Meike, I can tell you from personal experience that there is a real satisfaction in taking a log and forming it into something useful. Hope your having a great day. Thanks for Sharing!
I absolutely agree 👍
Meike, this is such a pleasant surprise 😊A new video from you on Tuesday is just the boost I need to get out and do a bit of yard work 😃
Always a pleasure to hear from you. This week is double the fun. I will be back on Friday
Not even Friday. Now this is a very special day!
It’s twice the fun this week 😉 from now on, on occasion, I will post a additional video on Tuesdays. Maybe tool reviews or something else that’s more simple to film than a whole built, which takes me days 😊👍
That chainsaw sliced the wood like a knife through butter, battery powered tools have deffo come a long way.
Yes, but also keep in mind that the wood was a soft wood. I haven’t tried the chainsaw on hardwood 💪👍🪵 it definitely a good addition for smaller projects
Looks very capable for your use, lighter, quiter and maneuverability. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Thank you for watching Norm. Yes it is much lighter which is great 👍
Hi Meike! I've been impressed with the effort you're putting into sprucing up the "new" place! These new yard tools will definitely help you level the "playing field!" Keep pushing those fluids in that hot sun!!! 😘
To work with chainsaws ist my Favorit Job. Climb up n the tree with purse n the savety lanyard. I like this gardenjob.🥰👌🏽
I love that 😁👍
Meike thanks for the great tool review you have got me on board to try them out have a great rest of the week be safe 💕🌻🌼
Thanks, you too!
Good job MS Meike beautifully done
Thank you Vince!
That looks like maybe it could be a Cypress stump 😎 Excellent Tool Review ! 👍👍
😇❤
I will look for more clues, that would be nice 👍
wow that badger weed eater devoured that grass. Way better than my electric.
blah that sucks Badger Chainsaw takes different batteries than the Badger garden tools. I want electric tools that all take the same battery.
I get it, the weed eater takes two 20volt, the chainsaw a 40volt. But I was impressed with the weed eater too. Plus it does have the pole saw which uses all the same battery
Muy buenas herramientas meike, que bueno que las probaste!!! Sos una crack, bella amiga!!!!
Thank you for watching! See you Friday
The second I started to wonder what those spots were on your shirt, you mentioned it. At first I thought it was part of the shirt pattern.
I hope you had plenty of water near by.
I am guessing that your local hardware store never gets tired of you stopping by. :)
Yea it’s sooo humid, my shirts get soaked so quickly all the time. 😬☀️
Nice jeans ❤
Thank you! 😊
Awesome work 👏
Thanks ✌️
@@WhatMeikeMakes You welcome.
Wow. That was some great tools. I love that you puch for all the battery powered tools you have.. ;) he he he... Nice going... have a great time playing sith power...
Glad you like my tools ⚒️
Meike, I like the new battery powered tools that were sent to you by Badger! It appears that those battery powered tools operate as efficiently as their gasoline bretheran!
I am a huge fan and love the Lowe's Home Center "(Kobalt)" Branded battery powered tools, and have been for nearly ten years!
Well done, Meike!
That’s good to hear Robert. Have a great week 😊 and see you Friday
Super video Meike👍
Thank you so much!
Good morning and nice video Meike. Have fun with the new toys
Good morning, have a great day 😊
That is a nice tool ,i am using the kobalt 40 v line myself, but I also have gas equipment
That’s great 👍
Buena demostración de esas herramientas para jardin. Gracias hermosa jardinera... Y artista ❤💪🏻🖐🏼
Thanks for watching!!
It's very pretty the color of that wood, you only see similar trees, in places near the ocean, looks like tropical kind ;)
I agree, its a very nice color and pattern
Awesome video looking good 😊
Thank you so much Marcus! See you Friday 👍
I've used both gas and electric tools. I think they both have their advantages. Which one is "better" probably varies from person to person. I think I'd prefer the electric chainsaw and multi-tool. But I'd rather stick with the gas powered string trimmer. The wood you're cutting looks very pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make from it.
I can only agree! 👍 it very much also depends on the size of the job. I really love the battery operated string trimmer since it’s so light and I can turn it on and off when I have to move items to mow underneath.
¡uau!¡ que bueno!
👍😊
¡gracias por tu corazón!🥇
Great sponsor sending you some demo tools. You can run vegetable oil as lubricant if you want a quick and easy option. Last but not least have a great day 🤓😎can't wait until Friday to see what you come up with.
I never knew! That’s a great tip, thank you Darren !
Hallo Meike super Video Danke 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Danke Roland!
Wow, the tools are quiet. Even with your background music in the video you can hear how quiet they are. Ideal for small jobs and on the fly swapping. I would love to see more of these tools and see how the batteries hold up. Gas is always better, but the secret to them is to NOT use regular(low grade) octane in them even when it requires mixed fuel. Another mistake people make is keeping the gas for to long. Thats very bad for engines. The one you tried to start looked like an Eco brand... I prefer the Stihl brand. They are hard to beat. Great video as always and looking forward to more use of these tools. Perhaps trying to carve that stump with the chain saw and make a sculpture lol
Hi Kevin, I couldn’t agree more, the fact that the tool heads/attachments can be easily swapped out is the best fact. Also when I have to move something real quick, I just turn off the machine and right back on. Stihl are great, no question about that.
I’ve always used that premixed fuel for my tools. But especially when they are hot 🥵 it’s impossible to turn them back in after a quick break
Palmetto, honey locust, elephant ear, bay tree... I always thought your shop was in some cold Scandanavian country!!!
Without smelling that sawdust it's hard to say, but it looks like either an old juniper or cypress rootball.
So many options.. I really can’t pin point it
Actually I think you got it right with one of the options you gave me! I’m 99 percent sure it an elephant ear tree. I got a lot of those on the property and they grow super fast. I looked at older pictures of the property and there were some that have been cut down since. So I’m sure that’s the left overs of that tree 👍💪
@@WhatMeikeMakes I'm very curious to see what you're going to make, whatever that stump is 😁. And I'm a little bit jealous that you can break a sweat this time of year - it was cold and wet wet wet here today and it was nice to know there is sun and heat in the world somewhere! 🤣😂
Oh Meike: if you make your way trough the jungle, may be behind the next bush you meet King Kong :-))) Shure, then you make friends to each other :-))
haha, 🤣🤣💪🪵
I love Meike ❤
Hi Jarisson! Thank you for stopping by again 😊
It's been so hot and humid down here in the last week even the iguanas are sweating.🦎😅 And it's not even Summer yet!
Yes, it’s been super hot 🥵 but that’s Florida. In the end it’s better hot than cold in my opinion
@@WhatMeikeMakes Oh definitely! Because beaches.
Very nice pants.
Thanks 👍
Oh! We get an extra Friday this week!
Yes there will be another video on Friday 😊 double the fun this week
I'm slowly switching to battery powered tools outside and in my shop. They are more reliable and start when needed as long as the batteries are charged :) My problem with the gas-powered ones, is that I don't start them often enough to keep them running smooth and the local small engine shops can't get parts or won't take them in. So, my only gas-powered outdoor tool is a John Deer Zero Turn mower, everything has been replaced with battery power.
I’m kinda in the same route… I’m replacing a few tools that make sense to have battery operated
i for one, love a woman who sweats. it tells me she works as hard as any mam. (CHIC'C RULE) in my book.
Lots of sweat here 😉☀
The value of this company will be found in the quality of their batteries. You will have the answer by next summer.
I like that 👍
I'm a small engine mechanic, so I am biased towards gas, but... I do have several battery tools as well. They are great when you don't use them all the time and only for short periods. But... like you said, you will need extra batteries if you use them for longer periods. Batteries cost $$$ and they still need to be charged, so there is still good reason to use gas as well. I don't mind the choice at all, but I do hate the battery is being FORCED on us and gas is being phased out. 🤷♂ Neither is a one-size fits all solution.
Oh I get you on that. I agree that each has its purpose. If you have larger jobs gas is the way to go. For smaller areas and placed where you have to turn it on and off because there are items to move battery is the way to go 👍 also it’s much lighter.
Meike I almost cried when I saw you cut the roots off that stump. Wasn’t it all full of grit, gravel and dirt? At least on Friday you can have a chain resharpening video.
Oh no, I live in Florida remember. There is just sand everywhere. No gravel. And I brushed that off beforehand 👍😉
My wife's granddad had a heart attack trying to start an engine with a cord. He never recovered. I need a gardener, Meike, can you come?
Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that 😔
❤❤❤ sempre bellissima e bravissima sei il 🔝👏👏👏💪💪💪🤩🤩🤩🥰🌹❤️🌹
Thank you so much Luca!
@@WhatMeikeMakesgrazie a te per il video sei speciale e bellissima 🌹🌹🌹😘😘🔝🔝❤️
Tree looks to be a Pond Cypress
It's not it. I made a video using the wood and talking about what kind it is. It's one of my more recent ones where I made Bottle openers with resin
Beautiful princessa Meike super video super fantastic Meike l love you princessa 😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗💋💋💋💖💖💖💏👍👍👏👏
Thank you 🤗
the machine say, no leggins, no run 🤪
👍
I'd only go with battery or corded tools.
👍😁
It looks a lot like Mahoghany
That would be nice but it feels too soft for that
shes so funny
😜👍 thanks
Bonjour Meike. Bonne continuation. Amitiés. Olivier.
Hi Olivier. Thanks for your comment. The bees are doing great, producing lots of honey. Still a learning curve for me but I will get there 👍 have a great week and see you on Friday 😊
Did you find out what kind of wood that was?
Yes I did! I will make a video about it once I have an idea what to make out of it 👍😁
Make sure all dirt is off wood your cutting it will dull chain really quick.
👍👍
Meike, gas engine tools if proper manteinment, should start in 3 or 4 strokes...I get my best experiences, also starting them at the top of the tree after watching lots of videos about fuel mixing and good tips about the starting tricks...never suffer anymore. Nice place you have there! I love garden works. Greetings from Argentina
Yes it’s always a hit and miss with mine and they get very heavy and hot after a while. Plus once they are hot and I take a quick break it’s impossible to turn them back on 😬 best wishes and thanks for stopping by
@@WhatMeikeMakes In a while I'll make a video when I started my machines...maybe it helps :-) (past years with the same stuff I sometimes make more than 50 strokes and nothing...now I feel that I learned the lesson :-) Greetings!
All the extra batteries add up to hundreds of dollars, and this is why petrol is better. That chainsaw won’t cut the tree stump, only takes small bits off. I wish it wasn’t like that, but in 2024 it still is.
You will need the batteries, that’s correct. It’s a great saw for smaller projects. For larger ones you will definitely need more than a 40volt chainsaw
Yes you are correct..the way Meike used the battery powered saw she only cut small bits off.. it would indeed cut bigger diametre pieces when used correctly👍💪🥰 it's not the tool, it's how you use it😂😂😂 some of my stone masonary tools are cheap, yet because i know that I make allowances for them and still get a superb finish to my stone carving.. even while doing letter carving.
Same thing with my €99 Lidl battery chainsaw, know it's limits and away you go gently gently..
Lifes not about doing things as fast as possible, it's about being comfortable and relaxed in what you are doing no matter what. Battery power is so much gentler and quieter❤❤❤❤
@@WhatMeikeMakesyours are perfect for most jobs..😊 just gently gently a piece at a time❤
😍😍😍😍😍
😊👍
Wow meike you are an angel sweet Lady 🧚♀️🧚♀️♥️♥️very great video great work meike 💪🙏🌲🪓👍thank you so much sweet and beautiful meike Lady 😘💋💍😻🌹💐😍♥️🥰beautiful meike ❤❤
Thank you so much 🤗
Thank you sweet meike 😘😻♥️🥰💐@@WhatMeikeMakes
For me personally I still don't fully trust Battery operated garden tools. They may work great for the first few times you use them but when the batteries needs replacing the battery usually cost more than the tool itself. Same with power tools. You can buy the drill, saw or router nice and cheap but the batteries always cost a small fortune.
I feel you on that. I have some battery operated tools that work great and others I’ve had issues over the years. Let’s see where those tools take me. So far so good 👍
Veio mais cedo essa semana 🤔
It’s an extra video. I still have my usual Friday video coming out
@@WhatMeikeMakes 👍
I'd be so happy if I could work with you Meike, does you need a helper? My pay will be your company❤
Thanks for the offer 👍
@@WhatMeikeMakes I'll be waiting your answer!( Don't get me wrong, i'll be happy if my pay is spend my time with you and learn from the best carpenter i've seen)
A battery is equivalent to a tank of gas, so packing a dozen batteries for a days work is out. You can’t beat the energy stored in fossil fuels.
👍
Meika you could have doubled your views and included one of those see through wet dry try- on clothes videos !; 😂😂
🙄
we dont mind the sweat stain🤤
😉
Maybe try the chainsaw on a fresh piece of oak...not that rotted out soft stump
👍

_"... 100% humidity ..."_
Yeah.
Apology accepted,
but I think you should respect
humidity way more
than this.
If you make your shirt
all wet
the sweat spots
won't have a
chance.
😂👍
Sorry it's not a Stihl Chainsaw! It is the best.
I can’t argue
unless you're a pro, doing heavy work, all day, every day, there's not much reason to get gas tools in this day and age unless you're strapped for cash, and can only get an ancient, used tool... but then you're going to squander the savings getting it into working order, most likely so... 🤷♀
Just did a little research I believe that is red gum almost identical in look to Walnut
That sounds amazing, I will look for more clues
You are my dream wife queen ❤️ 👸
😊
Hope your wearing steel toes. Good job. Impressive
Yep, those are steel toe shoes 👠
