Lukaku is a player you need to have a specific style of play to benefit from, but if you want to play a certain way, if it isn't his style, he is incapable of adapting. Lots of talent but never got the sense it would work out at Chelsea.
Scoring goals is easier in Italy? That’s a first. Never heard players say that. If anything I’ve heard Ronaldo say Italy was the toughest league to score in. Also, it’s clear as day. Italians play a slower tempo, more organized defensively. Why would anyone conclude it’s easier to score there? Ask Salah who scored 14 at Roma and 6,789 at Liverpool.

Oh and Lukaku’s best season was in PL not Serie A (Everton). Nice try.

There is no way on this earth Inter are going to pay a 20m loan fee and his full wages. It was reported back in March that Chelsea still owe 70m to Inter for the Lukaku deal and I think the best option would be for him to join Inter and for them to waive the remaining balance owed or at least good portion of it. Another alternative would be to let him join Inter and for us to be able to sign Martinez or Skrinrar in return. I don't think any club would pay a 20m loan fee and its not a good deal for Chelsea to loan out Lukaku who is 29 years old unless there is a mandatory fee for Inter to sign him after the loan is finished as his value will only drop year after year. If Chelsea can some how manage to salvage at least half of what they paid for Lukaku than that would be decent.

Liverpool were much stronger than Roma, way more attacking, with a system that exploited Salah's abilities, so that was a moot point. The Prem is stronger, there's no doubt about it. If you watched both leagues, you'd be well aware of it.

So in a direct head to head between the two teams in question, it was pretty much a dead heat.

Chelsea still owe Inter Millions. They never paid 97m in one go. Havertz was paid for in 3 lots of 25m. Chelsea are owed 100m for players sales last summer and lost 120m. Inter M made huge losses and sold Lukaku cos they needed the money.
