I’m thinking bout getting Magix music maker 2025 premium tomorrow but I just want to record my songs I have wav file beats is it worth it I’m trying to record and mix and master my vocals?

*I found a fix for the online license check for the 2024 version which is altogether a PITA but also illegal.* If you have an older version installed, open that, then open 2024 and it doesn't need internet access to use VST's and other restricted functions. *I've been fuming pissed over the license but was fortunate enough to still own 2016 legally, just like I do 2024, and discovered this is what it does.*

The K1V 8-bit VST has a unique purpose in that although it sounds quite horrid in some of the instruments it's voiced with, *a very valuable skill can be self-taught because with enough processing, you can achieve perceived authenticity that passes for the acoustic instrument having been recorded.* There are undoubtedly VST's worth paying for but the overwhelming majority, they're not. With virtually every instrument you desire, someone has produced a free VST that uses real samples of that instrument but sifting through the hundreds out there is not fun! DAW's in themselves are a dime a dozen without any named one truly being in a class of it's own. They can all be shown to do something special that qualifies them for that honorable mention of "the best". As it is I can hear clearly when watching movies like the new Mad Max and countless others the entire scores are someone on a computer using synths and sequencers. It's rare they still bring in full orchestras to record a score even on the most expensive of film and television projects.

Bottom line is workflow speed is untouchable by everything else and it doesn't drown you in dropdown menus and submenus, but has virtually every features of far more popular and expensive DAW's. I can sequence an elaborate VST instrument arrangement in it painlessly, record guitar easily, and the automation of intuitive functions makes getting an elaborate song done in a few hours rather than days or a week pretty simple. After that, you can get deep into post editing with it, or export to something else. *The instability makes it a piece of crap lol.*

Thanks for sharing, your beats have a really good flow to them! I've been looking for a good music software that I could use to make music online with and thanks to you, I believe I've found it. I'm honestly a total newbie overall in regard to music making but I used to have an old program when I was a kid called GarageBand which is somewhat similar to this program but on my Macintosh computer and now more recently wanted to pick up making music again like I used to mess around with when I was around 14 (I'm now 34 BTW).

Brother please do tell me, what software you use to make these images??? Please, they would be a real help in my future music videos... Your artwork is second to none...

Bro, just a constructive comment. Please always get to the point of any of your videos and stay on the topic of the video or else your viewers will just fast forward or click to another video. YOur "Automation" topic started at the 4min and 26sec mark! As well, know what the steps are before "teaching". What good is a teacher when the teacher is learning as he goes. Not knowing why something didn't work and proceeding by trial and error, holds your viewers for a few seconds of you trying to see why a command didn't work or you trying to figure out why. Defeats your purpose of "teaching". Most viewers do not have patience. This all wastes your viewers time. No disrespect - just a comment to make your vids much more better.

I will be 63 in April. I was a singer in a punk/industrial band in the early nineties with 2 very talented musicians. I never learned how to play an instrument, and hadn't done anything musically since parting ways with my band mates. It was in mid 2021 when I first purchased MM and I love it. Since then I have produced over 100 original songs that outshine everything my band recorded in the 90s. I am mostly doing House music, as I have a special project in the works, but have also done many techno and trance songs and even reggae.I have a friend that is working with me. He is an accomplished pianist and electronic musician and hates MM and wants me to switch to waveform. Instead , I just started using loopcloud with MM and he can't tell the difference. I am not as talented as you and have not used any instruments, only loops. I may not be a musician, but I am a pretty darn good loop arranger. Keep on rocking!

Word up man, can you explain how to line up a live audio track like vocals in the timeline without being constrained to the midi beat markers? I need a free range of motion to line my tracks up.

It's done the same to me I understand how it can be discouraging sometimes when it reboots it does bring back what i was doing but I got into the habit of saving a lot to get things done. Would have loved to see were you were going with it tho.

*I am an avid ranter about this DAW lol.* For the speed of workflow in it has no competition, and while some builds seem toyish, it has every necessary function with great depth, and the GUI makes it hands down the best DAW for a beginner to start on. The most recent updates also gave it a bit more professional appearance, and the price is unbeatable. My only complaint is, they eliminated BeatBox Plus 2, and replaced it with the awful Beatbox Pro, *but you can open MPC Beats in it's full form as a DAW within a track on Magix as a VST, so I'm taking the route of learning yet another DAW because it's a ground breaking innovation.* What Akai did with this innovation is truly ingenious.
