SCP 2119 is a parasitic organism that embeds itself in the human corpus callosum. Instances of SCP2119 contain both organic material, 97% biologically identical to Gryllus rubens (southeastern field cricket), and technological elements, including silicon components of an unknown nature and platinum wiring. As such, researchers conclude that the entities are most likely manufactured.
SCP-2119 will only infect unconscious human beings.

The best part of this channel is that considering how many scps there are this channel could theoretically go on forever
I think about that with TV shows and stuff a lot. If it's over something historic or a true story or something, it's kind of finite and limited but if it's sci-fi, far out kind of stuff, it's only limited by imagination and could go on indefinitely.

I'd imagine this SCP story is based on a real occurance. Overreaction to a cockroach problem (which where just crickets) and the rumbling boiler was the actual cause for the sleepiness; gas leakage.

Yeah these scenarios are becoming more and more realistic, and I can’t dislike these characters through their mistakes anymore…makes me feel bad
Still not that smart. If you ever find yourself getting sleepy out of the blue in an enclosed space, that's a clear sign that something is very wrong, most likely from a gas leak. As an exterminator that works with toxic gases for his job, this character should know better.

Especially if someone has a fireplace or often uses open fires, a poorly ventilated basement can become super dangerous. Even often using candles for years can fill up a basement with invisible murder gas. A broken boiler with some electric arcs could've been the case here.
The narrative creates a vivid picture that it's stunning. The visual add do much more to it. Looking forward to another, Doctor

That lady who believed she had an infestation of cockroaches probably had carbon monoxide poisoning or a leaking refrigerator. That can be one of the symptoms.
6:12 As a insect specimen collector myself, that stag beetle at the top right corner is very,very accurate! It is one of the subspecies of _Dorcus titanus_, a common species of stag beetle found throughout Southeast Asia. The only thing missing are the two front tarsuses, everything other than that is PERFECT. Great job Dr.Bob!

I love how the people infected with the "cricket" had that moment when they spoke that random conversation. I think the writer is making SCP-2119 out to be like a Numbers Station, where random conversations sometimes intrude on the regular number signals (also one of them is called "The Cricket").
That's honestly the creepiest part. And I love it.
You and the people you work with are amazing. The channel is nearing a million subs, which would have been a wild idea back then. I hope you hit that goal, you really have earned it.

It's amazing to watch this channel grow. I remember the early vids of seemingly just one guy and now the quality is really improving and the style is getting more polished. I absolutely love it. And I adore Dr. Bob as well, can't wait to see if he gets his own designation in the future with how he handles coming into contact with some SCPs. He's certainly very capable.
Another awesome SCP video, Dr Bob. The way this parasite has bio-mechanical parts and the strange conversation from one incident, in my opinion, implies that these anomalies might be from the Anderson Robotics group of interest, as they focus on para-tech and other strange anomalous technology.
But hey, that may not be the case, but that's what I think.
Even if it's not from Anderson, I still like the idea of biological machines. Metal that can regrow, iron that can regenerate, electrical devices that can bleed.

Anyways, think more like Siren head or something like that. Contain The Bismark is also a good example or biological materials; regenerating ships and such.
Honestly, Dr. Bob is EASILY the BEST SCP channel!! The quality has only gone up as the Patrons come in (AKA they have more time and personnel to put on each vid)! Although nowadays I can’t keep up with the vids (blue collar) I GREATLY appreciate and recommend Dr. bob over all!

I've watched many a scp videos from numerous scp channels, but yours just stand out from the rest of them for me. From the cool animated cold opens to the breakdown of the SCP itself, its like im watching a neat concise presentation with a well documented event that relates to the SCP in question.

I'm going to say this and I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way. Dr. Bob's narration of the beginning of these videos where everything seems normal and relatable before shit gets anomalous gives me such a nostalgic wholesome, soothing vibe, it might be my favourite part of these videos.

LETS GOO I can see the improvement in the animation an insane amount! The idle bouncing motion of the cricket is awesome, and the cool ambient lightning of Dr Bob is awesome. I also love all of the movements of the pest control guy, outstanding work!
