In 2000, the International Women's Media Foundation honored Marie Colvin's exceptional courage as a war correspondent with its Courage in Journalism Award. Veteran journalist Mike Wallace (CBS, 60 Minutes) presented to Award to Colvin in New York on October 10, 2000.

I just discovered this lady, she was amazing to do the job she did and you can tell she held it very close to herself. She was so brave to go back time and again and put her own life in danger to tell people's stories. Such an inspiration and even her speech is quiet emotional at times but she tells their stories without fail, god bless her and may she rest in peace.
