Fantastic Ben, I hope to be doing some flying with Aeros soon thanks in part to your videos. I hope your managing well and keeping up your skills 👍🏼
Good luck with starting with Aeros!
So entertaining buddy that DA42 was really going some loved the birminghm radar bit too!!
BHX were great giving us a radar service, I wasn’t keen on flying without one!
@@PlaneOldBen Nessecary as you where at airline speeds 🤣
Great vid as always Ben 👍🏻
Thank you very much!
great landing mate under such bad weather :D
Thank you!
could you make any video about how to manage money by doing part time job. what to do and what not to do.. please..how many flight hours have you achieved.??
Good video, nice editing. Thanks for sharing your training!
Thanks a lot, Will! Good luck with your PPL.
Great video Ben!
Thanks a lot buddy!
Loved this one! Great video mate.
Thanks Sam, great to see you flying the Cub again!
*19:15** Nice Landing*
It was a fluke!
yeah, it was a but floaty but nevertheless 100,50,40,30,20,10 RETARD 5 BUTTTERRRRR!
Still can't believe you can fly IFR without a traffic service, in Australia it's VFR or IFR with traffic service theres no in-between.
That’s really interesting! We were on a procedural service which covers IFR traffic following the instrument approaches procedures, any other traffic in the area IFR should call Gloucester and then the controller can deconflict, albeit without a radar. You’ll notice on the way back I wanted to get a radar service as soon as possible which Birmingham gave us.
Nice flight Ben, just a shame about the shocking weather.
Fred Scratchet nothing like a good IMC day
It certainly made for some interesting training!
Didn't know about this channel... i'll keep an eye out for a DA42 next time i hear a plane out there, since i'm living pretty close to Coventry airfield.
Thank you!
Hey that's my neck of the world, I live 2mi from the main runway at Staverton ( Gloucestershire airport ), I live right on the flight path 👍
Awesome!
Nice crosswind landing Ben, right on the centre line, thanks for posting
Thank you Steve, it certainly was a blustery flight back!
Ben
Love your videos I have followed them through my and now my IMC which I hope to complete in a few weeks. I was thinking about buying. Would you buy a da42 or a cirrus sr22 g6?
Cirrus all the way!
Legend.
Great to see you Ben and great to see the flying videos again you're an awesome pilot. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you ? 🙂
In my 20s.
@@PlaneOldBen
Ok thanks I was just curious 🙂 I am also in my 20's. Keep up the great work !
Plane Old Ben I think you are 24?
Ben, do you prefer the Diamond or Cirrus? Thanks
Cirrus!
Love the Da42. Look like a spaceship
Haha it’s really nice to fly!
The DA42 has a special place in my heart. Not the fastest but oh so forgiving, economical and in my opinion, rather sexy. Got my MEP/IR in it 9 years ago and I miss those days now... Airlines are good and all, but theres something about planning your own route and flying it. Good vid!
I really enjoyed this course!
What sim is that?
It looks way better than MSFS2020
It’s real life lad.
Plane Old Ben damn is it on steam?
Nice work. I saw a DA42 just below the clouds flying over Swindon the other day, similar conditions. Rather him than me I thought.
Haha I’m sure it would’ve been a lovely trip for them!
Pretty sure that’s Simon Collins on the 196 flight... it’s from the city for sure with a 38 mile straight in on 15! Miss those days 🙁 cracking vid bud
Haha those were the days indeed!
Great video mate, love the DA42. How do you explain the big IAS variations? Is it because of wind gradients?
It was very gusty 😂
Woow great landing 👍 can I ask what kind of table you have on tour knees? I fly DA40 and my knee pad is on the way. This table looks more useful.
If you google DA42 Kneeboard it’ll come up!
Multi IFR with autopilot? That’s awesome. I had to fly a clapped out Seminole for my multi IFR
I didn’t use the autopilot!
Cockpit centre camera view reminds me of the Star Wars Episode I Phantom Menace, Pod-racer. Nice video
Haha love it!
Ben fab video and i wondered who was the CFII?? One question-why did you not file IFR? wouldn't that be the best experience-builder for real IFR operations? your ME CFI would serve as PIC.
The flight was flown IFR, it didn’t require a flight plan. I think there’s some differences between the US and UK going off your questions.
Plane Old Ben not sure I agree per ICAO Annex 2 “Rules of the Air” Chapter 5 and Chapter 3.6.2 “Adherence to flight plan.’
Love all aircraft including
GA Aircraft. Keep up the great work and hope you get flying again.
Thanks, Michael.
Great video Ben as always!
Thanks Joe, hope you’ve got back to PPL flying!
@@PlaneOldBenI've got issues with my medical atm unfortunately but hopefully it'll be sorted soon! 🤞
Taking my dual engine land checkride in two days, cheers from America!
Good luck with it!
Another great Video Ben and always a great approach. :)
Thanks Declan!
Very nice! Enjoyed as always
Thank you!
