*I found a fix for the online license check for the 2024 version which is altogether a PITA but also illegal.* If you have an older version installed, open that, then open 2024 and it doesn't need internet access to use VST's and other restricted functions.
*I've been fuming pissed over the license but was fortunate enough to still own 2016 legally, just like I do 2024, and discovered this is what it does.*
