I cried uncontrollably when listening to this, yet...I was at peace and felt calm at the same time. It’s weird, I never remember hearing this song before but I felt nostalgic. It’s a beautiful feeling, one I can’t express in words. I wanted answers on why I was feeling like this. Apparently it turns out the reason why I feel this way is because my mom played this whenever I was moving too much in the womb at night and whenever she played this song (along with other songs) I calmly fell asleep. I love you mom.

“Goodbye, Anne!” Margaret said, planting a kiss on her sister’s forehead. Anne simply waved solemnly, playing with her fingers as she watched her mother give her eldest daughter a last hug before she left her childhood home. Margaret scooped up her luggage and made her way out of the door, the fresh scent of bluebells filling her nose. She gave a last wave to her mother and sister before walking to a nearby train station.
Days passed, and the Luethold Manor seemed to be as lonely as ever. The brass door handles to Margaret’s room remained untouched.
Anne tugged on her mother’s lace dress, her bright blue eyes glistening with heartache. “When will she return, mother?” Anne asked, tears threatening to spill from the corners of her eyes.
“God only knows child,” her mother paused, stroking her daughter’s hair, “that girl could be on the other side of the world by now.” She scooped up her little toddler and rested her head atop her daughters golden blonde locks. “I do believe that she’ll come back someday, for you, Anne. She loves you very much.” Tears raced down Anne’s cheeks, pooling upon her ivory silk dress. “Now, you mustn’t be upset, dear. She’ll be back before you know it, just like she told you.” she finished, wiping away tear of her own.
