The Hymany Way is a short trail that goes from Ballygar to Portumna, along Galway's eastern border. While the Hymany Way has a bit of a reputation for being overgrown, we found it to be quite manageable (or, Carl did - Ellie has hayfever). We want to especially thank the centre for the Battle at Aughrim and Cahill's in Ahascragh for their hospitality :)
The heat on this one was the main enemy - the Shannon Callows are an incredible, unique place, with rich nature and birdlife, but also, very little in the way of shade. Hope you enjoy the video!
Next week: The Nore Valley Way. We're only three or four trails ahead of these videos!

This video is kid friendly!
I can’t stop watching tough soles videos! Just became a patron there too - only €1 a month but it’s the very least I can do given all the inspiration / enjoyment your videos have provided!! I hope there’s many more to come ❤
Nearly three years later and I still wake up in the middle of the night thinking "I can't believe I mispronounced the Beara Breifne Way as Barra Breifne Way in the Hymany Way video"
Great video, great quality picture. What type of Camera are you using here.
Thank you! It's a Panasonic GX8.
We made a video talking about the camera and gear we use too - ua-cam.com/video/Zm-XrvAPzB8/v-deo.html
How did you get the font to appear behind the trees and people walking at [20s]?
Great video by the way!
+Rich Smith Its fairly easy to do actually, it's called rotoscoping in visual effects. Basically, you take your video and you draw an outline around the shapes you want to appear in front of something. Sort of like cutting it out, in paper. Then you layer that cut out section (the mask) on top of the original video, and sandwich the text between the two layers. I used after effects to make it happen. Hope that helps!
+Rich Smith and thanks! I'm glad you like the video!
@@ToughSoles huh so that'd what rotoscoping is

It's a name! I don't know who it refers to but the English variant would be along the lines of Robert O'Kelly.
Tough Soles, ah i see thanks...just realizing the old Celtic culture had similar views/ways of that of the north american Indians, you guys had druids and respected nature! cool stuff! the roman and British empire erased much of that as the american and Spanish empire erased much of ours.
