University of Sussex (flat tour, first day) - Study Abroad Vlog 1

- This summer, I'm studying abroad at the International Summer School at the University of Sussex! This is my first vlog for the summer where I'll show you what East Slope looks like, the dorms I'm staying in for the summer, what I've been doing before getting to school, and what my first day is like.

Welcome to England! Congratulations on having the good taste to come to Brighton (where I live) and study at U.Sussex (which I am old enough
to remember being built in the 60's). I hope you have a great experience here. Be sure to explore as much as you can. I can recommend a trip to
Lewes (pronounced Lewis, not Loose) just a few miles away. It's a small but historic town with its own castle, great views and many cute little
shops and cafes. Brighton itself is justly famous for the number and variety of its shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. If you don't have a really
good time here, well, you just haven't been trying. Looking forward to more vlogs...…………………………….the old man by the sea.

Wow it was interesting to hear about differences between usa and uk. I m living in Turkey. Here prices also includes taxes and there is no tip culture like US
What would you say is the most valuable thing learned about this experience looking back now two years later?

Can you get a spare key / a replacement one?
Idk about getting a spare key, but you could definitely get a replacement key at the front desk if you lose it
I want to ask you.. In Sussex flat can we bring a pet?
Which building of East Slope is this like is it Lullington or?
Olie Martins I’m in Lullington, but all the other buildings are almost all the same. Some don’t have the private bathroom, and you have to share with someone, and other flats have more people, but the rooms and look of the common areas are all the same in East Slope :)

@@iDash68 is bodiam on suite and does it have single beds?
@@sanaaahmad5433 i think some of bodiam is ensuite and some is communal bathroom, the beds are double

Hey, how far is the walk to main campus
Hi there, sorry this is late! But the dorms are basically on campus, but I’d say a 5 minute walk to Jubilee hall and even less to the main dining hall. Other locations like the library were further, say 10 minute walk
Is this the East Slope
This is Lullington but east slope looks similar!
