Wakanda is egalitarian. Shuri can be Queen if she wants to bc shes the heir, but she passed the throne to M'Baku, which is why he landed at Warrior Falls. So M'Baku will be King of Wakda while Shuri remains Black Panther. Once tiny Prince T'Challa is old enough to start his ceremonies and training, he will be crowned both King of Wakanda and the new Black Panther.
Unless M'Baku says nope, you gotta fight my son for the throne like I fought T'Challa
Hopefully the reactor now understands that Wakanda is the name of the whole country not just the capital city.
Wakanda is not egalitarian, in the sense that there is a clear ruling class (which shows no bias in the class based on gender).
Toussaint still has steps to cover before worrying about ascension, the first being an official acceptance as heir of King T'Challa from the Tribal Council.
Because the only one left to vouch for him is his mother, Nakia, with everyone else hearing it second/third hand.
Assuming his status is affirmed and he comes of age, he'll have to achieve the two mantles separately.
Shuri would have to stand down as Black Panther, and the ruling class would have to then accept him being Black Panther (or Toussaint having to do so by force).
And then there'd be King M'Baku, who has no reason to clear the path for Toussaint. So Toussaint likely has to take down the strongest regular human in the MCU, or he stands as his regent and waits until the throne is empty (in a similar way as his father and King T'Chaka)
@@igweugo is M'Baku a regular human? I assumed he has his superpowers by now. Super strength and endurance. He wears the white gorilla skin in the second movie and survives a punch from Namor.

Had the ancient hardwood (which is treated as being pretty darn durable), and is basically a unit of a man (the comic canon has him being 7' tall, 350lbs), but nothing weird has happened to him yet... he's still a vegetarian.
The strength that he has is how own, and comes from his lineage
Shuri as black panther and the way she was gonna ride for her family until the end and namor being namor and being a menace while also being somewhat understanding is what made this movie so great.

If I remember correctly, despite his illness, Chadwick Boseman was in talks with Ryan Coogler about where he'd like to see the story go. The son was always supposed to be introduced, due to the 5 year blip, and it be more of a father-son movie. Father having to balance running a nation post-blip (Remember T'Challa got dusted) and be father to his son.
Then Boseman died in August 2020. The filming was already being delayed because of the pandemic with a slated start date of March 2021. With Chadwick's death + reworking the entire script, they pushed filming back to June 2021. The story turned into one that was supposed to honor his memory, while trying to move the story forward. For many of the cast, this was their first time getting back together and they were still emotionally raw from losing Chadwick and him not being a presence on set.
Toussaint is the name of an Haitian freedom fighter. Such a significant name. Fantastic movie. Great reaction bro!!✊🏾❤

The performances were amazing. The pacing was a bit slow in some parts but the emotion was there in every scene. Namor felt like a real threat to Wakanda. Ironheart had a decent intro to the MCU. It was a good movie.

FUN FACT FOR DOM: The actor who plays Riri Williams, Dominique Throne, actually initially auditioned for the role of Shuri and she even auditioned in a scene together with Chadwick Boseman. Such an amazing thing that she now plays as the friend/"sister" of the current Balck Panther now.

Namor and his people are actually Atlanteans but they didn’t want to be compared to AquaMan so they went the Mayan route. Prince T’Challa will most likely become a “Young Avenger” whenever they start working on that story line

definitely an over hated movie, I really liked it, only aspects I didnt like was iron heart bc I felt like it wasnt the right approach to have her become iron heart so fast but it was emotional and i really liked it

So she was doomed from the start. I think this was the quickest way to get her in and up to speed for later use. Think about it. People called kate bishop in the Hawkeye show woke and there wasn’t a single woke thing about her character in that show. She just happened to be a woman. Lol. This shit had gotten out of hand. Eveyone on both the fake woke side and the anti everything wide are stuck in hyperbolic statement land.
@@TheIcemanthomas This take is horrendously braindead. I love this movie and everything about it except for Iron heart. It was rushed, simple as that. Literally most of the main characters in this movie are women. So enjoying the movie and hating women is contradictory. Namor was great but Shuri was hands down the best part of this movie.
You need to accept that not everything is perfect, and that there are going to be mistakes in everything, instead of saying that if people don't like something then that must mean they are sexist. Get off your high horse and turn on your brain.

So the way the movie ends, it would seem that M'Baku becomes the King of Wakanda as he is seemingly unopposed. Shuri seems to have been acting as Black Panther the same way that T'Challa was during Captain America Civil War. M'Baku could now take up that mantle though, and we could even seen two Black Panthers.

The Jabari have been isolated from the rest of the tribes in Wakanda since basically the establishment of order under Bashenga (even though canon does have a Jabari Black Panther).
The chances that M'Baku has a descendant linked to Bashenga, or that he would be willing to pray as a totem to the Panther Goddess Bast are basically none.
Beyond that, if they want to go that way, Hanuman has its own divination for M'Baku

... they're not all happy; Namor literally calms Namorra down by letting her know that the yield wasn't really a yield, and when colonizers do as they always do, Wakanda will turn to Talokan for help, and they'll still just go forward with the plan to rule the surface world.
And we don't know what Shuri is going to be feeling, emotionally, when it comes time for her to honor her mother's memorial...

New Subscriber. I'm really enjoying your channel. Some of Chadwick's best work was portraying actual people. He was excellent as James Brown in GET ON UP, Jackie Robinson (first Black player in Major League Baseball) in 44, & Thurgood Marshall (first Black Judge on the U.S. Supreme Court) in MARSHALL. A great talent and seemingly a very nice guy.

"AD" is an abbreviation of Anno Domini (the year of our Lord Jesus Christ). The Spanish encountered Native Peoples of Mexico and Central America in 1502 AD. Namor's tale begins not long after the Colonizers (as Shuri would call them) pulled up. Chaac was one name for the Mayan god of rain (Tlaloc, or Talok is another way and that seems to be the origin of the name Talokon. Unclear why they use both names for their god. Except that it's a mashup of multiple cultures of the area).
ETA: LOL at Don being all "that was resourceful" about the Talonil stealing the underwater suit from the CIA for Shuri to use.
ETA2: Black Panther 3 is expected to happen but it's not been announced as on the next Phase's schedule. Also, an Ironheart (Riri) series that already filmed, a rumored-Okoye spinoff, and something about the world of Wakanda in the works at Disney+.

Namors ppl all had the herb from the vibranium soil and they're all superhuman, I still feel like the panther should stop being greedy and let all his ppl have some super juice too 😂 lol...btw since mbaku is king now, tachallas son would have to challenge mbaku for the throne when he gets older.
In Wakanda only certain people can take the herb as it works with your genetics, and it either works or kills you horribly. That's why typically the mantle of Black Panther is handed down. It worked for T'Chaka, T'Challa, Killmonger, and Shuri (although she was a bit worried and asked not to be covered so they could have access to her just in case) due to them all being related.
I can somewhat agree with idea with most of the tribes of wakanda to be supers as well but I think that each Top Warrior from each Tribe should be given a Suit from their respective tribes and powers, cuz I've always felt that letting one family be in power from the rest of the people of Wakanda never really settled well for me because Wakanda is more than one family. Wakanda is formed and protected by All the Tribes (Golden/Panther Tribe, Border Tribe, River Tribe, J'abari Tribe, Merchant Tribe, and Mining Tribe).
The herb in Wakanda was toxic to anyone not Bashenga, the first Black Panther in modern time 6000 BC.
So it's only those of the lineage of Bashenga who are able to ingest the herb and not die.
Bashenga likely found his wife in the ruling class of one of the 4 tribes that stayed under his rule, with that reality likely falling in on itself often, so that there's a likely sizable population with Bashenga's blood after 400 generations, but nothing to risk the whole population (with superstition/tradition keeping things light too)
Val - See "Falcon & Winter Soldier" and "Black Widow" ("Secret Wars" team building very long game) If you skip a movie or in canon series, some linking characters and schemes are missing. But status of future productions are in a state of flux this year..
