Finally someone that breaks EVERYTHING DOWN, for a completely perfect RAW Diet

A lot of those meats are rare or expensive (roo, tongue, goose, brain) for a lot of people. I think doing a similar vid with more accessible meats could help draw in a larger crowd. Turkey, chicken, beef and duck maybe. All the info was great!
Oh absolutely, this is more of a balancing video for beginners more than anything else, but we do plan to release a raw feeding for beginners video based on readily available, cheaper cuts you can get locally! I did link below where I got everything and these meats are accessible for anyone :)
* Edit * here's the video for more affordable meats from your grocery store for anyone interested!!
ua-cam.com/video/nuv0VbRaD1g/v-deo.html
Haha you can get chicken hearts, beef liver, chicken brains, beef tongue, chicken wings, beef ribs, sardines, egg, yogurt, chicken feet, kidneys, spinach, beef tail, kale and some fruits and you got an affordable diet ;)
Your local international store is your friend
@@samuelmolina2830 you can buy most of those things you mentioned at under $2 a pound. Cost isn't always entierly why some don't feed raw, it's convenience.
@@_PlentyofPancakes_ It is mostly ignorance. Most people have no idea that kibble is bad for your dog. They believe they are doing whats best for them.
This dog eats better than most humans I know
Yea I'd like to eat all organic non gmo food myself but that just can't be.
What I can do is get the best quality Kibble I can and supplement it with goat milk, freeze dried raw, sardines, veggies and not much else lol
@@SXJAYSX tbh some canned food are basically raw, so that could be an option if you cant feed a balanced raw diet. Found a brand in my country where the ingridents are basically a raw meal, but with some added vitamins/minerals. ingridient list was stuff like heart, liver, stomach, pumpkin, pare, brocoli ect. No cereals or other fillers (at first glance atleast)
@@ida2300 oh yea I always add a good (from what I can tell) bit of can food along with all else.
Feeding just can alone isn't an option either couse it adds up. But I find when added all different things together with a bit of Kibble makes just work for my budget.
ua-cam.com/users/shortsA87ZnZpZAGM?feature=share
And that's not even being sarcastic.
This is awesome. I just started exploring the raw diet, and so far I have eggs, blueberries, spinach, carrots, pumpkin, whole sardines, chicken feet, chicken brain, lean ground turkey, beef round steaks, pork steaks, beef tripe, fresh apples, and homemade bone broth with 3 different meats to start with. 🙂 Definitely need to get my hands on some kelp!
I'm so glad that you mentioned veggies need to be pureed. I've seen countless raw feeding videos that do so well until they throw in whole vegetables.
On the other hand, letting the dogs chew on large woody-stalked veggies are a great way to clean teeth. Mine love thick broccoli stems. Makes their breath nice when they do!
@@indigowulf I discovered when making compost my girl likes to steal a bit of stalk and chew on it, doesn't always eat it all but likes to chew
Anyone else sit on the floor and share dinner with their dog when nobody else is home?
When my wife goes out of town to visit friends or family, I love sharing a meal with my dog. I'll cook dinner for both of us, and then we sit on a blanket in the living room, eat, watch a movie, then fall asleep cuddled up.
Don't tell my wife though
This was very helpful thank you, I'm starting my puppy on a raw diet soon and wanted to go about it in the right direction
I love this video! It got me hooked onto your fantastic channel! I've re-watched it so many times (along with your other videos) because it is just so great. Keep up the good 💪
when did you start your channel? because it really needs to be recognized more lol
A few months ago! Thank you so much for this it's really encouraging!
Word
Very good explanation, and the simplest way I've seen it explained.
this video is the perfect thing to point out as to why people don't feed raw. You throw stuff like "TEE HEE, JUST GIVE THEM 75 DIFFERENT THINGS. IT'S EASY! THIS IS BEGINNER LEVEL!" and they all freak out and stare and go "oh my god I don't know what half of this is".
Don't label this as a beginner video. This isn't a beginner video and you know it. This shuts down beginners.
While it's a lot of information, it's information that beginners need to know. I do apologize about the speed of the video - it was my first educational video and there are a lot of things I would change looking back at it.
She said in one part of this video that exotic meats aren’t absolutely necessary for the diet. And like The Primal Pack said, this video has information beginners should know before making the transition. The information she gave in this video can help someone provide their dog a balanced meal daily. I hoped this helped. :)

@@bunniesbunniesbunnie - Ok?
Finally , I video / presentation that is comprehensive. It doesn’t feel so intimidating . Thanks 😊
I'm glad it was helpful!
I had been feeding my dog a high end food for all of her 9 years which was high in oil. She developed dental disease which spread to her kidneys. Her blood panel was terrible with high BUN numbers. I have slowly started introducing raw foods to her. I gave her a raw chicken wing to eat and she loved it! I noticed a lot of tartar removed after a few crunchings on them. It is interesting to see she naturally knows how to chew it into little pieces. I never knew how vulnerable small dogs are to dental disease by feeding them these "high end" kibble foods. I also never knew how good raw meaty bones, even chicken wings, are so good for their dental health.
What “high end” kibble were you feeding?
This was so informative! Great job😁
Aw thank you!!!
Wow this video is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! thank you so much!
Amazing! Thank you!
Excellent information! Thank you so very much!
Very great video, ive been raw feeding for 3 years now, best thing ive ever done, and will not feed another animal anything but it! Great breakdown here! I learned one new thing I had no clue about, that heart and gizzards (a huge part of my baby diet) is apart of the 80%, always counted it as organs, so thank you!
I didn't know about the heart but as I was slicing it up the the term heart muscle popped in my head and my wheels started turning! 😂
Wow, thanks for being so thorough...I'm new to this and love all the options out there. Never knew a dog could have kefir! My pup has hit his golden years and I want to switch him to a raw diet.
Glad it was helpful :)
@@PawsofPrey why do you say that keifir is better than yogurt? Both kefir and yogurt are fermented dairy.
@@clobberelladoesntreadcomme9920 yogurt is made from cultured bacteria and kefir is made from kefir grains. Yogurt requires heating while kefir just has to sit at room temperature and ferment from the grains. Kefir is also a much longer fermentation process
Great details..
Thank you for the video ! I would like to say that yogurt is by definition a fermented food. I reckon that, in the US, fermentation is stopped early because Americans tend not to like the sour taste of fermented foods. But in the rest of the world, yogurt is well fermented. Those who live in the US can find very sour Bulgarian yogurt at Whole Foods.
Amazing video 😊
Ahyoka Star gets a raw grind of 1-3% heart, 10% unwashed green fatty tripe, 3% liver, 6% ground bone, 78-80% beef. Plus raw chicken feet, raw egg, sardines. Plus a home cooked food of
1 sweet potato, carrots, celery, beets, kale, spinach, green beans, parsley, ground flaxseed, quinoa, oats, 1lb ground beef, 1lbs ground pork, 1.25lb chicken liver, 1.25lbs chicken heart and gizzard. After it is cooked I add a can of mackerel, salmon, oyster, and 3-4 raw eggs. I also mix in other things that are on hand. Mix well and cool, bag up in weekly portions.
I also give her beef liver, splen, tongue, and other things when they become available. Also goats milk and I make bone broth.
With the stems and such i grind them up and add to her food. If it's a veggie that is safe for dogs to eat the stems, trimmings are ground a used.
It cost me $2.11 per meal to feed Ahyoka and it's worth every penny. Her veterinarian always goes on about how beautiful/good she looks, how healthy she is and how great her teeth are.
She rarely itchs/scratch, white teeth, and never smells.
Im glad i feed a mostly raw diet.
I just found your channel and I love it! I've always wanted to feed raw and make it completely balanced for my dog and cat who are both 2 almost 3 years old. But my biggest fear was making it up balanced and hurting them or making them sick because of missing an important vitamin or mineral. You've eased my fears on that I would love to reach out to you to ask you a few questions sometime! Thank you again!
Liver us a superfood and will suffice their nutritional needs just don’t give it everyday
@@makejihyomainvocalistagain9217 - Liver should usually make up around 5% of a raw meal daily. Although this may be different depending on the dog.
I love feeding raw. Planning to add a few whole prey items to my dog's meal. My dog also really like sardines and eggs. Nice video
Don't feed raw meat it will give them parasites! Feed them raw vegetables only
Both of my boys LOVE sardines and raw eggs (shell and all)
What a great video! How do you get those frozen vegetable puree paws? I've been seeing them a lot
Honestly I have a dog and I love her to pieces. I was love to feed her the kind of meal but unfortunately we do not have the money for that. I do make sure to give her a raw egg with her cup of kibble though! When I’m living in my own I’m going to raw feed my dog/dogs so they live a luxury life! Thank you for the video!
Great content, beautifully presented, but would have liked a voice over :) Keep it up!
OMG so cute at the end with cat and dog kisses, they really seem to live each other!!!
me who doesn’t have a dog: ah yes ill need this
very cool to just learn though!
Can you make a video on puppy raw food diet? And what would the portions look like. I can't imagine that this whole bowl was just one serving.
It's up! ua-cam.com/video/Zb5iwD3H-eg/v-deo.html
The Primal Pack when would the puppy video be up? 😊 keen to see it too
Could you pls do a vid where show like a few different recipes and what ingredients go in they it would mean the world to me
Great guidance. I found a fabulous raw provider in CT that serves New England. Over 80 products and prices are the best I have found. Top dog food and supply.
I really enjoy your videos. What about using carrots and broccoli, some fruits?
Thabk you this is very educational. May I blend everything since my dog is so picky??
You can, but if you plan on feeding fish, you may want to keep that out of the blend and feed separately. Many fish contain thiaminase which basically cancels out the thiamine in other meats if stored or mixed together.
Can you make a video on feeding a raw diet to puppies for beginners? Please and thank you 💓
I plan to :)
This video is super helpful! How often do you feed her per day?
Thanks! Matsu eats once a day usually. Sometimes he will eat twice a day (meal split up) but often times he isn't as hungry in the morning

I have a Lab/German Shepard mix and a Pomeranian/Terrier mix. I’m just trying to figure out what else I need to incorporate into their diet to make it more “balanced.”
For example, today they had: ground beef, turkey necks, chicken heart, gizzards, boiled spinach, 1 sardine each, chicken feet, and a raw egg w/ half of its shell…
Thoughts?
My dog for breakfast today had raw egg yolk, Alaskan king salmon, raw hamburger. So so happy
Why am I hungry? That looks really delicious, came here out of curiosity and now I think I'm gonna make myself a meat bowl. I'm gonna cook it though.
Here from Raleigh's channel!
Hello! :)
can you do a video on raw feeding for senior dogs? like with joint problems, low energy output, etc?
It's something I plan to make in the future for sure!
What do you recommend as substitutes for some of the meats you can't find at you local market 🤔
Where do you buy the veggie molds? Can dogs eat pork? Thx
This mostly scared me into not wanting to raw feed because it's to easy to overlook something and totally mess you dogs digestion up.
Yea I’m having the same issue, my dogs have been on raw diets for a while but I get worried thinking I’m giving them too much of something or too little of something else
It’s midnight and I should be sleeping but I’m doing a lot of research now so I’ll reply to you in a few days and explain it in an easier way
But for now u can feed ur dog kibble and just add in something different everyday, that way he’ll be getting what he needs and a little something extra
I want to start my 4month old puppy on raw diet and this video was great to see but I have one question. If I am mimicking the whole prey diet just the way you did on the finished bowl. I feed that to my dog 3-4 times a day the exact same way or do I split it throughout the day? that’s what I am confused on. Hopefully you get my concern! So really I’m saying is that my dogs bowl will be that filled up 3-4 times a day ?
AMAZING VIDEO!!! thank you, all these years I've been feeding my dogs kibles. Everyone tells me dogs can't eat meat ect but I could tell that they are not happy so I started researching. I'm glad I found this video. What about the vets that say those bones puncture dogs insides? I don't want to hurt my dogs. What about puppies? Can I feed same thing?
I am still researching, puppies can eat raw but each and every meal needs to be balanced for growth and development, so if you aren't sure you can make each meal balanced with vitamins and minerals as well as the meat/bone/veg, it could be worth looking at supplements that balance a meal or a meal base you add to meat to make sure it is balanced. Seek a dog nutritionist if not sure or holistic vet.
@@foggylog19 ok thank you so much.
where or how do you get the green little veggie thing that you added to the bowl?
Thank you so much, after my dog switched to raw he lost 15 pounds and stopped getting ear infections.
I'm so happy to hear that!!
Thank you for this comment. My dog is 10lbs over weight and gained half a pound in the past 4 months. I'm starting to gradually switch her over.
Really nice to see more and more animals benefiting off of the raw diet! :)
How would you recommend to feed a puppy a raw food diet ? Love your videos
I do plan to make a puppy video! But in the meantime: tinyurl.com/y6bhpveh
I want to start feeding my dog a homemade diet but I am scared of giving him raw meat due to the risk of infection. I know that heat destroys some of the vitamins and denatures unsaturated fatty acids. What modifications would I need to make (like adding a bit of olive oil) to balance the meal if I served what you showed in this video cooked ?
so we have a large property and rabbits used to be raised here. If we start doing this it looks as though we can leave the fur on the rabbit? And what about sweet potato, etc. Is this good? I raise lots of vegis and can give the ground kale, spinach, etc.
Do you have any sample raw diet recommendations for Toy Australian Shepherds? My pup is 7 months old now. Hates his kibble and LOVES meat.
How do you do the math to figure out whats missing. I calculated my dogs daily intake and mineral/vitamin needs but how do I know what gets checked off and whats missing in a recipe?
I pretty much have the raw part down, I’m struggling with supplementing, however.
Also, my dogs will not eat raw fish, frozen or thawed. Anyone have any tips? I’ve only tried smelts and another fish I don’t remember the name of. So the door is completely wide open for fish lol
How is this for beginners?? So much info
Yea.... Try doing that for 11 dogs. I'd love to but it's too expensive and time consuming. I've resorted to finding the best kibble I can adding bone broth and the shredded cooked meat (if simmered for long enough the bone content can be mashed up any shards must get removed so I do this by hand) and veggies plus Bragg's unfiltered apple cider vinegar a dehydrated base by Dr Harvey. Extra taurine for my doberman puppy. And even this is time consuming and expensive for 11 dogs.
What a beautiful bowl. Is it weird that I’m jealous?
are puppies able to have a raw diet if so how much would they be eating?
Once a day? (Great vid, thanks!)
My dog have good stool with barf .. but one day when i got new bone grind very smooth mix my dog have running stool... is that normal?
I've been meaning to transition my pup into raw meat diet but I can't seem to know how to start. I've been doing research and I keep getting different answers on whether it is safe to feed your dog human grade meat (because of pathogens such a salmonella). Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hello! Human grade meats are definitely safe to feed because it's inspected specifically for the safety of humans! Salmonella does not affect dogs like it does humans. The dog's digestive system is short and lacks complexity for the sole purpose of digesting raw meat and getting it through quickly so pathogens can't affect them. I would use perfectlyrawsome.com as a guide to transition your pup :) they have great info for beginners and it's very user friendly!
Do they have to be frozen or can we thaw it out then give to them
Can u grind all that up and prep it for the week?
Where do you get all of this?!!
Your dog looks soooo happy so eagerly attacking that delicous food clearly living his life to the fullest and funnest wow inspiring
All raw diet dogs live the saddest most depressed looking lives ever
What size dog are you feeding all that too? And is that 1 meal a day?
is it possible for me to substitute boney meats for something else??
Would you recommend a white wine… perhaps Chardonnay, or a red wine, maybe Chianti with a meal such as this?
😂👍
Where can i get this stuff from??i wanna start my dog on raw foods
How would you transition this tho, my dog is 3years old and has never ate anything raw
Where do you get ground goose and kangaroo
Great video, but whew! That was a lot of information for my brain. Do you have knowledge on a specific approach I could use for transitioning my 6 year old Newfie/Great Pyr mix. He is 116ibs. If I did the math correctly, that would be 42.60oz a day? He recently started getting horrible skin allergies partly due to the fact that we moved to middle Tennessee AKA pollen central, but I'm also worried about his health declining with dry food. I honestly think this is the best bet for him. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Hi! I guess my advice is to watch more of my videos, and read blog articles from perfectlyrawsome.com and rawpetsrule.com ! Rawsome has a good transition guide, and I made a video on transitioning as well: ua-cam.com/video/6vKC3H7WOcE/v-deo.html
I have no idea where l could buy half that stuff in uk
Im trying to supplement my dogs and the rest of my family's diet with as much free, foraged, caught/hunted. Are bull frogs safe for dogs to eat? Crawfish? These are things I'm able to fish for free completely without a license. Can dogs eat most seafood? I live on the coast and near a forest so resources are plentiful I'm just a little nervous about what dogs can and cannot or should and shouldn't eat...
So we make all our own food for our dogs but I have a hard time with the Malti-Poo and the Husky eating the same way. The Malti seems to like more veggies and will finish up the plate of the Husky and the Husky gets so bored. I do fear uncooked food for the Malti. Do you believe a raw food diet can work for all breeds?
My question is, is this one meal or the only meal? What if I feed my 18 lb senior twice a day ? Break a meal like this into two? Or a whole other meal like this?
The dog didn't even want to eat it at the beginning of the video lol
lol, he was trying to, but I had it out of reach purposefully.
Can I feed a single protein at a time ? Yet still switching proteins from time to time?
I've fed my 20 month old GSD Instint brand dog food all his life and just recently started feeding raw meats (chicken, beef ,salman and raw eggs) daily. Is this healthy and balanced?
Do you have recommendations for which vegetables to add to a veggie cube?
Also, how much kelp powder, vitamin E, and yogurt do you give for an adult dog?
I typically only have access to kidney as a secreting organ (in addition to liver), is it ok to be mainly feeding these two organs?
Sorry for all the questions! Thank you!
Hey look into "house of wrinkles" for help. I've been in touch with them and the are super nice people.
Leave that egg shell in the pan! Great source of calcium, my dogs love whole eggs!
We already feed our cats raw, but my husband doesn't feel comfortable feeding our dogs raw... I know it doesn't make any sense. Would I be able to do a home cooked diet with 80% muscle meat, 10% organs including liver, and maybe add eggshell calcium? And then other things to fill the other nutritional gaps. I just wonder how much the nutrients will be cooked out versus feeding raw...
How do I know how much to feed my golden retriever based on weight? Is it possible to do this on $100 per month?
I need to leave my dog with just my son and husband and they are not familiar with feeding raw and I KNOW they will make a mess. Can you recommend a few “sound” kibble?
Hi! I have a senior dog and he’s always been feed kibble. I was wondering how safe is it to transition a senior dog to a raw diet or a kibble and raw diet. Thank you
Good just do it properly. I switched my rott to raw/barf diet in his last year. He really enjoyed it, died at 13 years old

Thanks for such informative video. My puppy is coming home in 2 weeks and I was so nervous on changing her food from kibble to raw. But I'm sure with your channel I can get there.
Quick questions for you..
What's the substitute for fur?
What's your recommendation on food transition.
Please let me know
Awww I'm glad we were able to help! For puppies, they can be switched cold turkey! No transition necessary. This is what I did with Matsu too. My advice to you is to offer chunks your puppy can chew, but don't be surprised if your pup doesn't understand them at first. I had to blend matsu's meals up for a few weeks. Secondly puppies need a complete and balanced diet when growing, so include the muscle meat, liver, other organ, and raw meaty bone every day, and start incorporating what I mentioned for balancing completely as soon as you can. Finally, I would start out with one protein source at first and work up to adding in more slowly. A sample meal being chicken neck, chicken liver, chicken spleen (ok you may not be able to find that, so whatever other secreting organ you can find is fine) chicken heart, chicken breast. Then after a week or so and you've confirmed there's no allergy to the protein, add in another, and so on. If you have questions along the way we are on instagram, just send me a DM :)
