Grass Island Shack image is really quite nice. Amazing that the drawing in of the viewer’s eye actually works in a reverse fashion from light to darker.
That shot worked out quite fine. I was fighting it at first, then came to realization that it actually does draw in the eye despite it's bright contrast.
The channel markers is my favorite image of the lot, sometimes minimalism wins the day. Well done video of your workflow in LR, and your thought process while on site and of reviewing the images later.
Always interesting to hear a thoughtful walk through of photos and relate to how shots taken in the field don't always make it to keepers for print - your comment @ 02:30 "I'm not going to use these at all..." and just permanently deleting is spot on, cull cull cull and don't look back. Great video, liked and subscribed
It took me years before I would just delete images that I knew back then I'd never use, & yet I wouldn't delete them. It's certainly refreshing! Thanks for supporting the channel!
WOW, a very nice & educational video. It’s so amazing to learn all you explain. No matter how old I get, I always love to learn !! Thanx my son. I so enjoyed it all! ❤
Hey sorry, I totally lost track of time and forgot what day it was. Nice lesson on shooting with not much color. I liked the last composition the best, maybe because it had the most color, the bright orange life ring really pulled me in. No pun intended tended. This video just goes to prove you can find good photos no matter what time of year it is, you just have to get out there and look for them. Great job, mark.

Nice video, Mark! Love seeing your mindset in your workflow. Great photo for the boat in the fog with all the piling. Love those leading lines.
Thanks Bruce. Sometimes the post workflow can be nearly as fun as the on location shooting. As was the case with this surprising morning.

The markers turned out well, a surprising morning, full of mystery and rare opportunities. Thanks Sam.

It certainly proves the notion that... "You won't know, if ya don't go".
