Time machine still has not been invented yet, but there are times when you are cruising the timber in buckskin with a flintlock and feeling the ground beneath your moccasins, doing what men like Jedidiah Smith, Jim Bridger, Bill Williams, Joseph Walker, experienced, the finest restaurant in the world can't put better on the plate than back strap you harvested, and sharing a buffalo robe under the stars with a woman and not caring if the fire burns down. Bathing in a stream wearing nothing but your rifle. Finding places in the desert or mountains that ancient man left his mark on with pottery shards and arrow heads, or rock and earthen structures, even just a small fire ring is a mind-blowing journey. Knowing how to make your own black and cast ball makes you immune to the ammo shortage. The wilderness is no longer a place it is a part of your soul, and a reminder that life is often short and unpredictable with joy at a premium but that's O.K. because I am going to get as many bites as I can. Someone said one time that before you can go forward sometimes you must take a step back. To know how easy you got it today you had to have lived a little hard. I am getting ready for my trip to the other side, so I am hoping I get to see some more videos from you, for me that is real medicine. Thank you Compadre.
