I’d say the train shakes more when there is less people in the train. Personal opinion, this is better than Dragster. I would trade off the Dragster launch to the 3 launches of TT2, and how many airtime you would get on this ride. Nice video guys!
Nice to see all you content creators enjoying Top Thrill 2. "Beachcliff Studios", " Not your normal guy" , and "Ghoster Coasters". All of you guys gave great information and entertainment in the off season. Im making the trip Saturday for the weekend. Thanks again to all you guys.

We’re u there Sunday ? If so sorry I missed u there I rode 5-6 but it broke down we finally got on around 7:20 great ride thought it’s better than the original speeds up nicely on the backwards and final forward shots plus good airtime going down the spiral

If I’m not allowed to say this, please delete it… I was in line when it went down outside of the fence and it was a problem with the switch track… They kept checking it out and then eventually it moved back. Again if this is not cool for me to say that you can get rid of it. I mean, they fixed it. It was no huge problem just probably a mechanical sensor or something. That said, I loved it… I like this just a little bit better than the original, mainly because that backwards launch is unbelievable.
You can say anything in our comments as long as it’s not slandering someone or spewing hate. An issue with the switch track will probably come up many times.

Yeah dude, i was in line and saw at least a dozen people go up and talk to them/ask for pictures/wave. Awesome stuff guys, keep it up.
Edit: i was the kid in line who asked what the channel name was as you guys were walking away.
I really liked Top Thrill 2. I was able to ride in the back seat today/opening day as my first ride. The POV from the back of the train on the spike was crazy, as well as the backward launch. The whip over the tophat felt amazing too. I actually saw you guys on opening day yesterday which was awesome. Not sure if you remember me, but I was the guy who yelled: "Beachcliff Studios, what's up?!" with a Halloween sweatshirt on as you guys were going to the front of the fast lane line lol. At first I saw Milo (sp?) and had to do a double take. Then I saw your tattoos and I knew it was you guys. Although I didn't get to speak to you, it was very cool to see you guys in person after watching your videos for several years. You guys made a great guide for Halloweekends when I went a couple years ago. Thank you for that. Lots of good tips! I'm going again today / Sunday, and tomorrow Monday. I will have fast lane for today which is awesome. I want to ride in the front of the train this time. I will always love the OG Dragster, you can't beat that zero to 120 mph launch, but this was an awesome experience.

I was there yesterday as well - And I will say ill take the LAUNCH ( 0-120) any day, but what they did, ABSOLUTLEY love the remake.
The shimmy/shake, I didnt even really notice at all.

@@gskinner7440 I waited 5 minutes but with that being said, I arrived at 3pm and waiting in line before the event started. So in all about an hour!

I will be there for opening day! I’m glad you mentioned the shake that’s been the only bad thing I’ve noticed from what I’ve been watching it really whips you to the side when going up to the top hat I agree in a couple years it may begin to be a problem CANT WAIT FOR THIS WEEKEND!

i waited about two hours in line to ride today and about 45 minutes of that was that first big breakdown. luckily they worked quickly to reopen

Unfortunately new rides don’t typically affect things the way people hope. Maybe like 10 minutes less for other rides but that’s about it

Before long, you will be selling branded merch of your own! We have got to get out there this year! Last time at The Point was Coastermania 2003. Dragster was down all day even though it was featured on the button! We will have nothing to compare it to so it should be off the charts!
Lol I can promise no beachcliff studios merch will ever happen. BUT we do have some merch ideas that won’t say beachcliff anywhere
Feel like the trains being lighter allows that shake to happen. The old Heavier trains were probably more stable but also requiring more power to move it. It’s a trade off I think. Even if the track was perfectly straight etc I think the wind and flex of the track just lets it happen. But it’s just my speculation.
Could very well be the case. Not unlike filming with a light camera, your footage could get very shaky.

Yes, they are right where they used to be
my guess as to why the "Dragster Shimmy" (that's what im calling it) exists, is beacuse A, there are no lateral supports at the base of the tophat and launch track and B, you can feel it more because you're on that section of the track for much longer than the original

I agree with both of you in that I think it's slightly better than the original, but it's still not worth more than a 30 minute wait.
I’m wondering if you have any idea how long the last two track sections are on the spike? If yes then we can approximate the reverse launch height…! 🤓🤘
We don’t know but a good guess is the back row reaches in the 390 range.

how long was the line wait with the boarding time slot?
One ride we waited like 15 minutes or so and the other was over an hour
I knew immediately it would be a little shaky from the pov when Tony rode.

We waited like 15 minutes our first time and over an hour our second time.
I think you would probably feel a little more shimmy or shake because of the higher center of gravity of the lightning trains. I don't think it's a track issue so much. Even the OG had a bit of a shimmy to the back of the train. You see it worse on kingda ka. I think that higher center of gravity is causing the shimmy feel, and the laterals seem more pronounced going up and down the tophat, all explainable by a higher center of gravity.

do you think the shake is from the trains sitting higher than the old trains? I kind of think the higher trains messes up the heart lining a little bit. I think we've got a worthy replacement here, as long as it doesn't constantly break down. they made the area look beautiful. I can't wait to go out there and see it all for myself. maybe if it's nice on Sunday. I got a new car so maybe a little trip is in order

I guess it got a little rain for the charity event and that’s the time it would close.
I was at the preview as well but only the Prayers from Maria part, didn’t have a Keychain or Prestige. Would have been cool to see you guys but I’m sure I’ll see you at CP at some point. Really liked the filming and editing in this one. Was that all filmed with your phones?

I’d venture to guess the new style lighter weight trains are the reason for the rattle. Hopefully it doesn’t result in short lifespan witch is my concern

They were free yesterday but we think it’s like $3. We’ll find out on Saturday for sure

You didn’t feel anything on the ride though. Kingda ka you definitely feel the roughness though

I just miss dragsters seats I think the original dragster seats were better with that lap bar other than that I have yet to ride it I hope to soon I have a summer pass but it’s the perfect replacement

@BeachcliffStudios I'm not going until memorial day. I just hope they've fixed the stability of the ride. You know how it was, if the wind blew 10mph they would shut it down or if a bird pooped on it, they would shut it down so I'm really curious if they got that figured out because lets be honest to show up at CP just for the dragster to be down absolutely killed the vibes. I mean you got ppl traveling from all across the world to be met with the BS of it being shutdown.

A few reasons. Largely because we don’t tell the cedar point story the way they want it told. It’s no big deal.
WOW! Media Day shouldn't be about them controlling the narrative going out regarding the park's upcoming season and/or new attractions, at least not when any media from that day includes remarks or other commentary which is presented in such a way as to lead the audience to believe such statements are the true, unbiased, subjective opinion of those releasing them. Cedar Point/Fair Management had all the time they desired prior to Media Day for them to get everything how it should be so that any of the media outlets in attendance for the event would be unable to honestly say anything other than telling "the Cedar Point story how they want it told".
What if the things that people liked about the old dragster were also the things that made it unreliable
Oh the launch is what we all liked so much and it was 100% what made it unreliable
Okay it seems from what you're reacting to like everybody's trying to find a negative we got to really look at the positive of what's your point was trying to do and what they was going through when the incident happened and then on top of it to y'all trying to make this machine into something we can't have no more I think we have to be happy we still got it the way it was it seems like it's called way faster than what it used to be
