I never knew, but im a saxophone player and my instructor at the time was friends with a man who gave us a peice he was working on the play, it was just titled lullaby #3 but I loved it so much, and he was a very kind man, he died a few years later though sadly in Los Angeles, and my instructor kept the peice as a memory of his friend, one of the most beautiful pieces I had ever seen. Years upon years later I find this song, and it sounds hauntingly familiar... it was lullaby #3 exactly, and his name is posted right there on the title, I never knew he published it since I only met him the one time but finding this years later brought me to tears, I don't know why, the world is small, I only met you once but your songs carry life Laurindo, I hope your happy where you are

When I learned this song and aruarian dance were versions of pavane, it made sense why they’re some of my favorite songs, given that Pavane is maybe my favorite classical piece of all time.
-Palavras do Senhor.
I’ve heard this song in many UA-cam shorts, I just now decided to listen to the whole song. I don’t know why but I started crying about halfway through, what a beautiful song.
Do not be sad its over, be happy it happend The memories you made, the laughter you had. They will always be with you. For when a butterfly lands on you, its an angel. They love you forever. Remember that, whoever it is, they love you.
"The Lamp Is Low" is a popular song from the 1930s. The music was written by composers Peter DeRose and Bert Shefter, adapted from Pavane pour une infante défunte, a composition by Maurice Ravel. The lyrics were written by Mitchell Parish. Mildred Bailey made the first notable recording of "The Lamp is Low" for Vocalion Records (catalog No. 4845) on April 24, 1939. Covers by various other musicians quickly followed, including one by Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra (vocal by Jack Leonard) recorded on May 1, 1939 on Victor Records (catalog No. 26259). The Dorsey version was a hit[2] and helped the song to feature on the hit parade in 1939 for nine weeks. The song continues to be a favorite of jazz musicians. The brazilian virtuoso guitarist Laurindo Almeida recorded in 1969 and his version was sampled by the japanese producer Nujabes in 2004, as part of the track "Aruarian dance", 20 years ago.
Laurindo's Classical Current is truly breathtaking. One of the things I love the most about my country, regardless of its numerous geopolitical and economical problems, is its cultural and musical richness. Artists like Caetano Veloso, Tom Jobim, Adoniran Barbosa and many others bring so much joy to my ears.
I love the fact that it took almost a century and like 4 to 6 different writers and artists to get to the end result of Aurarian dance. The guitar is just played so smooth, music truly is amazing

França, Estados Unidos, Brasil e Japão em uma história de mais de 100 anos, it's funny how the music puts time in perspective, add a soundtrack to your life and pefect it. Whenever you are feeling blue, keep walking and we can get far.

This is something special January 21nd 2023 5 months ago my Dad has died. Since then ive been listening to this song on repeat for months. This song is the perfect song to describe ones life. Ups and downs happiness , sadness and salvation. Even though life may not seem to be worth it. Even though life can be shit at times it are these small moments that make it special. Why do we love or cling to something ? Like a person. Why do we get sad when someone passes away. Why do we get that "feeling" The feeling of love of just pure love In many ways towards many things This song is one of them. This song makes me feel only that. When listening to it I remember all that there is to remember. May it be with my dad or other memories that ive got with friends and family. Or that one moment where i shot an amazing goal in football. Maybe even the one where i was quite sad about a loss or depressed about a loss. All these memories and feelings fuse into love that i always feel when listening to that song.
Lost my best friend to suicide when I was a teenager. Also, I grew up without a father (he didn't die, he abandoned me). When I hear this, this touchs me. I remember the lonely teen I was. Had to learn a lot alone. I'm adult now, have a lovely partner. Hearing this gives a mix of sadness and happiness at the same time remembering all the stuff... Whenever you are, Pedro, hope we can meet again my old friend.
2:01 literally can't explain it but this just gives good anime ending vibes, where the journey ends peacefully, every character accomplished their objectives and somehow everything feels right. But deep down there's that melancholic nostalgia, knowing that we won't be able to see new adventures from these characters ever again.
I find it lovely that this wholesome song uses the motive that Ravel uses in "Pavane pour une infante défunte", clearly audible from 0:45 to 1:02. And then varies it glamurously. Very, very clever reference by Mr. Almeida.

França, Estados Unidos, Brasil e Japão em uma história de mais de 100 anos, it's funny how the music puts time in perspective, add a soundtrack to your life and pefect it. Whenever you are feeling blue, keep walking and we can get far.

5 months ago my Dad has died.
Why do we get that "feeling"

In many ways towards many things
