Sorry about that i am going to say Michael but Greek is not a dead language, the Greek we speak now are a more common version of the Greek that the ancients spoke back then
it´s obvious that he means what we call "Classical Greek", this one is dead... he´s been to Greece many time, he obviously knows that Greeks speak Modern Greek... let´s be a less imbecile, pls
@@duiliodelimaalmeida9374 You are right and the truth is the way modern Greek are being spoken, is the way that any other language in the world is spoken , actually I don't know any civilization that is currently speaking and experiencing language as the ancient Greeks did. We have to say though that there are similar words existing in the modern Greek, as well as some grammar similarities. but it is a huge debate that has to be done by scholars.
Just amazing personality! Really one of the people that changed my view and how I get my knowledge for history
Prof Scott brought Greece to life in many ways!
He’s just so awesome. I’m lucky he’s president of my classical association so I get to see him !
I'm very lucky to have interviewed him and to have met him several times!
He is brilliant!
Just wondering if he's related to late Reverend Michael Guthrie Scott. He made history here in Namibia.
Assistant to the Professor of Classics
