  • We walked from Ventry to Dunquin over varied terrain. It took us 5 hrs 45 minutes to walk 10.5 miles with an elevation gain of 1,341 feet. The weather varied during the day from cloudy to clear to cloudy and finally clear to town. It was an enjoyable walk with spectacular views of the Great Blasket Islands, Slea Head, Dunmore Head and Coumeenoole Bay.
Our stay in Ventry at “The Plough B & B was so nice. The hostess and her sister were super sweet.

Thank you so much for your very detailed videos, it helps me a lot to plan my trip for May 2024, when I will be hiking the Dingle Way with my daughter.

Really enjoying walking along with you, your comments, and recommendations. Making notes for my August 2024 walk, especially the food stops.

Thank you so much. When I started making UA-cam videos that was my intention. That’s what I look for when I watch videos. Information and trail conditions and safety. I hope your trip is just as amazing. Currently touring Italy and Croatia. Some hiking but lots of walking. New videos coming the end of May.

I did the whole Dingle Way in the summer of 2004. It was a great walk, though on this stretch, near the Celtic and Prehistoric Museum, I got pursued by a rowdy farmer, who accused me of trespassing, even though I kept to the right-of-way. He chased me in his car and called me a f***ing a******. Luckily, I reached the opposite gate in time.

Seems you didn't miss the best parts after all. I remember when I walked the trail in 2004, the views of the beehive huts and Dunmore Head were the most spectacular.
