Casio has always been a go to brand for anyone looking for a no nonsense, budget friendly watch and this watch really takes it up a notch with the design functions, dimensions, weight and overall aesthetics. I think this model is going to be a winner as well. The blue tooth connectivity and that barely there super light weight is definitely appealing! You’re always on point with your presentation and analysis. 🥃
I believe people aren't referring to the casio brand itself, rather that Gshocks are a separate product line to standard non-Gshock casio watches. It's namesake really, all Gshocks are casio's, but not all casio's are Gshocks! There is a difference that allows comparison, albeit a lot of channels use dramatized words like "killed/killer" to attract views.
to me its more of a "hey, this budget casio is so good, u dont need to get a gshock" kinda thing but a bit more dramatized. perhaps just to convey that this is as good as a gshock. of course a gshock is more rugged and tough, but if anyone wants a good tough watch at a more friendly budget, this is a good option. dont take it too literally. they just trying to convey that the watch is really good is all, n gshock is really up there in the ladder if not at the top, so its usually the standard ppl compare to. have a good day
Definitely tempted by this one. Looks really purposeful on wrist. BTW - your video quality is particularly high level, and that is important to me when assessing a new purchase. Thanks.
What I would like to mention about this watch is the fact that, unlike traditional smart watches, it saves energy and the screen turns off at night. Within six days, if the watch remains stationary, the current time is activated by pressing either one button or wearing the particular watch. And it is the first time that such a thing has happened in a watch with a battery. Also for the friend who mentions that casio watches can't be compared to other smart watches I have to say that the philosophy of the company is different. There are Casio watches that cost even 4000 dollars and with technology that no company can even think of that they exist. The Japanese can make anything and believe me they have no problem.
A great watch some snobs may overlook. A great recommendation. I like your videos a lot. You show both the nicest mechanical watches and more affordable quartz(and mechanical) too.
I bought this watch because I wanted an affordable everyday bluetooth watch to sync with my phone so I don't have to change the time manually. This watch does the job perfectly!
Good looking watch, slim profile, step tracker, BT at an affordable price of $50 (here in India). This watch has everything going for it ! I’m certainly tempted, but I already have G-Squads (GBD-800, GBA-800 and GBD-200) and I’m in two minds !
Nice timely review for me! Citizen Promaster Land buy was messed up by PayPal so that made me reconsider. Not only the watch but PayPal which I'm in the process of closing out. I decided the Citizen was a no buy because of the fake screw downs and the price. Decided on the Casio Rangeman because of the versatility and getting automatic time resolution plus solar but the thickness was a big negative. Problem solved by the G Shock killer which, in this case, it really is. The thinness and Bluetooth connectivity plus the usual Casio features made this the choice. I can live without solar! The price pretty much makes it a no brainer choice. I had bought an interim Casio Illuminator for $28.50 which has delighted me and reminded me of how pleasing it is to have a watch that doesn't constantly remind you of its weight. Thanks for the review!
I think you said it wrong. Patek Cubitus looks like a Casio. This came first before release of Cubitus. Cubitus is merely a homage to multiple designs exit before its existence.
Bought one on Amazon. Got it for INR 3100 ($37.00 ) . I have a Samsung watch 4 classic and tired of charging it daily. No more " smart" watches for me. I am a big casio fan and been using one or the other since 1986
I quite enjoyed the video, but I would just avoid things like "g-shock killer". It's clickbaity and sounds like a somewhat a lazy argument. G-shocks are their own thing and this watch has its own identity.
These proportions are certainly an aquired taste. But the step counter and BT connectivity will sway a lot of customers. Btw. props for that shirt in the b-roll. Free 🍉!
Step counter accuracy is fairly good while walking but while travelling by bus/car it count extra steps and that's not the issue I guess because even the apple watch count extra steps while driving. You can also connect with bluetooth and record the path in mobile maps using gps while walking/running. Other than that, this watch size is small and looks great and fits perfectly on a small and medium wrist.
Casio should keep the price of their watches realistic. These 80s style grey LCD displays digital watches with resin bands and case doesn't cost them $3 to make. I would pay $60 for digital watch with MIP display but not for that.
The question is,..how accurate is it in terms of step counting. Watches can vary greatly with regards to this which if not correct makes it pretty much useless

For $60 you can buy a Galaxy Fit 3 smart band, which has all the essential features of a smartwatch you'd need and that would be considered "Sci-fi" compared to any G-shock. None of the Casio watches is a "smartwatch killer", honestly, anyone who thinks any Casio can replace a smartwatch don't know what they are talking about. I say this as a proud owner of the DW-H5600. That watch is 5 times more expensive than my Galaxy Fit 3 and it has 1/50th of its features. Casio is for Casio fans (me included), but speaking objectively, comparing it to any smartwatch is laughable to say the least

Well described!
It's a solid brand to pick no matter the collection status in my opinion! :)
Cheers!
I never understand “Casio killed GShock” titles. Casio owns GShock!

Just play along
Agreed. It is a bit silly.
😂😂😂😂😂 yes bro me 2

Thanks for another great video. Casio is coming out with so many budget banners that you don't have to spend a lot unless you really want to.
I ordered this last night because of your video. Thank you.

I think this is really cool, kudos to Casio! Thanks for the review

Just got this and thank u for the overview! Not a lot of reviews on this so thx!
I bought this watch because I wanted an affordable everyday bluetooth watch to sync with my phone so I don't have to change the time manually. This watch does the job perfectly!
Complimenti come sempre per il bel video e naturalmente per il bellissimo orologio ❤
Grazie! :)
I had this watch, but I sold it because it didn’t track steps accurately. It counted 4k extra steps compared to my smartwatch and the Pacer app.

LOL that negative display is so bad yo probably didn't even notice hahaha 😂
Haha! Yes! The case is symmetrical as well :)))
Going for the Iron Man, great one from Casio :D
Thanks for the video.
Cheers! :)
That's a great watch for the price, I'm just sad they didn't go for 20mm lugs. Excellent video as always, and empty pockets too 👍😁😎
First I heard of it, thanks
Looks great. Thanks!
Cheers!
When people are saying MAMACOO is a better option for buying a watch,I very much agree!
what's the brand of your polo? nice fit. :) but of coz, the content is great as usual. :)
I'm a sucker for Casio's (I own 10!) and this looks like it may well be the next!
Fine vid Andrei
Just got one thanks to you!
Got it for $43new!
love your shirt. 🍉
Cheers! :)
Does this show your steps on screen as well? Or just in the app on phone?
It shows steps on watch screen as well.
Looks like Patek Cubitus 😮

Did you mean to hold the white one upside down? That was funny :)

Can you measure the accuracy of step counter
Step counter accuracy is fairly good while walking but while travelling by bus/car it count extra steps and that's not the issue I guess because even the apple watch count extra steps while driving.

Those misaligned screws tho, Hublot quality! 😂 Love this new model, might have to cop one

It is nicknamed…wait, wait a minute…wait…Cubitusio

But will it run for 2 years without charging... ??? Casio's are more for people like me who don't want to charge daily
Whats the battery life?. and does it have standard time, day month.not US month day.
