Tech N9ne opened up to VladTV about growing up in Kansas City and watching the crack epidemic spread through his neighborhood. He also shared how he linked up with 57th Street Rogue Dog Villians, which was not yet a Blood gang when he joined.
After speaking about watching a lot of his friends die, Tech N9ne revealed that he was saved from the streets after going to live with his aunt. To hear more, including Tech N9ne signing his first deal with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Watch above. - Розваги

I literally just typed out a whole comment about that, posted it the scrolled down and saw your comment lol "Imagine how grateful the police are for being able to put so many gang members into their databases and verify gang rosters... Just building rico cases for the feds, they get to just sit back while he does all the work for em smh"
Vlad is the modern day Donny Brasco.

I remember when the only Blood rappers in the 80's and 90's were DJ Quik, Mack 10, Cypress Hill, Boo Yaa Tribe, and the Bloods on Bangin' On Wax....now everybody a Blood!!
HipHopR&BLover Jon everybody else gets blackballed
RIP B Brazy
Lamar Brown Sen Dog and B-Real are from Neighborhood Family. Latinos used to be in Black gangs in LA. Technically Sen Dog and B-Real got Black in them since they're part Cuban and were able to grow afros in the 90's.
damu ridas is another

Tech N9ne needs another Vlad Tv interview in 2022
Vlad For the next interview you upload with Tech N9ne, you really need to ask him about how he was influenced by West Coast Hip-hop, and how both Kansas City and Detroit were highly influenced by West Coast Hip-hop as well. Because that is something I have been really dying to hear him speak on for a long time now, and plus a lot of people fail to mention that most of the time. Also, ask him about how he first met and learned about Jay Rock and how he ended up signing him to his label, and what his current relationship with Jay Rock is right now. That would be really amazing to see, and I know a lot of people would love to see that as well.
George Kumria wella lot citys were inda laye 80 mid 90 cause it was west court lile right music rideing wave of atl bit anouy come back to da west west up
Corey Compton What exactly do you mean by that honestly ?
We have our OWN sound in KC but are heavily influenced by the bay
go watch techs drink champs episode he covers alot in that
Well I can just go ahead and solve that mystery for you right now....The reason why Kansas City is heavily influenced by bay area rap is because there is a large drug pipeline that has existed for years between the two areas. In the south like Mississippi Baton Rouge Little rock you tend to see a lot of LA guys out there... but for some reason Bay Area and KC have been tight since the early 90s. The gang structure in KC isn’t like how it is in LA despite the Bs and Cs. And also because Bay Area and Sacramento street rappers are usually authentic.... so they were actually going out of town to KC and also brought their music with them....
someone please make a "you know what im sayin" supercut
"I don' wanna say no names....a dj on my block,dj juice" wtf

The good life, project blowed!
It blows my mind that anything with Tech N9ne's name in it doesn't have a million views on the regular. He should be talked about like people talk about Dave Chappelle in comedy...
Fuck no.
Jonathan Terry gtfo. I dont fuck with Techs music that much but dude can spit and bop better than 90% rappers.

I remember this dude saying he never wanted to be mainstream and always screaming fuck the mainstream record labels but as soon as he got his major record label debut he was screaming I've been waiting for this all my life
He had a little platform at one point but he's mainly underground with mainstream type of respect sort of like an immortal technique
Huh? Tech always has been and still is a completely independent artist… his music is his own and distributed by his own label -Strange Music.
It's his record label no way is it mainstream ol dumbass
EVERYTHING IS ACTIVE

A gang is a gang this really no difference between the gangs
@@daquanleach2762 it's all a gang if a lot of people are down for one cause that's a gang the police is a gang where you work at is it gang your family last name fall under a gang the word game doesn't mean thugs and criminals
Best Rapper Alive!!!
Just a clarification, as far as a couple of conversations going on. Just because an LA gang set up shop in a city doesn't mean the dudes who were already there were soft or got pushed over. I just think that some cities and areas were more organized, and had an infrastructure in place. Sometimes the LA gang was just more organized. Kids are gonna gravitate to structure. Sometimes they had deeper pockets. It could be anything. But it doesn't mean they were soft...
Dogs And Yoga the dudes there weren't soft that's why we fit in so well. A lot of those dudes became like family. I still hang with those same guys today. But they're all Bloods now and been banging it since we came there in 86.
DJ BOP Yeah. It was less like a takeover, and more like an intermingling. That comment was kinda in response to the arguments
that was happening on another post. I'm from Oakland. So when we say that Cs and Bs never set up shop here, it shouldn't be looked at like saying that other cities lile Seattle, Sacramento, KC etc...were letting outsiders come in and takeover.
I admit, I used to think of it like that. But my cousin from Sac interviewed one of their blood OGs for his radio show and dude broke down how it was some guys from LA who had bread, and the connections. Not to mention, the culture and style of LA banging was really attractive to dudes. So it was a natural progression. It's not like an LA gang could sustain a war with dudes 400 miles away. They would get washed. But if you win them over, that's a different story.
@Krazy Emmett Yeah. I don't ever recall there ever being a "war" up here in Oakland. I was a little kid in the 80s and that's the ONLY time I heard about crips trying to move in. The Town was far to established and guys were getting paid here already. The main reason guys from LA were migrating, was dope. And we (they) already had structure. It was probably just a "thank you, but no thank you" type of thing here.
But I worked with an OG from 20 Blood and he said guys were definitely moving and shaking up here. Just not converting the natives over....
@Krazy Emmett Haha. Yeah. I had a pair of ben davis and loc sunglasses..
Real art is hard to understand. Big ups Tec
See if you can get Blind Fury

What the fuck is Vlad's fascination with the 80's and crack? Every single artist he brings on the show, this question comes up eventually somewhere in the interview.
