Huh...i have to ask....how is that so thick? Different species or something? The coconuts I ever get are 3 mm thick at best...

Coconuts come in different sizes and shapes. There are different types of coconuts, green ones, brown ones, yellow ones, orange ones. And I am talking about the fresh unripe fruits that's still on the tree. There are coconuts that is as big as your head and coconuts as small as your fist. Even the trees of some coconuts have different colors too.

@@blackbway that I know but I have never found coconuts this thick which sucks cause its the perfect thickness for a bugbear.
A bugbear is a type of 18th century powderflask. Some were made into carriage flasks for the cannons on a ship. They are sometimes elaborately carved and inlayed with bone, ivory, gold or silver depending on the wealth of the owner.

If you buy coconuts it might not be easy to find what you are looking for, because the industry usually sells what they often refer to as perfect. Coconuts with thick shells are often the smaller variety, which does not carry much water or meat.
I use to have one such tree.
Did not like it one bit, too small fruit and too hard shell to get to the fruits.
