if during this takeover there were elemental enemies and you needed to take care of them.
I love it! I love the theory about dandory. In pikmin 1, olimar says that he breath Co2 and the planet is full of O2. So the plant head dandory are like a symbiosis to make them breath. I have a terrible question 🙄 in pikmin 1 : olimar s wife is worried about him Pikmin 2 again Pikmin 3 we find olimar Pikmin 4 we looking for him When will the wife / family be the main character of the game?
I’m not sure if it’s worth mentioning, but there IS an enemy in the hub. It might just be decor and not have actual AI, Because your not suppose to get near it. Behind where you find the Gameboy, there’s a nearby pink flower. This is a new variant of the Creeping crysinthia thing. It’s eyes close when you’re nearby, but if you go back away, like, around the nose of the s s shepherd-ish area, you can see the black base of the flower open and it’s an eye
Holy cow, this would actually be epic. I doubt it's going to be this way, but some deeper characters And story could go a long way in helping the fame and flushing out the world of pikmin.
Very solid idea bro. Only 10 more days till pikmin and I can't wait. Lol
If we flushed out the world of Pikmin only Blue, Ice, and maybe Pink would be left.
If anyone’s wondering, this is probably gonna happen. The dolphin was in an entirely different location in one of the trailers
I highly doubt shepherd would every be evil because you need her in order to upgrade ochi and if she disappears before the end of the game then you just can’t make ochi stronger
I mean could just have another character temporarily do it nothing stopping that from happening

it would add so much more play time
which is good
I spent so many hours in that dungeon maker lmao
In the demo there is a gameplay guide that explains game modes or features including night expeditions where we learn we get glow sap to reverse the leaflings. We also see a new game mode we never learned about being Olimar's Shipwreck Tale, where we collect 30 ship parts like in Pikmin 1. I really hope that the burrows of beginnings will have a second section with a boss like maybe a wall collapsed or something
I always thought Shepherd could be a twist villain. Like Louie but more self aware.
Yeah another shepherd is villain
I noticed that the area map for the hub actually includes the higher up strip of land where the ss dolphin is. The map only includes areas you can explore eventually, so I think that you eventually either find a builder castaway who builds a bridge up there, or there is a certain point that allows you to further upgrade oatchi’s jump ability. Getting up to the ship with your character could unlock the “Olimar’s shipwreck tale” side mode that was in the gameplay guide or unlock the last main area of the game (like wistful wild) before unlocking the finale area.
when i finish the game i'm gonna come back here to see if you were right because this could very much be true
to be fair you can place markers in that section so...
Ngl each time I played through the demo I found shepherd to be pretty annoying. Don’t know why she feels the need to talk down to me when I had to save her from 3 small enemies. Collins a G tho
Shes a leader, she needs to take her job seriously, what do you think?
@@Oracledraws I agree with that. And I understand why she talks the way she does but I don’t know I just don’t really like her so far. Guess I’ll see if that changes once the game comes out
Bro that would have been sooo cool, I would have loved that sooo much more than the actual story. Its a shame it didn't happen :(
Just to add a doublt twist, imagine a leaf person we find later is the real captain shepard and she absolutely confused about the backstory she supposedly had...this leads to the reveal the fake Shepard is actually another wraith enemy who can mimic other creatures apparence, which makes the final boss a short of boss rush until revealing the creatures true form
Shepherd's my favorite out of the Rescue Corps team, but seeing her as a villain would actually be pretty awesome.
Question tho: What happened to Shepherd after Leafling Olimar fled. Did she go with or stay-
I think the hub world will also get bigger! if you move those blue plastic flower pots you have more area to explore as well as Olimar’s ship! at least that’s my personal take on it.
Dang, that story theory was really good!
I saw a tip when I was just loading into the demo area and it said:
A Legendary Skill
Once all other skills have been mastered, you can finally learn…the legendary skill.
Whilst I don't think this will happen, I'm 90% sure that some plot twist will happen
The leaflings are just

I think the doctor might be able to find a cure. In one certain day the rescue corps were talking about a cure as soon as they found their doctor.
3:37 Fun Fact: Both Fortnite Creative 2.0 and Pikmin 4 use UFEN I think.
This could happen because why would Louie’s I’d get updated while the other did not. I would love if she backstabs us with some sort of twist.
I hope alph and the others appear as castaways to give side quests
Shepherd being evil: COLLIN, DO NOT TRUST SHEPERD! I SAY AGAIN DO NOT TRUST SHEPHERD! RUSS GET DOWN
The Leafling Olimar event would be so cool if the twist is that he's the Plasm Wraith all along

@@RagginsRescue Corps HQ lost contact with the team sent to find Captain Olimar, so you were tapped for an emergency mission to track them down.
According to Yonny, to cure the castaways with leaves growing out of their heads, he requires a special medicinal ingredient that is extracted from \

which only appear at night.
If you're not in a rush, you may as well explore for a little longer...
we already know that Yonny the doctor is both the access to night mode and the cure for the leaflings.

The next final faces happens wen the onion is destroyed and olimin falls from it and olimar is free but olimins esence (the only thing left from the plant) and everyone think they destroyed the evil plant but wen the onion was destryed part of olimins esence absorbs some pikmin that sprout into an evil pikmin( how to boss looks and attacks depends on the type of pikmin that you have so if you don't have some espesific type of pikmin on the fight like red or purple so the monster don't have's his abilities) who have's the plant's concience still on it so the monstermin(that's how i call it)want's to take revenge on the rescuer and the pup that ruined is plans so he says with an demonic voice "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING" and starts the battle , the monstermin have's leaves like the pikmin alien fushion having one color of one of the pikmin type they absorbed : red can breathe fire, blue can spit water and create exploding bubbles, yellow can create elevtricity, white can spit poison and poisonus clouds, purple can creathe shock waves and is the longest one to beat, pink can fly can use is wings to blow air and send you away and atack like the broom from banjo kazooie, rock can create shock waves too and spawn stalactites from his back, ice can create ice clouds that frezze everything that touches and ice stalactites, green is almost invisible and can create energy balls that explode(an olimar back to normal will trow pikmin if you don't have many pikmin)the monstermin can use is leave to atack like normal pikmin and can use is own soul to absorb pikmin to regain life and some faces too and only the wisthle can free pikmin from the soul,
After the battle the monstermin explodes and the castaways are freed from the plant's esence

3:26 I swear I saw this animation somewhere on UA-cam. Does anybody know the name of it?
I linked it in the description. It’s a wonderful animation!
Only issue is that pikmin 2 and 3 seemingly arent canon to pikmin 4
Well this aged bad
Interesting
Raggins I love you
I love you too
Whoa
WAIT THERE ARE LEAKS NOOOOOO
I’m not sure if it’s worth mentioning, but there IS an enemy in the hub. It might just be decor and not have actual AI, Because your not suppose to get near it. Behind where you find the Gameboy, there’s a nearby pink flower. This is a new variant of the Creeping crysinthia thing. It’s eyes close when you’re nearby, but if you go back away, like, around the nose of the s s shepherd-ish area, you can see the black base of the flower open and it’s an eye
big spoiler here but pikmin are in the game
